  1. Scheduled for 4pm here in the UK. As my PC runs 24/7, I remember from past experience that I need to reboot to make the update appear.
  2. Excellent Keith. You did a very nice Weston Super Mare pier for me which I love and could never imagine that anyone would ever bother with Clevedon even though it is a lovely old pier which has been beautifully restored. I must say that your model looked fantastic when I had a fly over and around it a few times this evening. I can confirm that both are very realistic as I visit Weston and Clevedon very regularly. The next one down the coast is Burnham on Sea, which is another nice pier if you are looking at covering the area.
  3. Very happy with my RTX3070 using msfs in 1080, but if I want to go down the VR route or upgrade to 4k, I think I will need an RTX3080.
  4. 175 for me, but I probably have another 25 that were not logged whilst in developer mode. Mostly on 152s and 172s and mostly VFR hand flown. A little use of autopilot in the 172. Had a go with the Caravan and the A320. I could fly the jets OK in FSX but have to learn a little more to do it properly in MSFS. IAN
  5. Interesting thread. I always thought that a big community folder would slow down loading times, but it seems I may have been wrong. I will do some experimentation. It would be nice if the sim could read a folder or two deep in the community folder really.
  6. What sort of performance loss would you expect from a 3 monitor system using the same graphics card? I have an RTX3070.
  7. For some reason, I have to press "L" twice to turn the cockpit lights on at night. I guess 1 press probably turns on some other lights.
  8. Just got my airbus stick last week and it runs fine for me out of the box. If I was being finicky I would say that the rudder is a little sensitive, but I'm not really finding it a problem. I didn't like the button assignments though, so I change them more to my liking.
  9. Ah well, worth a try I suppose. Thanks for investigating and I look forward to seeing morre of your creations in the near future. Ive been holding off using addons linker but I'm getting to the point that I'm going to have to bite the bullet I think.
  10. Not sure if I've asked you this before, but I have downloaded all of your piers and a file for each one clutters my (already cluttered) community folder a bit. Is it possible to combine them all into one "UK Piers" scenery for example? I recall that it was fairly easy to do in FSX, but not sure if that is the case with MSFS. Thanks IAN
  11. Try this out: https://www.flightsim.to/file/9529/global-ai-ship-traffic-msfs-v1
  12. I was under the impression that World Update 3 had messed up the caching anyway. I've had my rolking and user caches turned off ever since I downloaded it.
  13. I would post a picture of my Tudor style detatched house, but unfortunately MSFS has turned it into a plain brick terraced property and the bungalow I previously lived in has now become a 3 story block of flats í ½í¸€ A house I lived in Southampton was accurate until World Update 3 removed Southampton completely.
  14. I never used flaps for takeoff in the 152 or 172 in the real world unless it was from a short field. Not bothered by the flaps being set in MSFS as I normally start from a gate or ramp anyway. If you go into developer mode, you can switch aircraft at any time. Once done, turn developer mode back off.
  15. Not sure if the DRM lets you move the community folder off of the drive MSFS is installed on, but I think it can be moved to the root and renamed.
  16. Yeah, TBH I'm thinking of not bothering with a manual cache if I have to keep deleting and rebuilding it every time MS update the sim. Might just keep a cache of my local area though.
  17. First update is a 1.04 gb download, then the main download is 23.64 gb. Once you have done that, you need to go to the marketplace and download the UK world update which is another 4.93 gb. A lot of people will forget the last bit and be asking why they UK looks the same as it did before :)
  18. From what I remember from messing avout with FSX, it wasn't too difficult to remove or add things to a panel. I think there was a program called Panel Maker' to make it easier. Hopefully in time, we will get a program like this to simply drag and drop the Garmin out of the 172 and put the 152 radio stack in its place. I would also like to add a DME to the 152 panel. Similarly, I'm hoping to see a scenery object placer too as again there were several for FSX.
  19. I've flown nearly 100 hours in msfs and spent hours on sensitivity settings for my Attack3 stick. I've got it to work to a point, but even at -99% sensitivity, the elevator is way to twitchy to land properly and ailerons move from 50% to 100% deflection with half a millimetre of movement.
  20. Some people accidentally fit their fans backwards and you really don't want to be sucking when you should be blowing. If you vape or smoke, blow some smoke into your rig and check the flow or find a smoker or vaper to do it for you.
  21. East Anglia and South East England is white and it's still snowing in the real world, but in MSFS real time and real weather, there was no snow to be seen during my flight from Norwich to London City this morning. It was pretty windy and bumpy though and I had to stay below 1500 feet to ensure I did not ice up.
  22. I started object placing in FSX with RWY12 and then got into Tileproxy, which then got me into FSEarthtiles and downloading Bing images to make photoscenery. I was even able to make my own mesh eventually. My main problem became scenery files too big for me to upload and share though. It's surprising how starting with something simple can lead you into bigger and more complicated things. I'm looking forward to being able to populate small airfields and gliding sites in MSFS and learning how to create objects from google data. I would also like to recreate a few of my local towns and villages once I have learned this google earth to msfs scenery malarkey. Hope you get to give it a go - It can be a veey rewarding pastime.
