  1. That's because most of them are VORTAC's...but not all.

As time goes by equipments are modernized or replaced by new ones.

In the 70s DME was a rarity, only main international airports had them. You could say 20%

    In the 80s 40%

    90s 60%

    2000 70%

    2010 80%

So it depends when you were born and started flying...is what gives the impression that “all VORs have DME” :)

“Reality is an illusion, one today, another one tomorrow”

  2. You dont say which plane.

Usually you must turn on the lights for digital displays, the knob for the Airbus autopilot is just below its panel. Also check you have any dev Mods installes in community, if they are from before the patch they will cause issues

I believe all the electrical failures you are having are related to the lack of fuel in the center tank

this was discussed already here and in the official MSFS forum

  3. In the "flight conditions" popup from the world map, you just need "live players" enabled.

If thats only what you want to see then in the "traffic" setting you need to select "off".

    Thanks! Will try it

I definitely want to use one or the other but never both at the same time

AI is going to really be nice once the range of planes and liveries for each real world plane (B737, B777, the turboprops, Embraers, a few old models still active) not to mention OLD Traffic , we are rapidly getting to a time when even young people want to recreate the traffic of only 10 years ago when you had MD11s and 757 or 747-200 still active)

The air market is getting too new and that is related to very few, todays reality is not representative of what people want to see in a sim world, unless you have been travelling a lot in the last months which is very unlikely to the virus haha

  4. The SDK is in your FSX disc 1, run the disc , look through it, its a large file as far as its going to go into your FSX. If you cant go into that or anything in way of files right click and make yourself admin. i do that on every install of anything so that i can make any cfg change i want. With some aircraft like Captsim and a few others the system will crash if you dont set the install as admin. Good Luck.

you didnt realize we are talking about MSFS2020 ?

  5. Suggestion

In the Main Menu Screen once it starts

    Go exploring on your own.

Use the mouse and try clicking in everything you see on the screen to see where it takes you, thats the best way to memorize and get to know with the new layout

Forget how it was in FSX, its a new sim

    Explore it

  6. SO I have a high end computer and have set my settings to ULTRA. Yet when I go fly all my trees are very blocky and bulky and not looking realistic as I have seen in some pictures. My FPS is just fine why are my trees so bulky and blocky. Anything I can do to render them better. Again all is on Ultra settings I have a 2080ti and I9-9900k at 5gx and fps is all good just visuals suck still at ultra. Buildings are not realistic and textures are blurry in spots. Any help to fi this would be great. I'm new to MS2020 and the MS flight sim in general.

For Trees theres is a fix

  7. Most of the problems seem to be people trying to run it on a 5 year old laptop, or they have a slow internet connection and corrupt the download, or they want to load it on a HD instead of an SSD, or they don't want to learn the new product operations, or they never even try it, just watched some review by a twerp on a video. Since many folks run it successfully, it must be failure of the users or their equipment instead of an intrinsic flaw.

    Exactly!

By the way the Dev at flybywire Airbus Mod have fixed the fuel issue.

  8. Hi

am I mistaken to think that flightsim.com and other sites are sort of tolerant or happy with trollers campaigning against MSFS?

Remember if we should do this kind of thing a year ago in P3D FSX or XP or traditional sponsors of products like they do today in MSFS forums anyone would be suspended immediately, specially since they are fan users of other versions and dont own the new sim. They go there specifically to stall it, its not just a free opinion, have their say and go away, they remain and fuel their jealousy towards the new sim instead of going back to the forum of their preferred version or just fly and have fun.

I believe unsympathy by site owners towards MSFS is because websites are realizing addons will be channeled elsewhere?, thats why they need the other sims on top to sell their addons and ads?

Its just a perception . Its a private forum, I know

    thanks

    K

  9. I'm over it

This sim is ridiculous, a heap of time binding my x52 pro then start flying the planes & none of them fly right, trimming is useless in fact the whole thing is terrible. Where is atleast one military jet.I didn't want to spend money on it straight up so I bought an Xbox game pass for pc to download & use it, it was $1 for the first month then $4.95 a month after so i have been working on it & getting very frustrated. Then I get an email from microsoft informing me the game pass is going up to $10.95 a $6 amonth increase. I cancelled my game pass after reading the email. They can keep their 2020, I'm back to my xplane, works & flies like a dream & can have enemies in the sky to take out.

    Cheers simmers.

Moderator for good better close this. Thanks

  10. Maybe you are right

But remind you there has never been an nvidia update without folks appearing saying its worse. rolling back, etc. And we are on version 456. Usually some other thing interferes with performance at the same timeline and the affected user thinks is the drivers just updated.

Now that Nvidia has said its following MSFS (in previous sims nvidia never addressed the flight community) , and Geforce Experience allows to specifically target MsFS, I update the drivers no-questions asked.

  11. LOL! I fly around the UK in the (modded) Bonanza G36 & DA62, and down to the Mediterranean and Aegean in the (also modded) Citation CJ4, they're very easy to fly when modded.

I'm saving the airliners and other premium deluxe planes until they're fully patched, which won't be long now.

I'm flying the CJ4 as my own charter airline, TWA (Tim Wright Airlines) and ATC recognise the code!

So maybe there's hope for you 'classic' airliner guys after all...

    Great news!

Are all the MODs in Github?

    Going for them now, thanks!

  12. In the sim there are different planes.

When you get used to one and move to another, that requires different trim or pressure in manual flying, we tend to think the model is jerky or broken.

I chose the Citation and noticed my inputs in the yoke although small were puting VS up or down.

No! I want it to fly straight and level without touching the yoke

So I started trimming, one click, two, three, four down, until it final stood still at VS zero

Sometimes you need to trim and trim until the plane responds smoothly

Someone in the other forum said these jets, apart from the Airbus, and the Cessnas in GA, the rest are far from ready. I agree.

But while we wait for improvements this advice helps. Trim it until it doesnt move from level flight
