Make sure a sound setting called noise reduction or something along those lines is not turned on in your Sound Blaster control panel.
-
No way to roll back and even if there was MSFS would update the next time it was run.
-
If Windows recognizes it, then no drivers needed.
-
SOL due to graphics.
-
The same with FS2004 and FSX. The AP system can't adjust fast enough. Bet if you could fly 4X in real life the plane would fly differently too.
-
It works. Just manually set up your button and switch assignments.
-
Did you go to your MS Store account and tell it to update MSFS?
-
Buy them all, as there are no conflicts.
-

You don't need a special cooler just to run MSFS unless you are going to over clock your CPU. MSFS is less stressful on the CPU then past versions.
-
Having trouble advancing sim as stated above.
Just use the default R+ and R- keys and be done with it. No need to use any app.

The second shot looks like it's from a cartoon.
-
I see all three versions but at regular price.
-
Seasons are not implemented as of right now.

It's not that hard to find it in the Event Log even with ALL the other Windows logging.
-
Same here. Spent time setting up my CH Products Flight Yoke and getting the sensitivities right. Then comes the latest patch which screwed that up and introduced numerous other bugs. This sim will go the way of MS Flight. It'll be dead in a year. Maybe less.
Thanks for the positive words!

The Windows Event Log will show you everything you need to know. There are no log files in MSFS itself.
-
it is on disk 1..
you need it all the time. (each use of MSFS)
like in MSFS 2000.
But for that .exe there was a patch.
What if he has the digital version from MS?
What if he has the Steam version?
He doesn't want to know what disk it's on, he wants to know where it is on his COMPUTER.

Go into FSX cfg file as admin, type DisablePreload, that would be at the very bottom of the cfg as the cfg file is written in reverse. Have issues with memory or ram ? alleviate the issue with MEMFIX=1 , Now that goes at the top above the first line. Any other issues leave them here. One tip, one thing that overworks fsx is shortcuts on your screen and just before you start fsx go to search type %TEMP% and the temp files will come up, delete all, what cant be deleted will stay, all of that will speed up the fsx program and in fact they are preload files the system that will be redone on the next boot. Make sure you type in the cfg just as ive typed it.
We aren't talking about FSX here. We are talking about MSFS. Also, the stuff you posted above is totally wrong.

Log into your MS Store account.
Click on Update.
Start MSFS.
-
The patch was 11GB not 97.
-
They should of made it more like fsx, but with the better scenery.
Then you would hear that all it is, is an upgrade to FSX, and not a new program. We've been upgrading for years now so it was time for a fresh start.
-
Wait for MS to fix it.

On your Start Menu in Windows, under the "M" you have the icon to start the program.
FSX planes
in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 General Discussion
Posted
1. Because the SDK is a work in progress.
2. Because MSFS was released on Aug 18th, less than 2 months ago.
3. Because most of the work needs to be done from scratch.
4. Because most of the FSX planes you are referring to were FS2004 planes ported over to FSX, big difference.
