Alternatively, revised mesh can make sense of otherwise questionable landclass - rocks in the middle of a field can become a rocky outcrop; the green grass in the middle of a built-up area is revealed as a steep slope, that kind of thing...
I use it for sim tuition as it's repeatable, free with P3D and functions with all addons that I've tried it with.
So yes, I'd say you're using it wrong.
They're not.
X-plane scenery is in many cases, portovers of that of P3D.
Who told you this rubbish? I think their may be some airports and sceneries that are better in one sim than the other but a blanket conclusion fails to consider how one sim developer may be more artistic than another and is plain wrong...
`Future` product surrounded by hype and customer expectation. Who knows what changes will be wrought by MS, or to MS, in future.
Not to be considered at this time.
Rumoured to be available in Fall of 2020 and that's about it for now...
The pricing is both logical, and sequential, ranging from individual airports to national, international and global texture replacements.
Precisely what is it about ORBX, not orgx, that you don't understand, apart from the name?
In my career as a real world pilot, only rank amateurs ever refer to `altitude` as `height`.
Height only measures how far your head is away from your feet - and in aviating terms is only of use in telling you whether the fin will fit in the hangar..!
Rudder Pedals are as necessary for flight simming as a steering wheel for a driving game.
Unless you are only going to fly an Ercoupe, which is a bit...limiting!
This works for one-off applications. However, if the addon is the first of many, it's better to have them all installed to the same HD location, in which case the FSX .cfg is the way to go... Like I said, either will do, the user simply makes the choice based on their skillset.
Videos of the T Ruth A330 I've seen show the aircraft landing exactly like the real thing - rear wheels from the bogies first, then fronts...
Ask yourself what you are doing wrong - and stop doing it!
And this is why I stopped reporting on updated drivers:
*436.15 released on 27/08/19
*436.20 released 29/08 - Beta Vulkan driver
*440.23 Insider driver released to Insider Group for Windows 18 970 on 30/08/19
So far, 440.23 looks the best - still no FPS difference AT ALL...
It's all pointless, unless it's part of a regular update session.
Altitude being called is from the RADAR Altimeter which is AGL. See other posts about the difference between MSL and AGL. Airports are usually MSL.
Soa callout "50 feet" into a runway that is 150 feet above mean sea level means the aircraft height above the ground is 50` when it's altitude is 200 feet. Clear?
