  1. 7W1 (Port of Ilwaco Airport) to KEKA (Murray Field Airport, Eureka CA) Not long after takeoff was Astoria, so I throttled down to view the bridge. Goonies never say die! KACV California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport A quick overview of KEKA Murray Field Airport, as I continue to follow Hwy 101 south towards Eureka for a bit of sight seeing. I hope someone customizes this airport, adds the missing building, and trims the trees back just a bit.
  2. I want to love the A320, but so far I hate it. I just find it to be slow and unresponsive when moving the joystick, and sometimes underpowered. I guess I just haven't spent much time trying to learn it. Glad things are working better for your though.
  3. The VFR aspect really shouldn't be understated. How many years did we pretend the scenery looked like anything at all. Sure, the IFR aspect was a bit more accurate I guess, but the ATC really sucked in FSX and FS9 as well. I almost never file them because the routing was so absurd on approach that I didn't see the point. However, to each their own. We all like different aspects of the sim. Not having to rely on GPS or a map to know where I'm going now is so over the moon amazing to me. Just my two cents.
  4. Three of my four CTD's happened in the LA area. One of them was after 6 hours of flying other places, and then changing the time and weather 4 times on approach to LAX, so I'll own that one. That one had lots of stutters before the crash.
  5. Excellent shots of Turkish in its glory!
  6. Miami is a proper getaway from LGA. Great, now I have Will Smith stuck in my head. Nice pics Bill!
  7. Angwin (2O3) to Little River (KLLR) Atop Howell Mountain in Napa's wine country, sits a small jewel almost removed from reality. Angwin is the home of Pacific Union College, which among other things has it's own airstrip where they also have a flight school. I never flew in and out of there myself, but I was present for a wedding, in which the bride and groom had their getaway in a Cessna Caravan of sorts. Looking southwest, in the direction of St Helena and Napa. Coming out of the clouds near Mendocino with gear at the ready Out of the clouds a bit high, but no bother, on such an amazing day I flew around for awhile before weather dictated I return. Was in a hurry and forgot to change the camera mode. Sorry for the flight info. Little River Airport sits up in the hills east of Mendocino, and is often used by flight medics per the remote location, weather, and lack of other airports to fly into in this region. Often it is unused per being covered in fog itself.
  8. Agreed! While sure there are still things I'd like worked out, the FS world seems so much bigger now that the scenery is so much more realistic.
  9. The only thing that could be more under the bridge would be the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Cheers mate.
  10. Nice work Bill. I feel like the icing effects in this sim are a bit brutal, but......maybe that's just life? lol Enjoyed this one.
  11. Enjoyed it Bill! Something about weather that makes flying more interesting
  12. Love the realism of seeing the weather on the radar.
