1. Nice download, but, I wouldn't go so far as lear45xr saying graphics looking like they were drawn with a crayon! I agree, graphics could be better. These aircraft deserve crisp clear graphics, as they are a popular aircraft in both real world and flight simming! Yes, I can live with what we get from the download, but graphics could definitely be improved! Flight comments, there are a couple worth mentioning. My aircraft would not slow down when flying with the autopilot engaged. Also, upon releasing the brakes for takeoff, aircraft wanted to pull to the left. Fortunately, I had another Kirk Olsson F16 download that I could do a side-by-side comparison of the aircraft.cfg files to see what was contributing to these issues. I found the following: 1) Flight tuning section differed, I revised those values, airspeed now settles in at the desired airspeed. 2) Weight and balance, I found one value that was listed as a positive value, I revised the entry to a negative and now the aircraft stays dead center on the runway! If you download this freeware aircraft and are having the same issues I had, please PM me on this site's forum and I will be more than glad to point you in the right direction. Same goes for you, Michael, if you should read this and want to know my findings, PM me, and I will get back to you! Rick 4/22/19
2. Very nice aircraft and associated liveries! Very nice choice of colors! Rick
3. Very nice flying aircraft. One thing I noticed, steerable tailwheel not working the way it should. In the aircraft.cfg file, contact points, point .1 is the tailwheel and points .0 and .3 are the main gear. Scroll over to where you see the 3 fields entered as 22.0 and change point .1 from 22.0 to 60.0, and then renumber both .0 and .3 to 0.0. You will see a big difference, a nice large aircraft easy to taxi! Enjoy! Rick
4. I have never flown with this airline, but I found this article! https://www.off-the-path.com/en/airline-review-ryanair/ Rick
5. Matt - You do nice work, those panels look great, and I like the set-up you have for your Man Cave Flight Simming enjoyment. Keep up the good work! Rick
6. Jan - You have a "bare metal'" 307. Mine is painted white which is okay! I do envy you having the American flag on the tail section, though! Rick
7. Andy is correct, the rudders and also the ailerons move in opposite direction from how they should! Other than that, it is a very nice flying download.
8. I have had this download for awhile now, and I still very much love to fly this beauty that Milton Shupe has afforded us. There are many additional texture out there now, that can complement the download even that much more! Try it, you will not regret it! - Rick
9. I was just a young kid and my Grandfather showed me how to polish his bare metal Cessna 180. That was my Grandfather, though! I'll be damned if I am going to be polishing a bare metal DC-3, and that you can take to the bank! Rick
10. Wow, Jan, that is a beauty! I love the polished aluminum. Really is nice, but what a bear to keep it that way! Rick
11. Jan - What a workhorse! Those DC-3's, C-47's continue to show their worth, even in today's standards! Thanks for sharing this one, I love the bare metal, with just a "hint" of paint! Rick
12. Very nice download! Flies well! Pic above is the VC cockpit. The 2d panel which I prefer, is more realistic and not a game-like appearance of the VC cockpit. JMHO!
13. Like Tim Wright says, "The older I get, the better I was!"
14. Very nice, Khalid! Nice presentation and a dialogue to go with it! Have you ever checked out HJG, Historical Jetliners Group? You would have some fun over there. You put together your own download, based on personal preferences! I have done several. Instructions can seem a little intimidating at first, but when you have done your first aircraft, you will be able to do the next ones in, 15-20 minutes, if that! Let me go find the link and I will edit a line in here for that! simviation.com/hjg/main.htm Rick
15. No Khalid, your aircraft was spot-on, it was looking at yours that told me I had not done things right on my side! Thanks for replying back! Rick
16. Khalid - I was looking at your pics of the DC-4, I asked myself, those pics look familiar, so I got my download out, took off and something didn't look right! The cockpit glass was dark, there were no props spinning, looked very dark inside the (4) cowlings AND then i looked at your pics and I knew then, I had done something wrong when I downloaded the aircraft several weeks ago. Dummy me, I failed to add the "shared folder" files to the military texture folder. I hadn't flown this big bird since downloading it. I was working hard trying to improve the panel (only 1 multi Tach and 1 multi MP for a 4 engine aircraft). Come on! Anyway, got my textures resolved and here are my pics: This definitely is a nice flying bird! Rick
17. Okay, the fix, and I will not take credit for it. I found this on another site, not a fix for radios, but another problem for previous versions. But neither here nor there, this works on my Pegasus panel, it should for you as well! In the Pegasus panel.cfg, do the following: 1) In [Window 00], deactive lines 57-59 by silencing them with // These are for the old Lear Com1, Nav1, and Nav2. I had already deactivated these, but still had the problem. For the final fix, move on to 2)!!! 2) In [VCockpit 01], deactive lines 25-27 by silencing them with // Although, I am not a fan of virtual cockpits, I didn't concern myself with having to deactive these files! Well, by not deactivating them, they certainly did have an effect on the 2d Pegasus panel. I did not think this would work, but when I went back in on the aircraft with the Pegasus panel, all was working!
18. Okay, finally came across the problem that mr zippy was talking about. What I did, is applied two panels to each download (I only kept the ptbuf and the fedex models). That way I could silence out // the panel I am not wanting to use and life goes on. That is fine if you are using the ikeb panel on either. I tried flying tonite, the ptbuf with the Pegasus panel and you can not set the radios in anyway. I even tried to delete that radio stack from this download and reload it from another aircraft, no such luck! These panels are very close in what they offer, so this is not a "deal killer!" I am going to play around with it some more to see if i can't get another radio stack to work! Other than this glitch it is a very nice download! - Rick
19. Missing many texture items. Fortunately, I had the 67296 Navy download, and it was easy to figure out what was missing. Other than that, very nice texture only download!
20. Blair - Couldn't help myself! "Ain't she Purdy?" And she flies as good as she looks! Here's the L1011 in the same livery! Rick
21. Terry - Thanks for the supportive comments about HJG. Blair, I found HJG when I wasn't really looking, well, almost not looking. Aharon, a senior member on here, submitted a post with a Northeast Yellow Bird, a DC-9-10, and this aircraft was so beautiful, I kept pushing Aharon on where he found this beauty! He didn't come right out and tell me then, but, later told me where I could get one of my own. HJG was the site. I went to their site, and at first glance it looked like it would be more effort than what I cared to put in to it! I moved on without taking it seriously. Then one day, I didn't have much to do with one of my retirement days, I went back, and was bound and determined to have that DC-9-10 yellow bird in my hangar. As I said, the instructions at a glance do seem a little intimidating, but once you start, you do one step at a time, and before you know it, you have a complete aircraft that YOU assembled to your liking! I finally did have my DC-9 in MY hangar! Thanks again Aharon, I remember the first time I set eyes on yours, I just had to have one for myself! Try HJG, you will not regret the move! Rick
22. Make the move when you have the time! Follow the instructions to the "T" on everything. Something that doesn't make sense, read the instructions again. It all comes down to a couple of downloads. You will have a base download that you will download, then, the next download, you will have to pick out what livery you want for your aircraft, that is the fun part! They have panels available for certain aircraft. I didn't use theirs, as I had a list of panels that I have modified and used for awhile and it was just as easy for me to use mine. It's very gratifying to be able to fly the aircraft that you pieced together! HJG offers payware quality for freeware offerings! How can you go wrong? And like Mark said above, they just added more updates recently and have more coming! Good luck, I have the L1011, several DC-9's, DC10, B727 and the MD90 that I put together and they are all very pleasant to look at and fly! Enjoy, if you get stumped you can always PM me or they have a forum site available with people willing to help! Like I said, build one, and the rest you want will be a "piece of cake!" Rick
23. Blair - Something else you might want to consider, HJG Historical Jetliners Group. You can create your own aircraft according to personal preferences, liveries, models etc. Their link is : http://simviation.com/hjg/main.htm Very good, quality freeware aircraft and the price is RIGHT! You will have fun in the process, just don't be intimidated by the process the first time. After you've done one, you will be able to put together other aircraft in minutes! Oh, and the L1011 and DC-10 are just a few they have. I have both of them from HJG!! Enjoy! Rick  E
24. Nice plane and well presented pics! I especially find interesting pic #21. Look like all passengers disembark to the tarmac and not thru a jetway! That works until weather becomes an issue! Thanks for sharing! Rick
25. Very nice download! I did notice that on takeoff roll, tail section at the tailwheel gets very bumpy until the tail wheel comes on the runway. Same on landing, again as soon as that tail wheel sets down, things get bumpy again. I don't know if this is an isolated download problem, as another member on this site has the same aircraft and he does not experience it with his! Oh, and smoke emitting from the tailwheel? Other than that, I really have enjoyed the download! Rick
