  1. Is your FS9 installed in any Program Files folder? If so, move the folder to another location like C:/FS /FS2004 and use the Flight1 Registry Fix program to reset the registry to the sim's new location.
  2. You can make new liveries of any plane, so yes you can.
  3. All the objects in the OB9 files are "geo-locked" - they will only show up in the region they were originally placed in. That is so because the placement information is in the same file as the object itself. Many of those objects are also in standard file libraries available online (kb_EZ_terminals, default_terminals_ss), which can be placed anywhere.
  4. It's just that I've made these same mistakes so many times before. :)
  5. You could try adding the following line to each livery section of the aircraft.cfg file? prop_anim_ratio=0.9 Hope this helps,
  6. This occurs because there is placement information in the same BGL file that contains the object models. Is there a way to *not* add placement information when creating the files using Instant Object Creator? If not, you have two choices. 1. Decompile the BGL file using a program like BGLXML or BGL2XML, edit out the placement section, and recompile the file using BGLComp from the FS9 SDK. 2. Use the tool GeoLock to unlock the file. http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?Folder=Geolock Hope this helps,
  7. Hi, Glad you found it. To be honest I had forgotten what that panel looked like. :)
  8. The panel bitmap is similar to one we used back in FS98 days (?), but not identical. :)
  9. Hi, The DC-4 Update pack contains the DC-4 panel (if needed), the DC-6 panel is in the United DC-6B Base Pack and the DC-7 panel is in the United DC-7 Base Pack.
  10. Gee guys, thanks a lot. It is actually a float tube, sort of a fancy inner tube that you sit in. But I don't do that any more - just can't hike all the gear up the mountain anymore... I still like camping, though. Luckily, the OP appears to have solved his problem without the necessity of my solution. But it may come in handy for others.
  11. We need more information. What program generated this error log? I would check the Xian MA-60.air file and make sure it is not Read-Only, OS protected, etc.
  12. I agree it's best to install first on a new computer because FS will set up the new video card into the fs9.cfg file. If you are upgrading an existing computer, this is less needed, but you may also need to set up all the FS folders in the Users folder?
  13. The only thing that wouldn't run on System 7 for me was the FSDS 2 installer. Note that was version 2. I found a way to take it off my XP computer that worked. If your upgrade maintains the XP registry and all programs, that should be all that's needed. Note that if you have FS9 installed into any Program Files folder, you may now have OS permission issues. If so, I would do this: 1. Cut the FS9 folder and paste it outside any Program Files folder. I used C:FS/FS2004. 2. Use the free Flight1 Registry Fix program to reset the registry to the new location. If you are starting over, my way to transfer: 1. Install Fs9 onto your new/updated computer using the folder name and location you want for your final installation (choose Custom). Do NOT install into any Program Files folder! I used C:FS/FS2004. 2. Rename the folder you just installed by adding something like Backup to the folder name. 3. Paste in your old FS9 folder onto your new/updated computer right next to the renamed folder. Now rename your pasted folder to the same name you used when you installed Fs9 in step 1. 4. Re-install any programs/addons that don't work. Hope this helps,
  14. The only way I know to do that is with the payware FS Panel Studio. And you don't have the reload the flight, just reload the plane.
  15. Drag the Water Detail slider all the way to the left?
  16. Thanks. :) FSAviator did a great job with that.
  17. Try setting the wind from either 100 or 280 at 8 kts. If that doesn't work, use a tool like AFCAD or ADE to remove the start locations for runway 14/32. Worth a try?
  18. Try this: 1. Load the default Cessna at SeaTac flight. 2. Switch planes to the 314. 3. Slew to the ocean and take off. Any different?
  19. Did you actually check every voice in EVP and make sure they all say Qatari?
  20. Camera views are only used by FSX and later sims.
  21. Did you try pressing Ctrl F4 to make sure your prop RPM is set to max?
  22. You double click them to run them. Other than a little flash you probably won't see much.
  23. Have you tried calibrating them in the sim? Have you tried using FSUIPC (registered version; it's free now) to assign and calibrate them?
  24. Sorry, but I do get tired sometimes...
  25. Well, in FS9 it's pretty simple - it must be in the FS2004/Aircraft folder. The obvious thing is to look in all the logically named folders (folders with AH-64, Alphasim, Virtavia, etc. in their name) and open the aircraft.cfg file by double clicking it. Then look for a line: ui_variation = IAF APACHE If that doesn't work, try this: 1. In the Aircraft folder create a folder called Removed. 2. Drag or Cut/Paste all of the suspect aircraft folders into this Removed folder. 3. In FS9 Aircraft/Select Aircraft. 4. Is it still there? 5. Narrow down the search by bring back each folder and then repeating step 3.
