  1. See also comments on freeware download b787ual.zip. This could be a great download, however, when flying at dusk, the aircraft becomes transparent. Must be some issues with the modelling and/or the textures? I gave up on both aircraft, as I could not readily identify the cause!

  2. Great freeware download, however, when flying at dusk hours the entire aircraft becomes transparent. Something not right in either the modelling and/or the texture itself. There was one other freeware download by the same developer and painter that I tried and it had the same issues and I will comment on that as well! I gave up on both!

  3. Great job Bob! I've tried many Boeing 777 downloads, some very large in size, only to find out they have many faults to deal with! Your offering, I downloaded it, decided to use my panel of choice and I went flying!

    Very enjoyable, and two nice looking paints!

    Thanks! Rick (Downwind66)

  4. This is about near to a perfect freeware download of the Skyhawk 172 that you will find. AF was "spot on" with many of the details he put into this offering! I was truly impressed with it, now, I see he came out with a Cessna 172 taildragger. I like the paint work on that as well, maybe Af will come out with a texture only "red/white" that could be used for this download?

    Thanks AF, great job!

  5. I have had the hardest time finding an Airbus A340-3XX that everything works. Found some nice downloads but the Auto Spoilers would not deploy. Found this aircraft this morning, and lo and behold, everything seems to work! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    I was getting very frustrated, as all my Airbus aircraft, spoilers worked just fine. Even the Airbus A340-600 worked properly. But, when trying to find an A340-3xx aircraft that worked, very difficult to find. Might just be a coincidence for me, but that's my take on this!

    If you're looking for a nice A340-3xx download, this might well be the one you'll like! I am very satisfied and my hat goes off to Project Open Sky and Richard Coombes for making such a nice freeware aircraft!

    Thanks - Rick

  6. Anybody having problem with the aircraft pulling to the left on takeoff, check the fuel cfg entries for the center tank. That -2 in field #2 (2180 gals worth) will throw the aircraft to the left. I tried to find another iFDG A/C to see if I could find the proper entry, but, they all seem to be the same. I pulled a fuel cfg section from another A320 aircraft I have, and now this one seems to be flying straight as can be! Now, it's another great flying iFDG download!

    Center1 = 0, -2, 0, 2180, 0

    LeftMain = -0.82, -6.16, -0.82, 1829.5, 0

    LeftAux = -4.93, -26.7, 0.82, 232, 0

    RightMain = -0.82, 6.16, -0.82, 1829.5, 0

  7. Well, as luck would have it, I found an old article of mine on this download, the same issue I was having with it years ago, my fix back then was to replace the Boeing callouts, small jet programming with the Large jet programming, and it worked back then and it did work here again for me! That helped me, but anyone out there that has a simple install without the Boeing callouts, you will get the TEN TEN TEN TEN issue, and I can't help you with that , other than lowering that static_cg_height down to 16, but when applying power, you will still have to hear it for 4 - 5 times, then it will go away! Other than that, I like the download, there are some issues with the landing lights not appearing out onto the runway from a cockpit view. You can see they work from an external view, though! That doesn't help the pilot? Still haven't figured that one out!

    Anyway, good luck with this one, nice download, but, does have issues!

  8. Well, I thought I had it. First time outl, all is quiet, as soon as I added power for takeoff, the "TEN TEN TEN TEN" began! I cut back the settings for the static_cg_height from the 18 to 16, now it sound out the TEN 4 times and then goes silent. I might be able to live with that, don't know if I can be that patient. Maybe you have some ideas Andreas????? I've exhausted all of mine!

  9. Okay, Andreas, get ready for an "ear full!" I love your freeware AMERICAN AIRLINES BOEING 767, however, here is what I encountered trying to find the download as a "keeper!" I downloaded, and then proceeded to set the aircraft up in FSX. When starting the aircraft, I got the annoying "TEN, TEN TEN, TEN" altitude callout warning that is part of a Boeing Callouts program that I use on many of my aircraft!! Now to figure out why! Yes, I could have easily silenced out // the "10" entry in the program, which I did and all worked fine! I like your download, wanted it to stay with me, BUT, I also wanted to keep my "10" altitude callout!

    I solved the problem and you might want to take a look at what I came up with! In all your Boeing 767 downloads, you are using a Contacts static_cg_height of 23.10!! 23.10?, sounded a little high to me, in that most other developers are using 13.50 for their entry! SO, I tried the 13.50 entry only to have the wheels drop below the surface of the runway and the aircraft wildly bouncing up and down, and the warning still blaring away!! OKAY, Day 2, bound and determined to whittle away at the 23.10 entry! I started at 18.00 and EUREKA! Silence in my cockpit, aircraft is not jumping and behaving like a wild Bronco! Problem solved, at least for me!

    In closing, to my fellow flight simmers, if you should have this problem, this is one way to solve it. This is a great freeware download, and the new livery for American Airlines is presented as it should! So many downloads out there are being presented as either silver or a very dark/dirty white. This download is the nicest white/red that one could expect!

    Thank you Andreas, nice job, just needs a little more attention!

  10. This download is a "textures only" download. When adding it to your Vought Corsair base folder, you may find when you go to open the 211 aircraft, it won't show properly. Go to the texture folder, open it, and you will see that the texture.cfg file is missing. Go to one of the other textures and copy/paste that file to the 211 texture folder and you will be "good to go!"

  11. Great download. Had another freeware download by another developer with this same livery. Livery was blurred in flight; it would come and go by toggling from exterior left view to right and back again. Very annoying and then I found this download on another site! I was surprised to find it here in this library!

    This is more than a repaint! This is the complete aircraft, FS 2004. I am running FSX, so I had to replace the sound and panel folders in order to make it work in FSX!

    Great download! Flies great, no issues at all!

    Thanks you Philip Foglar, great job!

  12. Great download, but, when going from a cockpit view to an external left view, the texture is blurry. I can toggle between exterior left view to exterior right view and when going back to exterior left view, the texture is clear again. It stays that way until you go back to a cockpit view and then to an exterior view!
  13. Nice download. It is a FS2004 freeware download and I am running FSX, so I had to delete the panel and sound from this download, and copy over a panel and sound from an FSX aircraft. Download tweeking didn't take all that much, fuel was okay, I reduced the PAX loading by 20%u0025 only to give the aircraft more UMPF on takeoff! It flies well, so I think it will be with me for awhile! AND, the nice thing is, everything works as it should!

    Rick :cool:

  14. Well, I had deleted this at one point, and re-downloaded, went thru the reduction in payload and the fuel was out of whack, which I also revised. Got it flying great, BUT, never could get the aircraft to power up like a 4 engine jet, it would get off the ground but it took a long time to get up to 155 KIAS, and it would fly!

    My biggest complaint that I could not solve, was the step down process in airspeed when approaching a destination airport. It would drop the airspeed, when selected all the way down to the 250 KIAS, when you tried dropping the airspeed down to the 235, 210 and below to ready your approach, the airspeed would not drop without dropping un-needed flaps to help it along. I gave up, I'll be satisfied with my PA A380 House livery, which was a monster getting it in shape, but it cooperated, and it has become a keeper since then!

    You can try this download, you might have better luck than me! It does fly nice, once the tweeks to payload and fuel have been made, I just couldn't solve the issues with the airspeed at descent to land!

    Rick

  15. Mohammed - Love the quality of your re-paints for the iFDG/CamSim aircraft. I looked very hard for a repaint for the new American Airlines livery, but no luck. My search continues! Kudos to your work, you do a great job and I am happy to have two of them sitting in my sim hangar!

    Thanks! Rick
