  1. Thank you but I have already bought That first one I for sure will take a look at it though. I am not opposed to having two of each. Take a look at my thoughts that I am about to post.
  2. Perhaps, For now I have to stick with fixed wing props. If I ever get bored, I could head in that direction. THANKS
  3. Well, I did it. I downloaded 6 of the 7 free updates with 0 problems. The 7th update was an airliner called A32NV. I have 0 interest in airliners. I am too old to learn all of the stuff needed to operate such a beast. I have more than I can handle with the little boys. My beloved Baron 58 and the DA 62 are my love for over 90 percent of my flights. That is about to change a little bit because there is a lot to look at with all the candy that these updates offer. I need a slower aircraft to cruise around these big city's in. I did a test flight around D C with a Piper Cub but it was till pretty fast. In FS10 there was an ultralight that I cruised around with. I flew real slow and low in the Grand Canyon. I landed on that big rock down under. I landed on 5 or 6 aircraft carriers around the globe. They are great for landing just about any place you want. There is one in the Marketplace that I have been looking at for $10. The only update that I checked out so far is the North America update. It should be a fun day tomorrow. VFRguy
  4. On this lovely day I climbed into my SHOCK ULTRA and headed north. I flew over to visit MOUNT RUSHMORE. I could never find it before this update. It sure is a handsome site. I spent over 20 minutes looking at it from different view points. Next I flew over to visit Chief Crazy Horse. It will be a pretty cool place when they are finished working on it. They have a lot of work to do. I then went over to take a look at THE DEVILS TOWER. It's that place where they made that cool movie. You know,,,,that movie JohnJohn stared in. I flew around the tower several times making my plan. I then turned on my “SUPER MAN“ option and put my plan in motion. The tower has a pretty good slope at the top so I made my approach to the low side of the slope. I made my approached with full flaps and stall speed. When I got close to the edge the plane stalled out. On my next try I came in a little higher and added a tad bit more power. The wheels touched down as I flew past the edge. After 3 or 4 bounces the plane came to a stop. I made it. I just landed on the top of THE DEVILS TOWER. I was the first person the world and in the history of flying, to land on THE DEVILS TOWER. A feat that will never be repeated. Their I was, on top of THE DEVILS TOWER alone with my plane. Never mind the fact that when the plane stopped, we were upside down. After a minute or so I zoomed in to the pilot seat and saw movement. I was alive. VFRguy
  5. Can any one out there see the HOLLYWOOD sign near Bob Hope airport? If so, tell me how you can see it.
  6. I got tired of seeing the red shirted me so I deleted that picture (I thought) and added a new one of me inside the cockpit of a AT6 Texan. I had the honor of flying it back in 1999. The new picture now shows up when you look at my profile and other places but not when you look at my post. HONOR??? I guess so. $500 an hour. My wife arranged that for my birthday. 3 years later she threw me out of the house. I have been free ever since. VFRguy

  8. Funny you should ask. I was snooping around the Market place looking at all the free stuff when I noticed that it was starting to download something. It was the update for France. Rather than stop the download, I let it complete. I did not intend to download it but that is the one I would have wanted. All is well. VFRguy
  9. Old George can sleep well tonight. I just now installed the World II update without a hitch. The very first thing that I did after it installed was to fly into Washington DC from Andrews AFB. I headed straight to the Washington Monument to check it out. It looked great. I flew around a little and saw many great new things. There is a lot to see with this new update. It will take some time and that is fine. I want to thank all of you who suffered through my rantings. I take back every thing I said that was wrong, untrue, annoying and in bad taste, It's a new World and I am excited. VFRguy
  10. This is going to be great. I am going to have to take back so many things that I have said when I should have kept my mouth shut until I have all the facts. I have learned a good lesson today. VFRguy
  11. Holly Smokes I'm downloading World update II now Easy as pie (so far)
  12. Oh yeah I forgot all about that place. I recall browsing through it once and then I just forgot all about it. I thank you very much for putting me on the right track. I don't know why I was fixated on the Microsoft store. Thanks again
  13. I'm with you stickman. So are a lot of other people, I suppose. Sorry about the double Post thing. I pushed the wrong button.
  14. Well once again I showed my intelligence or lack of. I was looking for that World update and that MSFS menu thing and I found nothing. I assumed it was in the Microsoft Store and MSFS was some where inside there. If it was there it was playing hide and go seek with me. I will be a good boy and try to stay out of trouble if someone would take pity on me. VFRguy

  16. OK OK I take it all back. I will look into that update stuff despite the dire warning that Plainsman gave me. He is a nice man and very smart. I respect him and his advice very much. So much so, I am thinking about calling him Stickman.
  17. I was just poking fun at the at the jerk that put a tall ugly apartment building where the the Washington monument should be. It is hard for me to believe that the big wigs let him get away with that (I assume he was a him, a pretty girl would find something more pleasing for good old George). I assume that you smart guys have found a work around visual and don't have to look at it. Us dorks have to look at things right out box. No matter how much you tweak your fancy computers, the ugly building is still there, you just don't see it. It shows disrespect for George Washington and the big wigs let him get away with it. I would fire him. How hard is it to build a monument? Look at all the pretty stuff that is already in your computer. VFRguy
  18. .Question: What is the first thing a person looks for when he fly's into Washington DC? . . . .Answer: A tall skinny, ugly apartment building.
  19. I hear you loud and clear. Why do you think I held off adding stuff to my FS? I waited to hear from guys like you. I have been down that dusty road before and I don't want to repeat that again. You are wrong about one thing... I can do what I am told. If I go a stray I can rely you to set me straight. I guess I will not get that disrespectful Washington Monument fixed.
  20. THE MYSTERY OF THE COMMUNITY FOLDER Every since day one when I fell under the spell of FS 2020 I realized that if I ever want to advance my knowledge of this flight simulator that life begins with the understanding of the COMMUNITY folder. The mystery started on day one when I was doing an investigation on the different ways get better performance by reinstalling the program to different locations instead of the default ones. It said something like moving all of your stuff to the COMMUNITY folder and having the other stuff at different fuzzy locations. I decided against all that since I did not understand every thing it was saying. I will let the computer do what it wants. So the computer installed very thing and it was up and running and I was a happy camper. Just like every one else I started thinking about making it better by adding on. When I was researching the ins and outs of adding on the very first thing that came up was that COMMUNITY folder and I started to look for it. I looked and looked and figured that it must be over at Oak island someplace. Being frustrated is common place for me in this computer world so I decided to give up for now and get back to flying. I still had this adding on bug in my head and I found myself at flightsim.com. This David fella told me to look at C:\Users\CatsRule\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community Looks like the programmers were trying to drill down to the center of the Earth. I fired up the File Explorer and found only “C:\Users\” and it stopped there. The only thing below that was 3 folders, “15807”, “Default”, and “Public” I must have the computer from hell. During all this time I came up with a bad file or some thing that killed my computer and I called upon Microsoft to fix it. They assigned an angel from God to me and he had to do a whole bunch of stuff and he fixed every thing. I watched him work and it was amazing. While he was working I noticed he added a couple of folders ( C:\Flight Simulator\. Under Simulator was two folders called Community and Official. Community was empty and under Official was another folder called “OneStore”. Inside OneStore I found all of my airplanes and a bunch of other stuff. I figure that he just made My life easier. Could one of you guys that know what you are doing tell me how I can use this new location to add new stuff to my simulator like the Washington scenery that my friend JohnJohn gave me, airplanes and other stuff. I think I gave you enough info and if you do this for me I will remember your kindness forever. VFRguy
