  1. Its correct

In any given day, anywhere in the world, there will be usually be up to 3 layers, some layers might have more than one type of the four most common tyoe of clouds

The 64 layers (i think i read 32) are the layers in which Meteoblue divide the atmosphere for lchanging parameters (surface, calm, windy, foggy, hazy and upwards)

Still weather has a lot to improve and i believe Meteoblue only applied 1% of what is capable but needs more time.

  2. You know why Im jumping into this?

Because someone had this conversation before every time a new sim version came out fs2002, fs9, fsx, even xp... and it was always pointed out that the sim was too cartoonish clear vivid colors while real life was actually more washed out overexposed.

And now that a sim tries to make it more real comes you wishing it was more cartoonish!

  3. About a week ago, I posted 2 pix of the same place and time, one in MSFS2020, and one from P3D, and I asked if anyone agreed with me that the former looked washed out in comparison. None of the commenters did. So be it.

So here's a pic of the Na Pali Coast on Hawaii's Kauai Island, taken today in late morning. Is there none among you who can admit, like the child in "The Emperor's Clothes," that this is hopelessly overexposed?

You need to fly more in real life and take pictures and not do bias comparisons...

Like your previous thread on this subject, where you compared orange to apples, a sunny cloudy washed out simulator with a SUNSET picture (orange shade included)...

    Can you believe it??????

How can someone be such a ..... to compare two different things?

And i replied in the the thread with a real life washed out picture of a passenger window shot i was flying at that very same day posted from the airport lounge an hour later

It has nothing to do with being a pilot or not, flying a lot or not, it has to do with "memory perception" of what you THINK you saw, you can be a pilot that flew yesterday and still have a bad eye perception of what yoy see daily when comes to describing it. Of course its not like real life

You dont realize that sunlight and non-dense cloud thin haze do look in real life to be overexposed, though simulator is not a perfect representation of the human eye in real life, its bettet than any other simulator...

Take more pictures while flying and make honest comparisons (with other sims)

  4. Maybe they are dumbing down the graphics for the imminent next gen Xbox release. While more powerful than old xbox it has only 16 gig of ram(from what I've seen),the optimal specs from m$ for flightsim is 32 gig.they don't want the PC version to look better than their flagship Xbox so just degrade the graphics for the PC version.

So if you are thinking of buying a high end gamming PC like I did for this game(emphasis on the word "game"),You can just spend 5 or 600 dollars for a next gen xbox,M$ will limit graphics on PC to only what next gen xbox can handle.I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

my friend Xbox is synonymous of crap

    no good.

The graphics depend greatly on your TV and GPU, 4K or not

The sim is only interesting with complex planes and Mods that over a span of at least four years will be constantly updated. Plus a complex cockpit and flight need all the plugins and support sites like simvector, approach plates, atc-chatter, etc that xbox wont be able to deliver to a

console user. Its for using default planes as is. Though technically you can add files its such a pain few will do it

As I always said: xbox is for kids-teens. Enjoy it

MS already knows this thats why they released for PC first. Because its more flexible, because there are mature simmers to investigate and help with bugs, etc

  5. There can be big waves with no wind at all in real life because they come from far away. Another asobo screw up.

Exactly, but the waves are there, they can be shown.

Its just a matter of tweaking.

Right now there are no ocean current simulation

So the only variable tweak is wind

But once you find that parameter in config file, you can set nice waves at wind zero

and fly with a more realistic ocean in general

  6. actually you can, I was at 800ft and the flying was smooth,

the 60kts wind parameter shot in the video is a setting for "wind surface" in the weather drop down menu

the wind icon is at very bottom left.

So i guess this wind exclusive for surface that doesnt affect flying, (i guess) but i didn try to land with this wind. I dont think the magnitudes of numbers are well represented. But Im sure it can be if the configs are properly tweaked

  7. I haven't tried any sound editing myself, I've just searched for how it might be done. There is a freeware A320NEO sound mod though, so it can definitely be done.

EDIT: I just checked the A320 NEO mod and it uses freeware FSX A320 .wav sounds directly by naming them in the default MSFS A320 NEO .json file.

I've no idea how you could do this with menu music though!

But...do you regard "freeware FSX A320" better than MSFS sound?

Have you seen the Asobo recording equipment and all they`ve been through to get the sounds?

how can some freeware from 2010 be better?

I know its not you but the guy that made the addon...still would like to know why he thinks his sound is better

  8. The brightness just went black (a bug issue) just turn the left brightness knob again and it will come back

The Mod guys acknowledge this, its them that say: "just turn the brightness knob again" not me, thats why I told you, you downloaded the MOD but didn't know about it and i replied to help on that, but they clarified this at their site, maybe you didn't read it

The center fuel was another issue that was fixed by latest Mod (the dev beta NOT the stable version) actual size 84,006KB found in the green CODE box at github
