Is there any buttons, dials etc on the VFR Map that can be used with a mouse on the second monitor?

Yes there are. Anything you can interact with on the main screen can be done on the second monitor.

I'm a bit disappointed at the color saturation in MSFS2020. It seems it was a lot better in P3D and FSX.

 

Can it be adjusted?

Now pull up Bing Maps and see if the color is the same.

Clicked on the icon to launch FS2020 today and it opens Microsoft store. Tried a number of times with the same result.

It's there in my library and even clicking on launch there opens Microsoft Store again.

Anyone else come across this?

I'm beginning to think that with other issues that this has been a real waste of money!

It is doing that because you need to update with the first patch. It opens the Store window and downloads a part of the patch, then you start MSFS and the rest will be installed.

I ran into this problem with starting a flight, the blue bar reaches the end then it exits on me.

The update shows up in my content manager with a message “relaunch the game to download”. I have relaunched several time but it does not download. Am I missing something?

No, because nothing new has been released yet.

I have too many problems and would like to re-install the game but can't find a way in the files nor in MS Store,

Go to Apps and Features in Win10.

Scroll down to MSFS

Left mouse click and choose Uninstall.

FSUIPC and FS2020? Really? Explain.

Not much to explain. Pete and John were early developers and have a FSUIPC version that works with MSFS and external programs.

BlackShark.ai is responsible for taking the 2D map imaging and converting to the 3D world you see in MSFS.

The traffic data is from Flightaware.

I really like the ability to display a map at anytime, this is convenient for taxiing and for navigation.

Do you know what are 'isoline map' and 'GPS tracking' in the VFR map window? I turned them on and off but couldn't see any change...

Do you know how to get frequency information from this map? (get a VOR or ILS frequency}

isolines will be drawn around areas where the elevation changes.

GPS tracking will keep you centered on the map.
