Check if all traces of your previous FSX SE have been removed, that is all files, folders anywhere on yr computer. Delete all previous FSX entries (both 'boxed' and 'steam') in yr registry. Try to avoid C:\ProgramFiles(X86) when reinstalling, I created a 'FSX' folder in my 'SteamApps' folder myself and had my FSX SE install there. But first make sure that your PC is free of any previous FSX files, try reinstalling in 'Windows Safe mode' and disable any anti-virus before reinstalling. If it still won't run it could be a 'hardware' issue (lose contact somewhere)...

Just repeat the steps you took when you managed to include pictures in some of your previous posts..... If the 'water scenery' is default stock FSX, try replace the airport with some kind of add-on.

Very difficult unless you are able and prepared to divide the proces in basic steps. Allthough some steps require continious action even before reinstalling a new sim, f.i. I regurarly make a backup of my \FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery and Texture and my \FSX\Scenery\Global\Scenery and Texture folders. I also regurarly backup my complete: FSX\AddonScenery folder together with my Scenery.cfg file. But in my opinion there's simply no way to 'copy and paste' payware software like UTX GEX AS16 etc. There are lot of benefits in reinstalling FSX from the start. Most important you are able to re-evaluate your previous setup and have the oppertunity to do things better or in a different sequence then your old setup. I completely reinstall my FSX (boxed) about every 2 years. I keep a txt file of things I do differently from the previous setup. Most important, don't rush, with every step think where you can do better then the previous setup. A big black screen with a 'big'cursor in the middle looks to me like a graphical issue. What happens when you press ALT-Enter? Are your display drivers up to date? Do you have a seperate FSX section in your NVidia settings screen, try to reset it to 'default....' Is your FSX.CFG complete? Is your scenery.cfg present in C:\ProgramData\ \ \ FSX folder? These things can be pretty annoying. I bought UTX USA 8 years ago, it took me 6 month's to solve the 'Scenery.cfg not found'message. Turned out I had a double FSX (boxed and Steam) entry in the registry where only 1 was needed.

Your pics make real word a 'poor representation' of the Sim......

First, due to lasting insane GPU fever in my country my system is still not up to an adequate presentation of MSFS. The following is only my personal interpretation of whats happening. As I see it there is a sudden and abrupt change in the Sim after touchdown. When flying the plane is free and seperated from the 'Earth' The (ground)scenery and the aircraft are two different things that are displayed simulaniously but do not phisically interact with each other. Then on (stabilized) approach close to the ground at about 30ft you see the plane gradually entering the ground scenery part of the Sim. And after touchdown there is a sudden transition after which the plane is only reacting to the phisical shape of the ground scenery. It is this transition, this change that is too violent in my view. MSFS is much more pleasing then FSX but this is one thing that really differs, in FSX there is no transition between flying, flaring and the actual touchdown, it just goes on from one stage to the other with identical handling charactaristics. I'm a MSFS and FSX 'fan boy' When my new sys is complete I hope I will be able to adress this somewhere in the assistance settings. 5 5600X GTX1050TI 2X16 3200 M2

I got it from day 1 through X-Box 'Game-pass' 1 month for around $ 4,00. First download took me 120 hrs through my 1,0 GB Cable, average 40 kb a second. Installed it on my : H110m, I5 6700K, GTX1050TI, 1 X 16GB on my overcrowded, overfragmented 1TB HDD. No room for periph's so only KB and mouse. It flew with low to medium settings, in fact it flew about the same as my FSX Gold. One thing that I still cannot believe that I have never had a CTD , I only flew C152 over rural areas. It would stutter or pause over dense areas but I have never had to recover from a CTD. New rig now but still saving for a 3060TI GPU............

All books together describe minute by minute about 50 real world flights; flightplanning, preparation, T.O.,cruize, appraoch, landing etc, re-enacting them in FSX is a pure adventure. - My son lives in Japan, Flying in FSX in real time his flights between EHAM and RJAA with the help of 'Flight Aware' and A.S. is something special...... - Copying YouTube flights and other publications...... Even at this date I still feel that I'm nowhere near the end of my FSX boxed adventure. My sys is just unhappy with MSFS..........
