FS2004 Flight Plan Through The Grand Canyon. If you want some spectacular views and fun flying try out this flight plan. There are over 800 waypoints used that take you through most of the canyon. Two flights included. One going eastbound and the other going westbound. You will be flying in the default Cessna 172 with the autopilot connected. Just sit back and watch the scenery go by. Don't get too relaxed because there are a couple of turns that you will have to take control of the aircraft. The flight plan was figured using the Carenado Cherokee 180 and each leg is approximately 1 1/2 hours. Some of the legs out west are slightly longer due to the lack of airports! The flight is designed for low level flight and enjoyment of the scenery. Be aware of the elevations in the middle portions of the flight. The Word document gives you a general overview of the flight and some helpful airport information. FS2004 Von Humboldts Latin America Expedition. Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich Alexander Freiherr von Humboldt (September 14, 1769 to May 6, 1859) was a German naturalist and explorer. Between 1799 and 1804, Humboldt traveled extensively in Latin America, exploring and describing it for the first time in a manner generally considered to be a modern scientific point of view. On June 5, 1949 (150 years after Von Humboldt's departure) our journey begins in La Coruna, Spain, in Lufthansa's Dornier Do-26 flying boat to follow this example.
