    Reading thru the MSFS forums, seems after almost every update, there are issues. Numerous updates, numerous issues. I remember FSX SP 1 and 2 were all that was needed. Big difference. Imagine getting MSFS running just the way you like, then, bam, another update, and it’s back to square one. No thanks!

    Thanks Rick! Actually, I was playing with this site’s feature of adding an attachment rather than use an outside source to post pics. I didn’t expect it to run together, lol!

    I bought REX Essentials for this very reason. It’s not bad; very accurate. And the graphics are good. But the free WX program mentioned above isn’t bad either.

    If it’s at all like FSX, you must be parked correctly. Too far back and they won’t work. Also, if you’re in a space that’s too small for your plane, it won’t work. Beyond that, I can’t help as I don’t have MSFS.

    I agree. Whatever happened to “if you prefer _____ over ______, great!” I’m at the point in my life where FSX still gives me enjoyment, as does my now “ancient” PC. I don’t have children and I quit the “buy the newest technology to keep up” phase long ago..

    I'd probably spend more money on a PC capable of running MSFS at high settings without crashing, than I did on FSX in total, which still works on the old reliable Windows 7 OS. Yeah, I'm not big on change, lol......

    Exactly. MSFS looks fantastic scenery wise, but lacks many other things.

    Heck, I still race NASCAR Season 2003. With mods still out there it’s like a new game every year. Same with FSX.

    It has to be related to the network frame error. I will say, downloading and installing this for me was a two day affair. They made it so damn hard without having a computer science degree. And their manual was no help at all. Their new website also sucks. I’d say give Active Sky a try. I know it’s old (2016) but it seems reliable.

    Hmmm hopefully I don’t get this… I recently purchased Sky Force after dumping REX Essentials for the same reason. (Live weather stopped working and the program is no longer supported) So far mine’s working fine. Please let us know what you find out.

    I couldn’t get it to work at all on my system. Clicking the icon to activate it did zero. It was like the icon wasn’t attached to anything; just nothing. So I got a refund.
