    My laptop died and I no longer have the downloaded version of the V3.0 programme to install it on my new one. Abacus appears to have stopped functioning too. Does anyone have an idea on how to get around this?

    Anyone aware of where and how the Abacus FSDS V3.5 scenery object making programme hides/uses the "registration key" that it is now telling me I need for it to work on my new laptop?

    Tom, I tried that and it seems to be starting, but then doesn't quite get there. I suspect that the i3 7th Gen on this new laptop is too modern to deal with such an old programme. I get messages to that effect about other items.

    Biggles, this is about a scenery making programme, not about scenery as such.

    Tom, This is a new laptop with everything copied over from the hard drive of the imploded old one. FS9 still works, though there are some minor faults to be cleaned up, and almost everything else is ok. It could be that the much newer 7th generation chip is not compatible with GenX.

    Does anyone have any idea about getting GenX to start working again once it has stopped? After years it has just.... stopped?

    That idea that it is caused by some land class dropped into the airport folder that already included some other land class files sounds to me the likely cause. They "start arguing with each other" and eat up memory.

    I do not want to delete the ai planes because they are in front of me. I just want to be able to see ALL the ai functioning as it should. I will try to check if it has been in the forum before.

    AI planes that taxi for take off, and then have to wait as other planes are landing, stand still in a queue for 5 minutes. They then disappear if there is no further movement. Is it possible to increase this waiting time?

    I read your comment, but I do not know what you mean by it. "FS9 was loading some bgls"? You mean it did not load them? And which ones? Email me and send a screenshot so I get what you mean.

    Try making scenery and you will find that FS9 has a load of dirty tricks ready.

    Does runway 32 have ILS? I have noticed at another airfield that even if the wind is 25 knots from the south ALL of the AI uses runway 27 as that has ILS. Only when the wind reaches 32 knots does the AI switch to runway 18.

    Delete the beaches? This applies to the wave effect along the shore, which are generated by the beach textures. So if you remove the beaches using SBuilder.... I don't think there is any other way to do it. If you are referring to some other wave effect then this is not the answer you need.

    On mine too. The terminal doesn't light up. Or the apron flood lights. Thanks for that.

    Anyone using the long-ago-posted scenery for CYGR made by Pierre Gallant? I was looking at it with a view to making some corrections to the ground markings and found that the night textures of the buildings do not appear to work. Anyone with input on this? Pierre no longer responds to email.

    I don't know how, but when I looked at the Carenado website it appeared to have no FS9 versions. I now find that it has the C182RG and the C210RG.

    Or the Carenado C210? As far as I can see they are selling genuine engine sounds for the C210 but not the C210 itself?!?

    Are there still in existence, somewhere, C172RG and C182RG planes and textures?
