  1. It looks like in managed mode, when I start descending, the V/S is around 22-2400 fpm. I know I can adjust it, but that always seemed ok to me. The main problem like I said, is ATC starts my descent from say 36,000 to 28,000 feet, but I should be at say 12,000 feet as the next waypoint is approaching. It’s just too slow and by the time I should be on final around 2-3,000 feet, I’m still descending and am way too high to capture the glide slope, or even manually land, for that matter.
  2. Found this video to be useful in my case, seeing how I've never calculated TOD before. Using this method and ignoring ATC, I had a successful ILS landing. I only responded to ATC after my final was started. https://youtu.be/TIty_bGEE3c
  3. The Airbus is all automatic (computer controlled) so I don't know for sure..
  4. Took me awhile to find out. I've been getting my feet wet with the FBW A320 on short hops here and there, cruise alt of around 32,000 ft, and the ATC did its job on IFR approaches.. However, lately, I upped my game so to speak, and did a much longer flight from Vegas to Atlanta, with a cruise alt of 37,000 ft. Here's where I noticed issues: ATC had me descend much later than my TOD (Top of Descent). Then ATC talked me down slowly, to the point where I was still at 15,000 ft and THERE WAS THE RUNWAY!!!!!! Much too high to capture the glideslope, AND the Approach!! Had to declare missed and try again, and from there, the MFDU flightplan was all messed up. I couldn't reprogram the FMC. I aborted the long flight and had to go to "travel to Final" and cheat that way. This is a known issue as I've read from other forums. So my alternatives are, request the various descent altitudes myself, ignore the sim's ATC, or fly with online ATC. Ok, rant over, now my question: Any word on a fix for this? By the way, I always choose "low altitude airways" in the sim's plan, as was suggested to me by a good friend who's a diehard simmer himself...
  5. Community folder—-> airplanes I think. (I’m away from my pc)
  6. Salt Lake City to Minneapolis was no issue at all. FBW A320.
  7. There are YouTube videos as well of people that already have it. I'm guessing they had some kind of early access to it, but they're there.
  8. Yeah, overclocking is not in my computer capabilities. I bought my pc and left it untouched. “If it ain’t broke…” you know the saying.
  9. No idea. I bought it like this. “Off the shelf”.
  10. Me so far. Spec in my sig. Granted, I haven’t done a 5+ hour cross country/ overseas flight yet, but on average, 1-3 hours total, everyday.
  11. Right here on this site.. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/forumdisplay.php?54-MSFS-Flight-Videos
  12. From what I remember, they even went so far as to issue cease and desist orders to any site hosting even freeware versions of their jets.
  13. The newer versions of any Gulfstream private jet. I know there are some older freeware’s of the I and II, but any of the modern ones, no, as Gulfstream refuse their brand to be used at all.
  14. Those that don’t know will probably just buy it for Xbox lol.
  15. I’m on Windows 11 and never had issues. Two updates thus far, zero problems.
  16. Pretty sad when a FREE a320 Fly-By-Wire (FBW) blows CS payware away. I’m addicted to the FBW. It’s all I fly now. CS will be out of business soon if they keep this up.
  17. . Look for FBW liveries. Those labeled “Asobo” or “NEO” are for the default.
  18. I think the fbw is the best free addon to date! It’s all I fly now. Such a learning curve though! I went from unable to keep power on (lol) to now doing full flights. Definitely is a different animal than the Boeing, starting with the auto pilot!
  19. Same. I actually started getting a tad bored with FSX; the dull repetitive scenery wasn't doing it for me anymore. With this, each new place I fly to is like opening another Christmas gift...
  20. I forgot to add, the defaults leave a lot to be desired. That’s why I got the free flybywire a320.
  21. I respectfully disagree. I had FSX with photoreal scenery and thought that was the bomb. And it was, albeit only summertime textures were available and everything was flat. (Imagine flying into Denver in a snowstorm and only seeing lush green trees) I shied away from MSFS for a bit but once I tried the $1 game pass deal, I got hooked. Flew over my place of work and saw several coworkers’ cars that I recognized in the parking lot.. Flew over my house and there was my truck in the driveway. Flew around Denver again in a snowstorm and could see snow on roofs. No, the jetliners that are able to fly like the Blue Angels isn’t realistic at all, but honestly, I didn’t buy this to get a real world license. I’m happy with it. So much so, I don’t even miss FSX anymore. Good day to you sir.
  22. My first flight sim was Flight Unlimited III. I saw more of Seattle than I wish to. It’s the only scenery they had lol.
