  1. Erwin, this is truly fantastic! You've made a 1980's boy extremely happy:D Wait a minute. Wait a minute, Doc. Ah... Are you telling me that you built a time machine... out of a DeLorean? Perfect!!!
  2. Fantastic work! Many thanks for sharing with the community!
  3. If you purchased the product through Steam you can ask for a refund (if your game time happens to be below a certain point). Also, just because you happen to be experiencing hardware/performance related issues, doesn't mean this will be the case for everybody. I use FSW from time to time and whilst it's not my main simulator, it's still pretty good in certain areas (performance has never been an issue). Could you possibly list the components of your state of the art system? Maybe some of the members here can help you:D
  4. Fantastic work, one of your best! Many thanks for sharing :-) Dom
  5. Thanks for sharing Fred! I really enjoyed this one!
  6. Excellent work as always Keith. Thanks for sharing buddy!! Dom
  7. Nice work Fred, really enjoyed this one :-) Thanks for sharing. Dom
  8. As stated in the aircraft descriptions, the models the author uploads are Jacques Brault's models from X-Plane 8 and 9. These are carefully upgraded, whilst maintaining Jacques original work. The original developer is credited at least twice in the description. I myself have flown the majority of these converted aircraft and (as an experienced X-Plane user of 17 years) find them to perform without error. Also, your comment implies that the author...in your own words 'likes seeing his name a lot' couldn't be further from the truth. He is in fact a highly respected member of the X-Plane community and as such should be thanked for his efforts. If you have issues with any of the aircraft, then please use the COMMENTS section under the aircraft description, so that you can inform the author of any problems you're experiencing. Sounding off isn't going to help your cause. This is a community hobby, and as such a degree of understanding is...required.
  9. Hi Colin, It's normally good practice to have your X-Plane 'Custom Scenery' folder arranged so that mesh files are placed at the bottom, then object libraries, followed by any custom airports. This goes a long way in minimising any errors you might encounter on startup. In some ways it's very similar to the scenery library in MSFS, but instead of a graphical interface, you have a single file (also located in the 'Custom Scenery' folder) named: 'scenery_packs.ini' file. This can be edited (if required) with any good text editor and once you get the hang of it, it's a piece of cake. Hope this helps:D Dom
  10. Colin, this how the majority of sceneries in X-Plane work, i.e. they rely on third party object libraries. Had the author included these individually (if allowed) then the scenery would be considerably greater in size. Once libraries are installed in X-Plane, they are then referenced as needed. Check out the X-Plane tutorials here at FlightSim.com to learn more.
  11. Excellent work Erwin! I remember learning about this great ship back when I was a kid. Thanks for bringing her to MSFS!
  12. Absolutely fantastic Erwin! Thank you for such a fine example! Dom
  13. Lovely work Keith; can't believe I'm the first to comment!! Well done and thanks for sharing with the community. Dom
  14. How do I keep FSX interesting? I don't play it all the time. Deviating between sims, such as FSX, X-Plane and FlightGear, ensures that my interest never wanes. Oh...and then there is mountain biking, photography and dare I say it...the PS4:D
  15. Your South American sceneries are fantastic! Many thanks :-)
  16. Really enjoyed flying into this one! Many thanks for sharing :-) Dom
  17. What a great gift to the community! Many thanks Gary for all your hard work! All the best! Dominic
  18. One more thing Mike; have you selected the TrackIR option in X-Plane's menu: Cheers Dominic
  19. Hi Mike, Just a thought; have you tried this free alternative: http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm I know quite a few users who really rate it. Regards Dominic
  20. Hi Mike, Are you running the software through OSX or Windows? If you're experiencing problems with OSX, it might be worth installing Boot Camp and running X-Plane via that OS. Not only would your TrackIR work, but you'd also see the benefit of increased frame-rates. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/boot-camp Regards Dominic
