There are multiple types of pausing in MSFS, with the default being "Active Pause". This basically just holds your plane in the exact position it's in when you hit the key, but the engines and everything around you keep running. It's good for making a quick change in the cockpit you wouldn't have time for if the plane keeps flying. Read the guide below for how to get back the more traditional style pause.

How old is the computer? In addition to cleaning out the dust, the thermal paste on the CPU may have dried out and isn't very effective any more, if the system is old enough.

Forcing people to give info is generally a good idea, but harder to implement than you might think.
My comparison is eBay. In another life, I'm an eBay Power Seller, with thousands of sales on that site. So I'm pretty experienced with their forms. But yesterday the form for entering an item for auction stumped me. It would not let me proceed until I entered a UPC for the item...even though it was an antique from before the time that UPC codes existed. I tried things like "none", a number on the product that wasn't a UPC, etc. but nothing worked. Asking around, I found the magic word was "N/A"; entered that and was allowed to continue. Even companies with the resources of eBay create lousy forms.
It sounds like the biggest failing with the eBay form you ran into was that they forgot to put a simple note next to the field saying to enter "N/A" if the code was unknown. Some half way decent user testing should have found that (I'm guessing whoever developed their form was under pressure to get it into production and testing suffered).
So while it may not be easy, with some thought put into what is actually required, and how to present it, it isn't exactly difficult either. For uploads here, minimum required fields shouldn't be that hard to do. The sim and add-on category would be standardized lists, a flag to denote a complete aircraft for aircraft related uploads and a description of the file, and maybe one or two more. Additional fields could be provided and the uploader encouraged to use them, but the minimum should at least get the file into the right place and provide for basic searches.

I think personal info should be optional.
If someone wants to contact me concerning an upload, I exist here at FlightSim.
I agree personal info should be optional. On the other hand, it is nice to have some way to contact the developer and, as Nels says, not all participate in the forums. These days there are anonymous email services that one could use to avoid giving out your personal email address that would work.

Required information at upload solves most issues.
In my experience working with and developing software over the years, you need to make key pieces of data required on entry if you want users to enter it. Leaving it open leads to things being left out, or entered inconsistently.

Unfortunately, with the new forum and file library software, there is no easy way to tell which are complete aircraft unless the developer has explicitly stated so in the description. Not sure about why liveries are in the wrong section, but it could be due to the migration to the new software and some files ended up in the wrong place, alongside the developer who uploaded it flagging it incorrectly. You could leave some feedback in the New Forum Software section with your experience.
As far as MSFS add-ons, the main community repository has largely coalesced around FlightSim.to (not related to FlightSim.com).

As Nels suggests, this is probably due to Edge itself. Give the guide below a read, and see if it fixes your problem.

Is There Any Hope of Getting this for FSX ?
Think there's a few T-37s around for FSX. Here's one from the file library here. Might get more (better?) answers in the FSX forum.

Try going to the Microsoft Store app after you reinstall Windows, make sure the Store app itself is updated and check your library. Aerosoft indicates it does include an MS Store key, which if tied to your account, should allow you to reinstall through the store. You will still need to have disc 1 in the drive while flying though.
Looks like reinstalling through the MS Store worked for @Miahflyer.

As noted above, we don't know what the system requirements are for MSFS 2024 yet and, even more importantly, how the sim runs on those specs. On the other hand, I doubt the requirements are going to be lower than those for MSFS 2020, so you could start there for an idea. Looking at the specs you posted, your CPU is at the lower end.

If they're being inclusive they need to include KLOU. It is way old and was one of the airports Charles Lindbergh flew in and out of.
Perhaps it will be added to the US East Coast package I linked to above. The developer looks to be adding more airports.

When it comes to MSFS, many add-ons are shared through the Flightsim.to site, not the more traditional file libraries here or at Avsim.

amazing that fs2004 has more than all listed, wonder if fsx has more though, if it doesnt theres more clame to fame...fs2004 forever!!
Phil Taylor, the ACES project lead for FSX, wrote a blog about how well FSX sold. While it does indicate FSX sold better than FS9, I think the more relevant point is that, when looking at the numbers Skywatcher posted as well, the MSFS series has long been popular.

Unfortunately, some MBA elsewhere in Microsoft spoiled Mr. Taylor's conclusion.

Moffet Hanger 1 in MSFS....
Yeah, think you need to go for an add-on to get a proper model of the hangar.

That video was apparently done in FS2020. Where did the period airfields come from?
As FrankPilot notes, Flightsim.to has scenery files related to this. Plugging "Hump" into the search brings back a few options.

Perhaps they will release a complete package when all of the airports are done?
-
And here are some US airports from 1935 as well.

Came across this project today that's creating aircraft and scenery for MSFS from 1935. Still a work in progress, but looks interesting for those looking to recreate a previous era of flying in MSFS.

Another interview with Jorgen and Seb about MSFS2024. They touch on the number of MSFS2020 users, 12 million, as well as more about their plans for the new sim.

That airport screen shot is is Barrow Alaska PABR, way up north. I am aware that of course there are airport buildings being made for MSFS and posted here, but it will take a bit of time to catch up with FS9.
When it comes to modern airports, I'm not sure it will take that much time for MSFS to catch up. You need to head over to Flightsim.to, however, as that is where the MSFS add-on community has largely coalesced. At the moment there are over 6,500 airports for download there, including Barrow, Alaska. Overall, more than 50,000 MSFS add-ons have been uploaded to the site.
On the other hand, I doubt any other sim will catch FS2004 for historical airports and scenery in the Golden Wings vein.

Interesting. I didn't have to register to read the article, and it works fine for me in Firefox and Edge. Could try opening it in a private window, or using a different browser.

Which page are you referring to? I'm not seeing any chevrons over the article I linked to.

Microsoft has provided a little more detail about the sim at the FSExpo, talking about the new simulation activities, updates to the core flight sim, scenery and addition of requested features like seasons, aurora borealis and more accurate live air traffic.

Microsoft has released the Ford 4-AT Trimotor, and it's free until June 30th at midnight PDT.

How do you keep FSX interesting?

FSX comes with lessons built-in. Go to the Learning Center, and then Lessons. Definitely don't need to be afraid of flying in the sim, at worst you just have to restart the flight.
