  1. If you have read the posts from the start then you should know that from the beginning I was talking about converting the FS9 buildings I had made for use in MSFS. It would just be a case of siting the modified buildings in the right spot on the existing MSFS apron spaces. The buildings in MSFS for Rockcliffe are pretty much the right shape, and the museum buildings look ok unless you go there regularly and know exactly what they look like. Not bad really. Same with the hangar, but the quonset is very good. The clubhouse, though, does not look real at all.
  2. As I wrote earlier, flying to a place is quite real with MSFS, but once you get there then...... real buildings? Show me a screenshot of Rockcliffe Flying Club?
  3. I tried if for a while on a borrowed computer. The view from the air at altitudes above 2,000 feet are very good, and are close to the real thing. But, flying for real is still better (of course!) and is how I got the info to make the airfields for FS9 in the first place. FS9 for me was remembering in the winter that airfield I saw for the first time when flying down the Mackenzie River in July, and MSFS cannot do that.
  4. Given that I knew I was not going to do it, and that I would not want MSFS in it's current state, I wondered if someone else might do it for me. And how much would I be willing to pay? $C200 for them all? $C300? Given how many hours of work it would need (maybe an average 5 hours each, with some having only 3 or 4 buildings for conversion and others much larger with 20 or 25 buildings) it it was obvious that to persuade someone to do it there would need to be more interest than just me.
  5. I am not going to do the work myself as I currently have no intention of getting MSFS. MSFS is far better from 5,000 feet than either of the previous versions, FS9 and FSX, so Ultimate Terrain is not needed. But I get that when I go fly for real. And to make 500 airfields again....... If I find someone, or a company, that will do it (and presumably sell the result) then I will give them all the buildings I made.
  6. On 15 May 2015 my version of Nelson CZNL for FS9 was posted on flightsim and I agree with you, it is an interesting area to fly in for real.
  7. I have made around 500 airports and airfields in Canada and Alaska for FS9. Is there interest in having the same buildings that were included in those airports modified and posted for the MSFS airports? In FS9 they were models of the actual buildings instead of guesses. In MSFS they would bring the same real life situation.
  8. I see Wizz Air close overhead as I sit in the pub garden in Cyprus drinking a pint of John Smith (English bitter, for those of you unaware) and it really is the most unattractive colour scheme. Makes me wonder who in the airline approved it. This is not in any way a criticism of Joel's work.
  9. Another episode posted today on YouTube, the second part of day 3. Flight to Grande Prairie in Alberta, which is one of my scenery posts on here.
  10. There is on YouTube now the first few of a series of videos made by Angle of Attack of their trip from Homer Alaska to Oshkosh. Well worth watching and so far featuring places I have made for FS9. This is probably the wrong place to write this but......
  11. If my Alaska coastal postings that I made for FS9 can be useful for you just let me know. email is included in my postings but get it from a recent posting as the old one won't work. Roger Wensley
  12. Ah, just a thought, I changed my email address so get it from the recent posts.
  13. If my Alaska coastal scenery postings for FS9 can be of any help just let me know. Roger Wensley (email address is included in my postings)
  14. I should also have said that this version is for around 2007 and the runway is 11-29. Ah well. And thanks Andreas.
  15. Well I finally got around to trying the WD40 magic trick on my Saitek joystick, and it worked! Good idea, and much better than taking it apart or buying a new one.
  16. One little squirt per button? Or more? I have a similar problem with buttons not working properly.
  17. As I had to rebuild my hard drive set-up on a new laptop recently I expected that a new scenery making and posting would not go perfectly, and it did not. One person out of 68 down-loaders has told me that there are missing textures and another complication. There will be a post correcting this and providing the missing items.
  18. Having looked at all that my conclusion is that they have stopped showing airports!?! And that just after I had to replace my old laptop with a new one and I no longer have all my airports marked. Drat.
  19. Has google earth stopped showing airfield locations with the little white planes that give the name when you move the cursor on top of them?
  20. Aha! Is it possible that you could email it to me? How big is it when zipped?
  21. I have, or had before my laptop collapsed, SceneryGenX by Tom Hiscox installed. I now have a new laptop and have copied over the previous installation, but it does not work. Does anyone have the original download saved? Tom?
