  1. Try this. Go to the File Library (link at top of this page) click: "Search Files" and type: Synthetic ILS You should find any versions that way.
  2. file: 'logbook.bin' is in your 'Documents' folder. Each user has his own 'Documents' folder. And his own logbook.bin file.
  3. cool that you got it fixed with only that vague link I posted. I thought you would, after your but glad it worked. lol:D Welcome to the forum. Oh, ask anything you want of course. Always. But just so you know, you can find a search box at the top of every page. And if you click on the little magnifying glass next to it you get the "advanced search" options. Enjoy!
  4. You may need to add or edit the dll.xml file section. This post contains a dll.xml file fsuipc section. (last section) https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?335551-Fsx-sdk&p=2173081#post2173081 4 posts before that in the thread is more explanation about the dll.xml file. (post by f16jockey) Make sure the fsuipc path in your dll.xml file is correct for your fsuipc location. If it isn't edit (or add) the path in the dll.xml file.
  5. Fs2020 is not an update of fsx. It is a separate program and installing it should not affect your install of fsx.
  6. I think that refers to fsx (Fsx GPS "nearest airports" function.) I think the version you mean there is msfs2020. In that case, mention also what aircraft you use. And which (addon) gps you are using.
  7. In fsx to make airlines park at the correct gate you can edit the airport and add airline codes to the gates. (with ADE, Airport Design Editor). I only use fsx but I expect in P3D it's the same.
  8. I expect they would use the starsigns. https://earthsky.org/space/what-is-the-ecliptic/
  9. Airport Design Editor (ADE) is great, really. But be aware that to use ADE you have to have the Fsx-SDK installeed as well. Plus, a small edit of an airport can be done quickly with ADE, but making Addon airports from scratch can be a lengthy process. for now I'd start by finding Addon airports that others made. Plenty of stuff right here in the flightsim.com File Library. (link at top left of page somewhere)
  10. Ok. I didn't realise the fallback folder was in C:\\... .../Scenery/Global/texture (thought it was somewhere in the moved folder.)
  11. I read your reply there. I'll post the abreviated version to help explain. For the Fallback= ../etc etc. (Fallback= ../Addon scenery/etc.) to work all you probably need to do is change the name of the folder that your scenery is in to "addon scenery". So if you moved if from your fsx install on C:\ to: F:\my_fsx_stuff\payware scenery\.. change that path to: to: F:\my_fsx_stuff\addon scenery\.. or maybe: F:\my_fsx_stuff\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\addon scenery\.. With your scenery folders in a folder that is called "Addon scenery" again the fallback should work.
  12. have a look at this install guide: https://simviation.com/1/fsxinstall
  13. Ooops! I thought I was posting in the fsx forum. (my fix was for the fsx Boeing 747.). Confusing name, MSFS, it is. It used to be the term for "all fs sims" of the old FS series. And I often typed Msfs gauge/plane into search boxes. That "msfs" term helped find results for fsx and fs9. Both useful for my fsx. Anyway, disregard the link in my previous post.:)
  14. Look here for my fix for the Boeing B747-400 VC. Gets all important buttons working: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?291525-How-do-I-get-all-buttons-to-work-in-the-boeing-747&p=1933446#post1933446
  15. Thanks for that link. Perfectly explains the safe mode and how to make use of it.
  16. Well done!😀 The install can take a long time. It can sometines seem to stall. Don't press 'cancel'!! Just let it run and watch some tv and go snack and sip coffee. After some time the installer will ask for disk 2. put it in, press ok, get back to the coffee. the installer may take a while but it should be ok. only once did I get a message 'connot file such-and-such', 'skip, cancel, or try again'? I got around that by leaving the installer Window alone, then opening a window and going to "my computer-cd drive-" and locating the file manually. I clicked on the file, thinking "that should tell you where it is" . In the fsx installer window clicked "try again" and it ran fine from there.:) Anyway, well done, happy flights, and welcome to the forum:)
  17. Sorry if that came off as rude. I was just trying to be direct.
  18. Did you use restsldl.exe? From the download at flyawaysimulaton? Did you run it properly? From a command promt? And starting that command prompt by clicking "CMD" and selecting "run as administrator"? Then all typing the commands correctly? I doubt it.😀 If you had you would have seen the "SUCCESS" message. So try again!😀
  19. your question answered here: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?303145-FSX-Installation-Error/page2
  20. Thanks for enlightning me.😀 did not know msfs had it's own safe mode. In my answer I did indeed assume he was using Windows safe mode.
  21. forgot to add link. This may help. Explains it further and mentions a possible solution in case you use a TV as monitor. https://superuser.com/questions/1531789/enable-graphics-card-or-change-aspect-ratio-in-safe-mode
  22. In safe mode graphics drivers don't get loaded. You will only get a minimal video display. Low resolution an 3:4 ratio. That is not enough to show MSFS on I think. I don not know if your card is good enough but if it is it will only work in normal mode, with the correct driver installed.
  23. xplane 11 runs on Windows, mac and linux Operating Systems. xplane 10 on windows and some mac Platforms. No separate installers for mac or Win. Both 11 has one installer for all. So does 10. What version did you buy? xplane11 steam edition? that will run most modern OS versions. There's a link to the xplane 11 Steam specsifications on this page: https://www.x-plane.com/product/x-plane-11-steam/ Here are the specs for the xplane 10 CD version: https://www.x-plane.com/product/x-plane-10-dvd/ Also check out if your system meets the other system requirements. You need a pretty powerful computer to run Xplane.
  24. the shiny things under the seat dont look like pistons that can extend/retract. If so then I think that would mean no roll. Also no pitch. maybe more suitable for cars then. less for flightsims. did you look for threads about it? (Google)
  25. (The same thing happened on my pc a few times. After simply connecting to onboard I got no signal from card any more. Nothing was wrong with card.) I may have the first steps wrong. more correct could be: Shut pc down Remove card AND remove cable from onboard. Then, without card and without monitor attached, press power button to boot. (It may actually reset IRQ or something and not driver at all like I was thinking earlier.) After boot has completed, shut down by 'press and hold power button' till pc shuts down. Now plug in card and attach cable to card. Boot again. (Still expect low res. and driver install required.)
