Where did you purchase from?
You also need to sign in to the Microsoft Store on the computer you want to use for MSFS.
The you download the MSFS installer from the store.
Lastly the installer will download and install the rest.
-
Uninstall it from d and reinstall it to c.

Looks great!

Nope the folder is empty by default. Don't worry about it.
-
If you are using a flight plan, make sure all the data points are present in MSFS.

The NO CD fix is if you do not have the DISC's to install.
A No CD fix means you don't need to have the CD in your computer to play the game.

Maybe his monitor only supports 1920 X 1080. There is no use running anything at a higher resolution than your monitor can support.
-
Update through the MS Store first, then start MSFS and it will update a second time.
-
Sign out of MarketPlace and sign back in.

Most of the WOAI packages are in FS2004 format and the flight plans need to be converted to FSX format. That is why you see very few planes.

1. Yes, C:\MSFS
2. 107 GB after the latest update, No.
3. No, you would re-purchase Deluxe at full price.

Fill the sky with clouds. The night sky in MSFS is pretty accurate compared to the actual night sky once you remove the light pollution.
-
Turn Dev Mode off. Shut down MSFS. Start MSFS up again. FPS screen gone.

Agree 100%!

Mark, you may as well save your breath, there are those here that will never be convinced it is not all down to user systems, user errors, inability of user.
I think the problem is that they don't use it as a simulator. It's nice scenery, and good for screenshots, but it is not a simulator because it doesn't simulate anything. It tries to but it can't, it is so full of bugs they don't seem to be able to fix.
I still use it when I want to see what some part of the earth looks like, I could use Google Earth, but it's fun to fly over places. But for "Flight Simulation" I still use FS2004 and XPLANE. These are still far far better Flight Simulators.
Geoff
It works for many of us just fine. Yes, better than your FS2004 and XPLANE. Maybe you should hold your breath too.

People stopped using default FS2004 since about 2005. *head scratch. Lots of fancy texture upgrades and add-ons now.
I see it with my default FS straight out of the box. No fancy texture upgrades or add-ons.
-
Where in default FS2004 can I see that?

I've done it, through the Content Screen, since day one and I have not had a single issue. And I continue to remove un-needed things after every Update. You'll be just fine if you do this.

Sign out of your MS Store account and sign back in.

This sounds like a monitor that needs the color adjusted. Your video card has a way to tune the color spectrum.
Even if it just a few roads?
Even if others have seen it and reported it?

but MSFS2020 didn't drop a cent.
Why should it when it's number 25 on the Steam top sellers list?

To put some perspective on this I would just like to remind folks that the same excellent result was reproduced in FS9 15 years ago with Ultimate Terrain 1.2 and Flight Ontario's Toronto scenery. And come to think of it, MSFS is actually a better Ultimate Terrain and not a better simulator, as it falls short where both FS9 and FSX did before which was (and is) the scenery at ground level.
Please post a video comparing MSFS default and FS9/FSX tricked out scenery of this same flight. Or screenshots would work too!
I Shall Persist . . . .
