  1. Nice download, however, here is what I encountered:

    1) I would set up to take off, get clearance to takeoff, increased throttle, plane is not going anywhere. I looked and then realized the aircraft was sitting on the runway "cold!" Engines are not running! Got the engines started and down the runway I go only to have the aircraft run out of runway. This plane was not going airborne!

    2) I had an aircraft.cfg from another 747-400 that I started comparing to this download. It seems, someone was making changes to the configurations? There were many changes in the aircraft geometry and the autopilot sections. Maybe it was the developer, maybe he submitted his working copy when uploading? Anyway, taking a hard look at some of the items, at least the person was nice enough to indicate his/her original settings out to the right such as aircrafttolndg=1214.60 //214.60 It was very easy to see what changes had been made. I merely started reinserting the original values (which most if not all coincided with my other aircraft cfg.file) and when I had gone all the way thru the cfg file, making the necessary changes, the plane gladly lifted off the ground! I have no clue who or why these changes had been made, but they were definitely made which would not allow this aircraft to fly. Don't let my comments discourage you, once you make these changes, it's a very nice flying freeware download! If you do download this, copy the aircraft cfg.file and you will see what I am talking about. BUT, before you fly or try to fly, make sure you start the 4 engines!

    Any questions, concerns, PM me - Downwind66 - I will get back to you as soon as I see the notification!

    Thanks - Rick

  2. If you should have problems with nav lights green, red and white having squares around them, use the older FSX default files for nav lights and change the aircraft cfg as follows:

    fx_navgre (In the FSX effects folder as fx_navgre.fx)

    fx_navred (In the FSX effects folder as fx_navred.fx)

    fx_navwhi (In the FSX effects folder as fx_navwhi.fx)

    Worked for me. Something about that "3" in the suggest download files, my setup did not like!

  3. Paul - Great job on fixing the textures. Since day one, I always chose the Privately owned Baron because that was the best out of the litter before the fix. Now I have not only that one, but two others that are really a pleasure to fly. I especially like the white/red texture, which was the worst one before the fix, now I like it the best! Thanks!
  4. This is THE download! This aircraft runs like a "scalded dog!" Two things I did have to tweak:

    1) Developer only included 5330 gallons total for this aircraft. I bumped it up to 20,255 gallons and didn't affect the load and balance in the slightest, nor did it affect the "get up and go" it has on takeoff!

    2) Warning lights for hydraulic pressure on the instrument panel. Looked at cfg file and the only entry for it was:

    [hydraulic_system]

    normal_pressure=0.000000

    I made the entry to look like:

    [hydraulic_system]

    electric_pumps=0

    engine_map=1,1,0,0

    normal_pressure=3000.000000

    #### No more warning lights for hydraulic pressure!!! ####

    This is one nice download, and you won't believe the landings. Very easy to "grease this one in!" Engine sound takes some getting used to, but I'm starting to enjoy it, seeing how the engines make the aircraft perform!

  5. Okay, that was easy! Copied the 787-9 panel over to the new download and now I have a 100%u0025 operating Boeing aircraft! A small issue, but couldn't Camil for see that people (I'm sure I am not the only one) will not understand how that could happen? Other than the panel issue, this download has been one of the nicer downloads I have downloaded! Good job Camil!
  6. Good download! I lightened the payload a little, developer had 550 passengers at 210 lbs each. I reduced the payload to 363 passengers at 175 lbs each. Also, the alias'd B747_400 panel will not allow it to show up in the FSX menu. You will need to copy the entire panel from the default B747 over to the new download OR do a search for a better A380 panel. I found one by Pasquale Rinaldi (2011, not the 2008). Much better to look at and operate the download!

    I have tried other downloads for the A380, but the weight and balance on the fuel is so far out of whack, I gave up on most! At least the developer of this download got the fuel within balance!

  7. Developer needs to check the weight and balance on this upload. Some hundreds of thousands pounds out of balance with fuel. It was a nice download for me, but the plane doesn't want to get off the ground! it's no wonder if the fuel weight and balance is that far "out of whack!" I didn't know where to begin, so I deleted the download and have gone back to my original Qantas A380 download, at least it will get out the ground and get me from point A to point B. Not being that critical of the developer, because when you look at Airbus' specs for the A380 on fuel and the number of tanks this aircraft has, I don't know how anyone could get it to balance! Just a comment by me for the developers review!
