  1. Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the airport!
  2. Thanks for the good words Rick, Jan, & Jason. I think the Connie was one of the most graceful airplanes to ever take to the air. I was fortunate to get some passenger time in the Navy R7V and WV-2 versions "back in the day." :D
  3. TWA Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation by Redwing Simulations
  4. Ex Navy NOAA WP-3D Hurrican Hunter. Team KBT FSX conversion to FS2020. [ATTACH=CONFIG]230133[/ATTACH]
  5. USAF C-118 of the Military Air Transport Service (MATS). MSFS2020 DC-6A by PMDG.
  6. MSFS2020 USAF C130 by Captain Sim.
  7. So after 7 months of owning FS2020 today I finally decided it was about time for me to get out of the jet cockpits and try one of the props in the sim. At random I picked the XCub. Turned out to be a really fun airplane! Here are some shots of a short flight in the XCub from Malcolm McKinnon Airport (KSSI) on St Simons Island, one of coastal Georgia's "Golden Isles", down to Fernandina Municipal Airport (KFHB) in Fernandina Beach just over the Georgia/Florida border. Enroute we cross Jekyll and Cumberland Islands. [click for full screen views]
  8. Great atmospheric shot John.:cool: I've spent a bunch of RW time in the Vero Beach area but never knew there was a Piper facility there - maybe because all my time was on the beach. :D Anyway - this falls under the heading of "You learn something new every day!"
  9. Awesome shots John!:cool::cool: I don't do much in the way of helo flying but after these I may have to take it up!!:pilot:
  10. Nice capture of the Connie Chris. If you have all of Tom's downloads you have one heck of an FS hangar!!!
  11. Here are some random shots of the sights and scenes from a Horizon Air De Havilland/Bombardier Dash8 Q400 on a short commuter flight from Seattle Tacoma International Airport (KSEA) in Washington to Portland International Airport (KPDX) in Oregon. [click on the shots for full screen views] Climbing out of Runway 16L at KSEA with the snow covered summit of Mt. Rainier to the left and the runway of Joint Base Lewis McChord (KTCM) to the right About to level off at our cruise altitude of 12,000 feet for this short flight. Getting closer to Portland we pass Mt. St Helens which was the scene of a catastrophic volcanic eruption in 1980 that blew away the entire north side of the mountain. You can see the crater it left. Besides spreading volcanic ash over much of the western U.S. and Canada the eruption caused the largest landslide in recorded history. In the second shot we fly over the remains of one of the gigantic mudslides created when the blast melted the snow and glaciers on the mountains summit. Descending into KPDX. On this CAVU VFR day the tower clears us for a left traffic visual approach to Runway 28L. The second and third shots show us turning on the downwind and turning final. Shut down on the ramp showing off the distinctive 6 bladed props of our 2 P&W100 turboprop engines.
  12. A really great series highlighting the Golden Age of propliners & the continuing vitality of FS2004! 5 stars Larry :cool::cool::cool::cool:
  13. Great shots Adam.:cool: That storm was pretty nasty looking. Glad you waited until "after" to take off!
  14. Another attempt to pass off RW photos as sim shots!!!;):D:cool::cool: Great ones John. I really have to get that Arrow.
  15. Thanks John, Adam, and Larry. Here's the ATR: https://flightsim.to/file/9912/atr-72-600-working-cockpit There's also a great DASH 8-Q400. Both are FSX conversions with the cockpit aliased to the CJ4
  16. A LIAT (Leeward Islands Air Transport) ATR 72 makes a short 54 mile 20 minute commuter flight from V.C. Bird International Airport (TAPA) on Antigua to Robert Bradshaw International Airport (TKPK) on the neighboring West Indies island of St. Kitts on a sunny Caribbean day. [click on the shots to scroll thru full screen views] Takeoff and climb out to our 5000 foot cruise altitude over the turquois waters around Antigua for the short flight over to St. Kitts. Our destination of St. Kitts is in sight up ahead and to the right. The neighboring island of Nevis is visible to the left. Descending over the southern end of St. Kitts, turning final, and crossing the waves breaking on the Atlantic eastern shore of the island. The waves and surf on beaches on the eastern side of West Indies islands facing the Atlantic tend to be much rougher than on the western sides facing the calmer Caribbean. Something to keep in mind when booking beach front vacation hotels. :D Turning off the active, taxi to parking, and shutdown. Welcome to St. Kitts!
  17. Wow John - spectacular shots of the airplane and scenery along the Front Range!:cool: Are you sure these aren't RW photos?!:D
  18. Thanks Adam and Larry. Its nice to have the option of putting actual realistic looking crew figures in sim cockpits these days after years of looking at empty seats or blocky one dimensional figures! Now the question here is the correct term: "3 striper" - referring to a first officer - or - "stripper" - which would have an entirely different meaning! ;):D
  19. Great shots as usual Aharon!:cool: The Captain Sim 707 is one of my FSX favorites. I'm hoping they'll come out with an FS2020 version.
  20. Great series Chris. Having flown in and out of Bermuda many times in the RW these bring back many memories - especially the next to last shot of your windy approach to runway 30! :pilot:
