  1. What Malcott said. It’s a very complex plane; you have a lot of reading and video watching to do..
  2. The best waves I’ve seen are in my REX program. I bought the original version way back when and I can customize the water colors, wave intensity, etc. Well worth the low price!
  3. My first flight sim..... wasn’t Microsoft’s... It was Pro Flight Simulator 98. Then I “moved up” to Flight Unlimited III. Eventually I made it to FS 2002. Been with them ever since...
  4. From what I’ve read review wise, it’s like comparing a model car to a real one. I.e. it’s a toy compared to FSX.
  5. Looks interesting! Will more carriers be available? I mainly fly Delta planes at the moment.
  6. I’ve heard it can’t be done.
  7. I have the free FSWX as well, but stopped using it awhile back and went to REX instead. Why? Because I hated FSWX's winds. My Carenado Hawker would get these wind shifts that bounced it like a basketball. 4-6 degrees off course. Then BAM another wind shift back on course. Very annoying. Yes, winds aloft were checked off.
  8. All that work and sometimes the exterior lights don't work either. It's why I stay away from TDS planes..
  9. Cool! What 767 you have by the way? I don’t have one; I have the Quality Wings 757 collection.
  10. No problem. Hope it’s what you’re looking for!
  11. Yes, I have one from the library here. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fsview.php?do=list&fid=196184
  12. Don't buy any Ceranado planes. Although personally I like them, (I have two of them), none have 2D panels.. I also only fly in VC. Just seems more realistic to me, but to each their own..
  13. Still better than nothing. Adds atmosphere.
  14. CRJ_simpilot, I have that same Southwest package. Features "Colette" as both serious and humorous. I think it's available at Avsim. *edit Found it: http://www.flightsimhq.com/downloads/viewfile/373.html
  15. If I won the lotto? I'd stick to FSX. HOWEVER----a dream of mine is to have a full home cockpit, say a 737 one. For that, I'd need a separate room, so a new house with the accommodations would be on my "shopping list". Then, I'd scout the internet and find a built and ready home cockpit. (I couldn't build one myself; I'm not that mechanically inclined)
  16. UTX is far cheaper and looks just fine. ORBX's airports and smaller sceneries look great, but their FTX Global, in my opinion, is just better autogen. UTX does the same thing. (Also, their FTX Nevada is far too green for my tastes)
  17. As an aside, this upgraded virtual cockpit that Zippy linked to, is so good, many freeware aircraft have this as part of their package. I see it everywhere!
  18. Same here. I couldn't even get the lights to turn on.
  19. I had the same issue. I received a patch from a member here, but it didn't work. The TDS I tried now sits in my recycle bin....
  20. Beta tester means you were one of the first to test Acceleration before its release. I do not believe you can get the award now..
  21. Yeah, it's not as easy as it looks, I will say. Even if successful, I've read where some gauges are dark, don't function, etc. Yet TDS insists it can be done.... Good luck OP!
  22. This is too ironic.... Zippy, this was what I was messing with last night that made my FSX go bonkers. (NOT the Posky package) And there is a way to merge the default VC with this plane, but I couldn't get it to work.: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?282539-How-to-merge-the-Microsoft-default-Boeing-737-800-VC-with-the-TDS-MAX7-and-MAX8!
  23. One thing I started doing last year, was flying the Lear to each city Nascar is in, as if I'm a team owner. Start off in Daytona, (from Charlotte, NC, where most teams are based) then follow the Nascar schedule from there. I'll probably do it again this year.
