  1. Amen to that. If it was real, then I'd really be pushing for a discount!
  2. Beware of reds under the bed guys. It isn't one of Putin's is it? Good pic BTW.
  3. What's that runway made of anyway? Marshmallow? Nice shots by the way.
  4. Col, I didn't know you were an airline tycoon. Nice little fleet there. Any chance of a discount fare for me and the boys here?
  5. Could've sworn that was a real photo. Good one.
  6. Glad you like them guys. Peer, did you manage to paint your kitchen yet? :)
  7. lol Col, no problem mate. At least you've got a sense of humor, like Peer. I'm waiting for his comments now Thanks Gerard, enjoy the repaints.

  9. Hey, This is the next fleet in line from Africa. Ethiopian Airlines, with undoubtedly one of the most attractive liveries. here is some info: "Ethiopian Airlines was established in 1946 by the Emperor Haile Sellassie, and TWA which provided technical and managerial support. Regular operations commenced on April 8 1946 with a fleet of 6 ex USAAF DC-3s. Later in 1950, 2 Convair CV-240s entered the fleet. Then in 1958, the first DC-6B arrived on the scene. On January 1 1959 Ethiopian officially became a member of IATA. The first jet services started in 1963 after the delivery of the carrier's first Boeing 720s. The 720s replaced the DC-6Bs on the European routes. In 1964, Ethiopian started a new pilot training school, installed a large IBM computer system, and also established the largest jet overhaul facility in Africa. 707s, 727s, and 737s, joined the fleet in the ensuing years. Today Ethiopian ranks as Africa's supreme air carrier with a safe and reliable service, notwithstanding the 737 Max 8 tragedy, and has a vast route network. The cherry on top was when in 2014, Ethiopian dethroned South African Airways as the "Best African Airline". And the shots: Boeing 707-379C [Captain Sim] Boeing 727-260 [TDS] Boeing 737-260 [Tinmouse] Boeing 757-260ER [TDS] Cessna C-172 [A2A] de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 [PAD] Continued............................
  10. Thanks David, Gerard, and Rick. Col, I see where you're coming from. I also wanted to paint some aircraft which I liked, but someone else had done them already, so it would've basically been a waste of time. However, having said that, there are some liveries which I will do, even if they have been done before. In the distant future, I want to do one of my all time favorite liveries; the TWA double globe livery. I know its been done in the past but, hey, who cares, I'll do it anyway. Sorry to hear that you lost most of your planes. It's just one of those things. I think many people have lost valuable files due to computer glitches, faults, breakdowns etc.. Life goes on. Now on to my next fleet. A little hint; it's an airline which was the victim of an unlucky, and heart wrenching disaster not too long ago. Adios
  11. Hi there Peer and Col. Glad I've kept you guys happy. And, Col I saw your repaints the other day. Man, you've definitely kept yourself busy. Have you thought about repainting actual airlines and sharing them with the rest of us?

  13. Hi, I've just uploaded the latest fleet, and it's from sunny Guyana in northern South America. They had a quite interesting history, in that just about all their aircraft were leased. Their livery over the years was also interesting and varied. Some info on Guyana Airways: "Guyana Airways was formed in 1963 in Georgetown Guyana, and a network of scheduled services was developed through the 1960s and 1970s linking Georgetown with 24 domestic destinations, as well as Miami, Boa Vista (Brazil), and such Caribbean spots as Barbados and Port of Spain. Guyana Airways virtually leased all its aircraft, which is why many different aircraft types were used during the airline's operations. In 1978 its fleet consisted of a DC-6A, 2 Hawker Siddeley HS 748s, 2 DHC-4A Caribou, 2 DHC-6 Twin Otters, and 1 Cessna 310. Later on Tu-154s, L-188 Freighters, 2 707-300s, a 737-200, and a 757-200 were added to the fleet. The 707s were used for the direct service between Paramaribo and New York. In 1999 the airline ceased operations due to financial problems." The planes: Boeing 707-323 [Captain Sim] Boeing 737-2L9 [Tinmouse] Boeing 757-28A [TDS] de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou [Mike Stone] Douglas DC-3 [Manfred Jahn] Douglas DC-6A [CalClassic] Continued below...................................
  14. Thanks to everybody. Glad you like them. Anyway, I'm already onto my next airline now. Got a bit of work ahead of me. Cheers Ted
  15. Hi Col, Thanks very much, enjoy flying them. BTW my name happens to be Ted not Rick:) As for my high standards, that's one thing I focus on when I try to do the repaints. It's my tribute to all the great classic airlines and airliners of the past that have flown the skies. It would be a great injustice if I just create some run of the mill repaints, some of which I downloaded in the past and quickly discarded them, before I started repainting myself. They were really not up to standard. This is the reason I took up the mantle and do what I'm doing. Ted
  16. ..........continued from above Boeing 707-349C [Captain Sim] Boeing 737-2Q9 [Tinmouse] McDonnel Douglas DC-10-30 [Thomas Ruth] That's it.....until next time. Ted
  17. Hey all, The new fleet is Zambia Airways. It had a nice livery and was worth painting. Some info on the airline: Zambia Airways was formed as a subsidiary of Central African Airways (CAA) in April 1964. When CAA collapsed in 1967, Zambia Airways became a fully Zambian owned carrier. In 1968, the fleet consisted of DHC2 Beavers, DC-3s, and two newly delivered BAC-111s from the defunct CAA. They flew on regional routes to Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, and Mauritius. Alitalia was also hired to provide support of the initiation of new international services. A Douglas DC-8-43 leased from Alitalia was used for the long-haul Lusaka to London flights, which were inaugurated in November 1968, via Nairobi and Rome. In 1970 Zambia Airways took delivery of 3 HS-748s, and in 1974 they received their first Boeing liner; the 707-343C. One year later the two BAC-111s were sold to Dan-Air. July 1976 saw the delivery of the carrier's first 737-200. Zambia Airways received their first wide-body DC-10-30 in July 1984. Zambia Airways did well financially over the years, but by the end of the 1980s and early 1990s, things were a bit more complicated. With financial difficulties facing Zambia Airways, it was forced into liquidation in December 1994. The planes : THE ORIGINAL OLD LIVERY: de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver [John L. Woodward] Douglas DC-3 [Manfred Jahn] THE LATTER OLD LIVERY Hawker Siddeley HS-748 1970 [Rick Piper] Douglas DC-8-43 [JustFlight] BAC-111-200 [David Maltby] THE NEW AND FINAL LIVERY: Hawker Siddeley HS-748 1980 [Rick Piper] .......Continued below
  18. David, thanks. And Peer, which one of the lot is your favorite? Enjoy your flights around scenic Norway gentlemen.
  19. No problem guys. Enjoy your flights. And Peer, I made sure to upload them as quick as possible, because I wouldn't want one of your nose punching specials! :D
  20. Hey Fellas, I have just uploaded my latest fleet and it should be available soon. This time it's Norwegian carrier, Fred Olsen Airtransport. Here is some info on the airline: "The famous Norwegian shipping magnate; Fred Olsen, formed his new airline "Fred Olsen’s Flyselskap" in June 1946. It was a nonscheduled carrier, which offered aircraft leasing, passenger and cargo charters, calibration flights, and contract service flights. They started with DC-3s and in 1958 five C-46s joined the fleet. Also, many of the company’s services were undertaken under contract to SAS, the national carrier of the Scandinavian countries. Fred Olsen Lines was focused mainly on cargo flights, and in 1965 their fleet had three C-46s and one DC-6A/B. Two more DC-6s were added to the fleet during 1966-67, followed by a Convair CV-340 in 1968. In 1969 Fred Olsen Lines' emphasis was to offer executive passenger charter services with their new Falcon executive jets. However, this special service did not work for the company, and in 1972 Olsen sold the two Falcons to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. So, the focus was back to Cargo, and in 1974 The first of many L-188Cs joined the fleet. The 1970s and 1980s were quite good for the ailrine and by 1986 the emphasis was shifted entirely to cargo charters. In 1997 Fred Olsen's airline ceased operations. The reasons offered were the loss of maintenance contracts, and difficulties in making a profit in the Central European freight market." They also had DC-6A/Bs in their fleet. I didn't do a paint on that as there is a nice one done by the late Frank Gonzalez, which you can find here on Flightsim. Here are the planes: Fred Olsen C-46 [L. Guzman] Fred Olsen Convair CV-340 [CalClassic] Fred Olsen DC-3 [M.Jahn] Fred Olsen L-188F [KBT] Fred Olsen Dc-4 [JBK] Fred Olsen Viscount 700 [JBK] Luftfartsverket (Fred Olsen) HS-748 Srs2A [R. Piper] Enjoy. Ted
  21. No problem guys, enjoy them. And Bob, they sure do fly rings around the competition!
