  1. Thanks for reminding me about the fact that Asobo is who I should be thanking for the Hotfix that fixed my problem. I keep forgetting about that. It must be their weird name. I will remember them after today. btw I just finished a 200 mile trip around Oklahoma without any problems. so far so good.
  2. Four days of living in FLIGHT SIMULATOR HELL. I have done all of the things that I can think of in trying to solve this problem with MSFS. Within five minutes from take off the sim would freeze for a moment and then disappear. I rightfully thought to myself “here we go again”. I kept one eye on FlightSim.com while I started to see if I could fix it myself. People were starting to post problems and several suggestions followed. I checked out a couple of things and tried to comprehend what others were saying. After a day with no success it was very late and I decided to do a complete reinstall. That will take six hours so I started the operation and I went to sleep. After the reinstall, the problem was still there. I called the Microsoft support line. I explained the problem to the Tec. and he connected to my computer. He wanted to go on a test flight to see the problem first hand. After the flight he moved around inside the program to several places did and a couple of things. He then said that he might have problem corrected but first he wanted me to take him for another test flight. The problem was still there. He then said that there was nothing else he could for me. He gave me a case number and refereed me to this Zendisk thing and that proved to be more of the same. My ear was getting sore. Back at FlightSim.com more reports were coming in. With my skill level being what it is, I figured if tried some of the suggestions offered I would go deeper into trouble. That’s it, I’m done. I’m tired of MSFS. I want to go back to FS X. I never encountered stuff like this with FS X. Walmart has a new FS X for $129. (I wonder how that happens) I was about to “add to cart” when a little voice inside told me to slow down. Microsoft would not dare let something like this slide. Wait a day or two and see what happens. That was yesterday. This morning I was looking at FlightSim.com and decided to try yet another suggestion that pointed to the options. I fired up the FS but it told me to install a required update before I could fly. I did what it said, then fired up FS. I started with my Beloved Baron, then the Bonanza and then the DA62 and enjoyed 1.5 hours of error free flights. I hope that I have not spoke to soon. VFRguy
  3. After several crashes I uninstalled MSFS and reinstalled it. The problem did not go away. I figure that the problem must have something to do with some of the stuff that is left behind during the uninstall. Also the update offered a new G1000 and it wiped out a bunch of panel stuff from different planes and I don’t think that the reinstall restored that stuff
  4. And I get this message after reboot. C:ProgramFiles\WindowsAppsMicrosoft.549981C3F5F10_3.2106.14307.0_x64__8wekyb3d8... C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.549981C3F5F10_3.2106.14307.0_x64__...\Win32Bridge.Server.exe The parameter is incorrect. I reply OK and it pops up again for a second time I reply OK and it goes away.
  5. I finished installing the update an hour ago and now I have the same problem.
  6. Sounds good. I will give it a shot later today. Thanks.
  7. Now that I have added one item to my community folder should I start to worry about updates? It seems that every time that a new update comes along the list of people with problems starts to grow. The community folder is at the center of a few of those problems. MSFS has plenty of things fore me to figure out before I start to mess with the community folder. Now I can’t avoid the folder any longer. I felt the “add on” itch coming. I am not sure I understand what the fuss is all about but I know that some day I will have to do something about it. I just don’t know what that something is. VFRguy
  8. I just spent the last 2 hours flying around Texas in my “NEW” DA62. I visited many airports and made lots of landings. The flights were all smooth and very comfortable to fly. All the landings were very smooth and error free. That DA62X Improvement Mod, without a doubt, put the word fun back in my flying vocabulary. All 3 of my planes are now ready to go. I am a happy camper. Thanks to all who made that happen. VFRguy
  9. You got it Mr. Green Man. As always I welcome your valuable help. Also thanks to every one else who helped me on this and all of the other problems I had. For now. I’m calling the DA62 problem solved. The DA62X Improvement Mod did the trick. I made 15 touch and go’s with out a single complaint. The take off and level flights were as smooth as it gets. All the turns were the same. The approaches on Final were very smooth as well as the landings. I could not ask for a better airplane. I welcome my lovely DA62 home from Sick bay. VFRguy PS I still worry about the No green triangle thing.
  10. Thanks I still would like to know if one sensitivity setting is good for all planes. It seems a little odd that the sensitivity for a 747 would be good for a 172.
  11. While working on the problem with my DA 62 I found out that you don’t have to have Winzip to unzip a file. Windows has an unzipping program already and it is free. I did not know that. So I uninstalled the trial version of Winzip. The next time I have a need to unzip a file I will check it out.
  12. OK I have never added any thing to MSFS so I had to download a trial version of Winzip. I then downloaded the DA62X Improvement Mod. I located the community folder at C:\Users\glenr\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community The folder was empty. I assumed that was because I have never added anything to it. I did a drag and drop and placed DA62X into that folder. The instructions said something about looking for a green triangle in the game. I fired up the simulator and I never saw any triangle. I went for a test flight. The flight was uneventful and very smooth and the landing was likewise. I think that does not prove any thing yet. I worry about that green triangle. I knew the time would come when I would have to work with the community folder as well as figuring out how to do that Winzip thing. That time was today. I hope I did it right. I have been focused on that sensitivity thing and I never considered an alternate solution. I have been waiting for all this, I just didn’t think it would be at the expense of my lovely DA62. I would like to know what you think about all this and I thank you very much. VFRguy
  13. It took awhile to get my head around this sensitivity thing. I am satisfied with the sensitivity setting for my three planes. Sort of. If I understood the sensitivity graph profile a little better I probably would do some more tweaking. Leave well enough alone. My beloved Baron and my Bonanza fly good. My Diamond 62 fly's like it drank too much coffee. With those long wings it doesn’t like to land. I have to plan ahead far sooner than I like. I bounce a lot if I don’t pay strict attention. It is a really nice looking airplane and I like to fly it. It’s just a chore to fly. If I change anything in the sensitivity section, I mess things up for my two other planes. I make it sound like this is a bad problem. I just have a hard time explaining it. It just prevents me from flying it as much as I would like to do. I’m pondering making a second Joy stick configuration so I can have a second sensitivity setting. I am not sure I like that idea. I assume that it will work. All this makes me wonder what the people that fly the jets and big heavy planes do when they jump into their Cessna 172. VFRguy
  14. That's good to hear. The world would be in deep trouble if they took me seriously.
  15. I did a search on BING for call signs. You will not believe how much information there is on the subject. You could spend a year reading about it. From skimming through that stuff it seems that my call sign (VFRGUY 999) does not qualify as a valid call sign. I sort of figured that anyway. I am going to go outside the box and keep it.
  16. ALOHA That’s pretty cool. I have been flying around with “VFRGUY 999” all day. It’s starting to grow on me. At first I thought that I would not like it. Not now. ATC pronounces the letters V F R G U Y followed by NINER NINER NINER. I like the sound of that. Unless something better comes along I will stick with this. PS Fighter pilots have best Call Signs.
  17. That is a great looking Tiger. Interesting train of thought. With that in mind I should be able to come up with something I like.
  18. I ½ favor my old call sign “FLIGHT 999” Trying to find the right replacement for “FLIGHT” Some may think this is a wast of time to discuss this topic. I might agree but I prefer to think of it as just one more building block in creating a better flying condition in this wonderful building called MSFS. How about “VFRGUY 999”? I think not. PS I quickly fired up my Beloved Baron to test the call sign VFRGUY 999. The guy spelled out the letters instead of pronouncing it. Understandable. I don't know.
  19. I made a flight up the east coast of Italy today. There was lots of chatter all the way up the coast. Very little of it was for me. I just thought that it would be nice if I did not have to change call signs every time I changed planes. I guess that a universal call sign would do the trick. Something like "FLIGHT 999" I had that one before and it sounded great. I will go back to it. I will forget about having a call sign that fits the plane.
  20. My number one choice of planes is the Baron 58. I have two other planes that hold the number two slot. All other planes hold the number three slot. It is easy to not pay the proper attention to the communication from tower to plane. Then you are left wandering “Was he talking to me?” I wanted a call sign and flight number that would be easy to confirm that it was really me that they are talking to. They string their words so close together that you sometimes can’t understand. After considering several numbers I picked the number “999” Spoken NINER, NINER, NINER. That number is easy to pick out among the chatter. The call sign was easy, BARON. “Baron Niner Niner Niner you are not cleared to land, leave the runway.” I now have a lot less “Was he talking to me?” What if I am flying my Bonanza or my Diamond 62? I have only two options. I can leave the call sign alone and fly a lie. I can pull up the customization menu and change it. It would be nice to have a call sign, tail number and flight number assigned to each plane. THAT CAN’T BE DONE. There have been many times that I had a problem that can’t be solved (in my mind). Then some smart guy from FlightSim.com or someone else responds to show me the error of my ways. VFRguy
  21. I am sure that I fit into to your statement at some place. Never the less I must be careful. The Forum Cops are out to get me. They are every where. XXXguy
  22. Great Now I can get back to my KANSAS flight to Anywhere USA.
