  1. sford has the answer you need. just like windows of old when you installed it you would have to activate it. FSX is no different. Due to them getting out of FSK and letting dovetail/steam take over they no long use thier servers to activate. you will have to phone microsoft using the 800#. Hope this gets you back in the air.

Totally false. FSX boxed is activated on the Microsoft servers just as it always has. The same servers activate tens of other MS products as well. DO NOT phone Microsoft because they will tell you that they no longer support FSX, which is the truth. However, if you call the activation number and listen to the robot walk you through the activation process you will be able to activate your FSX just fine. Until you do this the most you will be able to fly is 30 minutes.

  2. Many talented freeware developers have also left the hobby after getting too many:

    "XYZ sucks."

"The screws on the tails are 3 mm too large."

"The fuel tank holds one less kg of fuel than it should."

"Why can't you put my registration number on every plane?"

Be careful in what you wish for.

  3. The fact remains FSX does not support all the features because you actually need the Xlibraries, not the DirectX ones.

The fact remains that it is recognized like any other joystick.

    You don't need any Xlibraries.

Are you really sure you don't make this stuff up?

  4. Welcome everyone to the new Flight Videos Forum here at FlightSim.com. As in most situations, some guidelines need to be put forth so that our forum here remains a positive, enjoyable place to share our enjoyment of flight, either real or simulated.

--Video links can be embedded or individually listed in a thread.

--There is a 10 video limit per thread. Do not post 10 videos and then respond to that post with more videos.

--Do not post videos of copy writed material. This includes the music that may be a part of the video.

--Commercial members or those associated with a commercial product may not post videos of their products. Customers are free to post such videos.

--Videos must be flight related, either real or simulated flight.

--Comments to videos are most welcomed and must remain within the general posting guidelines set forth here at FlightSim.com.

--These guidelines are subject to change as necessary.

    --Have fun!!
