  1. Great shots, Bill! I'm hoping to get a snow flight in tonight.
  2. Thanks, David! The GA ramp didn't have a clear taxiway going to it, but we just put on the four-wheel drive and got on the ramp anyway. Thanks, James! This was actually my first flight to Mexico in MSFS, but I've flown in that area many times in FSX.
  3. Great shots, Bill! I know real world pilots may not like it, but I always enjoy having challenging weather in the sim.
  4. We're back in the Longitude for today's flight from Miami across the Gulf of Mexico to Cancun. Weather for the flight was about as good as it gets, so let's get going! Heading out to runway 26L for departure on this warm afternoon in Miami Rocketing into the sky over Miami The Longitude climbs so fast, we're already passing 18,000 feet over the Homestead area Nearing the top of our climb over the Florida Keys Leveling off at FL430 as we pass over Key West Cruising over the Gulf of Mexico with Cuba off our left wing. What's interesting about this flight is even though much of it is over a large body of water, there is almost no point where you're not able to see land The beautiful beaches of Mexico coming into view as we descend into Cancun We misjudged the top of descent, so we had to make a quick u-turn for about ten miles in order to lose some altitude We made it to the correct approach altitude just as we crossed the coastline Fully configured, nearing REF speed and ready to give these passengers a smooth landing into Cancun We had to do a little offroading in order to get it here, but we arrived on the GA ramp just in time to catch the sunset! That's all for now! I have a flight back to the US planned which I probably won't post, but for my next trip I may stretch the legs of the Longitude a bit and take it to Europe. Stay tuned!
  5. Thanks everyone! I bought it as a Black Friday deal. Still paid over 9 million for it, but they threw in a free t-shirt and hat so who could pass that up?
  6. Since I purchased MSFS a few months ago I haven't spent any time in the CJ4. Honestly, I've never been a big fan of the appearance of it, and I had no experience with the ProLine 21 avionics system so it was easy to stay away. Enter the Working Title CJ4 mod and it's ability to transform the CJ4 into the best GA aircraft in the sim, and well, it wasn't easy to stay away anymore. Thankfully the ProLine 21 was easy to learn with the included documentation, and now even the appearance is starting to grow on me a little! Today we're taking the "new airplane" thing to the extreme as we pick up a brand new CJ4 from the Textron Aviation factory in Wichita, Kansas and fly it to it's new home in Chester County, Pa. Let's go! Running through the checklists (they're actually included on the PFD with the mod) and getting ready to head out on our 1,000 mile journey The taxi time from the ramp to the active runway in Wichita was actually pretty long considering it's not a big airport Upon departure we went Northwest for a few miles towards the Wichita VOR Turning east and heading towards home Cruising at FL410 above the Missouri River and St. Louis The clouds have filled in as we pass over Indianapolis We were passing the Pennsylvania and Ohio boarder as the sun began to set A strong tailwind helped our groundspeed reach as high as 532 knots and shaved some time off the flight Descending into the bright lights of the Philadelphia suburbs On final for runway 29 in Chester County after a 2H26M flight That's all! I'm sure I'll be posting more of the CJ4 as this was one of my most satisfying flights in MSFS to date. Thanks for viewing!
  7. Fortunately I haven't experienced that much with MSFS. I use a flight dynamics mod for the Longitude that can be found on the Microsoft Flight Simulator forums that really helps with riding the plane of those annoying bugs.
  8. I've been on the west coast for a while with my American VA, but it was time to head back to my hub at PHL. Normally I keep my flights to around 2-3 hours, but I had the time to complete a longer one so I figured let's do the entire trip in one shot. It was an 8am departure out of San Diego and we arrived in Philly around 3:45pm. Here we go! Loading up on a typically nice morning in San Diego Firing up the engines and trying to figure out why the tug pushed us so far off the line Our departure took us southwest over the coast before turning east, so the passengers got one final view of San Diego Starting our turn to the east Continuing the climb as we fly over Mexico We picked up some ice on the climb out apparently, but we're comfortably cruising at FL330 heading northeast on our long journey home Several hours later we are descending into Philadelphia over Amish country. That is Lancaster airport under our left wing Passing the Walt Whitman Bridge and catching a view of Center City as we near the runway On short final for 27R "Folks, we'd like to welcome you to Philadelphia! We know you could have saved a ton of money by flying another airline, so thank you for choosing American." After 4:42 of flying we arrived at the gate on time Thanks for viewing!
  9. Thank you! The Longitude is my primary GA plane in MSFS at this point, but the CJ4 mod is making that look very tempting. I'm going to start testing it out tonight.
  10. Our last flight in the Longitude took us from Orlando Executive to Exuma International in the Bahamas, and today's flight will be a repositioning flight as we head over to St. Maarten to pick up passengers who are heading back to the United States. Let's go! Some dark clouds building as we finish prepping the aircraft for departure. Is this a sign of things to come? Back taxiing to runway 30 Leaving Exuma Intl behind Storm clouds continuing to build on the climb out Starting to get some flashes of lightening as we pass over Turks & Caicos, but it's still smooth up here at FL450 The storms got more intense as we went along, but we made it through The weather is beginning to clear up as we make our descent About to cross over the famous Maho Beach. Apparently the newest jet in the Cessna line wasn't enough to lure the people onto the beach to watch our arrival After a 1h43m flight we have arrived at the state of the art FBO here at Princess Juliana Airport Unfortunately our time in paradise will be short lived as our passengers are already pulling up to the aircraft. At least we could here the sound of the waves breaking from the ramp (for real, MSFS is crazy that way) That's it! Thanks for viewing!
  11. Thanks, David! Yeah, it was cool to see that level of detail.
  12. Agreed! I have Denver from FlightBeam and it’s awesome.
  13. Switching it up a bit from my Frontier flights. Today we're flying American Airlines flight 491 from Phoenix to San Diego. Weather was great in both places, so enjoy the pics! Not a bad view from the ramp here in Phoenix Taxiing down to runway 8 and getting a nice view of downtown Phoenix Climbing out off runway 8 Making a 180 and heading towards the west coast Cruising over the desert at FL280 on this short flight Our photographer should probably listen to that warning Flying along the Mexican border Check out those houses at the top of the mountain on the left of the aircraft. That's probably not a bad place to live! Incredible view of the ocean fog settling over the city. Unfortunately I received a low bandwidth error right at this point which has never happened before, but I lost some quality for a few seconds At the gate 15 minutes early. Pretty cool seeing the ocean fog hanging around the airport as well Thanks for viewing!
  14. Philly is my hometown airport so perhaps I’m biased, but great shots!
