  1. Hey, Got a new fleet uploaded. This time of Saturn Airways. The files should be available within a day or so. This time it's a little different. I have also uploaded a complete aircraft this time. The Saturn Airways Lockheed L100-30. I looked hard for a (non AI) FSX or FS2004 version of the plane, but came up short. I decided then to make it myself. I contacted the very talented AI aircraft creator; Henry Tomkiewicz of HTAI, to use his aircraft. There you have it. It comes with panel & sound. Yes, it is AI, but it flies like a magic carpet - smooth as. Here is also my take on Saturn's history: Saturn was founded in 1948 as "All-American Airways" and, as a supplemental carrier, it flew cargo and tour flights. It's main business was with the U.S. military. In 1964 it got the authority by the CAB to operate transatlantic flights. Then, in 1965 AAXICO, a major military contract supplemental, submerged itself into Saturn. Tragically, two DC-6s were lost in accidents in January 1967, of which one was fatal. Later that year, Saturn became a public corporation. The fleet by 1968 comprised of DC-8-61s, DC-8-55Fs, DC-7CFs and DC-6As. In its first year of Jet operations they got a 49% increase in revenue. By 1971 Saturn was the 5th largest U.S. supplemental, and in 1972 they received their first of 12 Lockheed L100-30 Hercules. In 1974 Saturn got into merger talks with Trans International, and posted its largest net profit ever with gains of $4.9 million. The two airlines' application for the merger was approved by the CAB in 1976. Thus, on November 30 1976, the company merged into Trans-International Airlines (TIA). 2. Thanks everyone. Peer and Col, I agree the livery does come close to the Delta Air Transport and Dan-Air liveries. As for Dan-Air Col, I did their 707 about a year or two ago.
  3. Hey, I thought I'd go to the sunny tropics this time. I have just uploaded the TTAS - Trinidad and Tobago Air Services fleet (of two types - the DC-6B & the HS-748). This airline definitely had an eye catching livery. And, here's their history: Trinidad and Tobago is an island nation of the southeastern West Indies, in the Caribbean. It consists of two main islands — Trinidad and Tobago — and several smaller islands. Caribbean United Airlines Ltd. was the main carrier operating a service from Trinidad, the main island, to Tobago, which is off to the North of Trinidad. However, Caribbean United Airlines - established in 1970, failed as an airline and stopped operations in 1974. The government of Trinidad and Tobago consequently formed TTAS at Port of Spain on June 12, 1974 to take over the Port of Spain to Tobago service suspended upon the failure of Caribbean United Airlines. With a pair of Douglas DC-6Bs, TTAS, became the second national carrier, and undertook air bridge flights to Tobago, as well as routes to Grenada, Martinique, and St. Lucia. The DC-6Bs were replaced between 1977 and 1978 by HS-748s. After a short lifespan of 6 years, TTAS was taken over and merged into the main Trinidad and Tobago national carrier - British West Indies Airways, in 1980. And the planes TTAS DC-6B (CalClassic) TTAS HS-748 (Rick Piper) Cheers Ted
  4. I have to agree Rick. The L-1011 was just a fantastic machine. If it wasn't for the delays by Rolls Royce in delivering the engines to Lockheed, who knows the Tristar could have been bought by more airlines than the DC-10, as it was superior in many respects to the McDonnell Douglas competition. Here's a link on an article about the two competing wide bodies: http://www.modernairliners.com/lockheed-tristar/

  7. Just saw this Peer. The pics and scenery look top notch. Gotta love the classic props, hey.
  8. Thanks Peer. This airline was not on any sim sites and I decided to do the paints, as it's a great livery. Gerard, the airline doesn't exist anymore. Here is my brief history of it: Lynchburg based Air Virginia was formed by Rodney H. Jaeger in January 1979, and started operations with daily flights to Washington DC. They initially used Fairchild (Swearingen) Metro IIs, and Piper Navajo Chieftains. In 1981 they introduced the British Aerospace BAe 748-B2 to the fleet. 1983 saw them buy and merge Mid-South Airlines. Their route network expanded to 17 destinations by 1984; Maryland, Virginia,New York, New Jersey, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Later that year, the airline was purchased by Dimitri P. Nicholas. In 1985 they became a commuter partner of American Airlines, and inaugurated flights as the third member of the American Eagle commuter network. They changed their name to AV Air in November 1985, but by 1988 the airline ceased operations.
  9. Glad to hear it Larry. Air Virginia was a nice classic airline with a very nice livery, so I had to paint it. Hope you enjoy it.
  10. Hey, I just uploaded Air Virginia's (smallish) fleet and the repaints should be available soon. shots: Fairchild Metroliner III [Jon Murchison] and one of my favorite aircraft - Rick Piper's HS-748 Cheers, Ted

  15. Peer, yes you're right. They actually had a few Constellations after the acquisition of Slick Airways in 1966. I believe it was 7 Connies in total. I didn't do the repaint as Gary Harper did a good repaint of that. If you're interested, here is the Flightsim link of that repaint: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=copyright&fid=135611
  16. Hey, My previous uploads were the of Riddle Airline's fleet, and I continued to go with that airline, as it changed its name to Airlift International in 1963. 18. Great work! Hope you could do a few more classic airliner panels .
  19. Never mind, I just realized that it's Yamamotos model you have converted to FS9. Michael Roberts and Michael Pook have actually released an FSX version of this.
  20. Great plane. Excellent work. Will you also be releasing an FSX version?
