  1. Is there a way to assign the Pitot Heat to a joystick button? I am not able to do it no matter what I assign to the button or switch.
  2. There are several Youtube videos showing how to create custom camera views and save them. Also I saw one that shows how to modify custom camera view files. You might try searching there and see if that is what you are looking for. The one I saw was by FlyBy Simulations-How to setup "Wing Views" & "Custom Camera Views" in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
  3. I have both X-Plane 11 and P3d 4.5. I tried them again a few weeks ago. I'm sorry but they look so cartoonish, even with several hundreds of dollars in addons, especially Orbx. I'm staying with MSFS.
  4. Yes Steve, I do. But the older I get the more it seems to be not worth all the effort to maintain it and keeping it clean. Plus the cost of all the chemicals.
  5. I don't do Facebook either and one of my daughters and her husband don't do it anymore. I only got a Facebook account when I had an Oculus Rift S VR headset to make it work.
  6. Thank you for the Youtube link, Donnie. I really appreciate it! And it will help me very much. I also found a few other Youtube videos on this subject. Thanks for your reply Steve. I am glad to know your Bravo TQ buttons don't show up in Windows 10 joystick test program either, and it is normal. I haven't tried programming my Bravo TQ yet. I've been rather busy lately preparing my swimming pool for winter as well as cleaning and changing the water and filter on my hot tub. Also much leaf and pine needle raking, blowing out the lawn sprinklers, etc. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so with any luck I will get the TQ setup. Also, Steve, congratulations on your new video card. You are definitely making it hard for me to "keep up with the Hardings"!!! I will get a new video card like yours eventually. I can only buy one expensive piece of hardware at a time. Now saving up for that new video card.
  7. My new Honey Comb Bravo Throttle Quadrant arrived in the mail today. I am very excited to get it up and running. I had to do my usual household chores outside to get prepared for winter until 4:00 PM today. That gave me enough time to rebuild my platform for the Alpha Flight Yoke, the new Bravo Throttle Quadrant plus 2 Logitek Throttle Quadrants (only used for switch buttons for functions and possibly the levers for other functions). I know a few people have the Bravo unit. The 7 toggle switches aren't recognized in the Windows 10 Joystick test screen after calibrating. Is this normal? Steve, do you have a good program for the Throttle Quadrant I can follow? You are a great source of information. I really enjoy your input.
  8. Hi Steve. I do watch your videos on You Tube. I especially enjoyed your video showing your cockpit setup. Very impressive.
  9. No that's not me. Maybe I can take some pictures and post them at some point.
  10. Hi Paul, welcome to the wonderful world of VR. I'm glad you got everything fixed and running. I have a couple of questions for you. Do you know if that company in the UK makes replacement lenses for the HP Reverb G2? How much improvement in the sweet spot did you get? Kevin
  11. Oh, I get it now. That is a Flightsim.com member. Yes, very impressive. I have a full size 737NG cockpit with all the switches, gauges and displays. I removed the 737 yoke and throttle assembly to install The Honeycomb yoke and throttle.
  12. Thanks again. It was a little choppy with using those settings from people who have the 3080 video cards. Now it is buttery smooth! Kevin
  13. Thank you very much for the info. Yes I have seen many videos from “VR Flight Sim Guy”. They are always very informative.
  14. Thanks Steve. It is very nice to be back. I am like you, once I went VR I can't go back. I haven't flown since my G2 went on the fritz. I can't fly on a flat panel monitor anymore. I have a favor to ask you, however. Our computer systems are very close to identical. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting your VR settings in MSFS and Openxr and Nvidia Control Panel if you use it? I have been watching several You Tube videos but all those guys have RTX 3080 video cards. It would be much appreciated. Kevin
  15. Granted I have to feel around to grab my yoke and throttle quadrant and mouse. But I am very familiar with their locations and where the buttons are located on the hardware so it is not too difficult. You get used to it and it becomes second nature. VR has come a long way and will continue to progress. I see you have a Logitech throttle quadrant. The handles are different shapes for the throttle, mixture and prop so you can feel the difference when you touch one and can easily identify what knob you have grabbed. Of course you usually have at least one hand on the yoke at all times so it is no issue. Very smooth flights now-a-days and it is very immersive. It looks very realistic and I sometimes try to reach out and touch something that is not there in reality. When I land I find myself physically lurching forward when I come to a full stop. That's how amazing it is! I haven't heard of nwanerka. Could you provide a link to it, please so I can check it out, please?
  16. Finally got my HP Reverb G2 VR Headset working again. I received it in April of this year and it quit working in June. Contacted HP who stated I have a bad cable. I eventually received a new cable a month or so later which did not fix the issue. The headset would not recognize any USB 3 port on my computer. Thinking there was a problem with my USB ports, I purchase a addon front panel with a bunch of USB 3 ports and broke some pins off my motherboard while trying to plug them in. So after saving up some money for s few months, I decided to upgrade and purchased an Z490 motherboard and Intel I9-10900 CPU. I also purchased another 1Tb m.2 SSD exclusively for MSFS. After installing the new parts into my computer and reinstalling everything, including MSFS, I was again sadly disappointed to find my G2 still would not be recognized by Windows mixed Reality no matter which USB port I plugged it into. I again talked to HP who decided to send me another cable, which were all on backorder by the way. After a couple of weeks I did some diagnosing on my own and determined the headset was faulty. I contacted HP again and told them all that I have done and think it's a bad headset. They sent me a box to ship it back to them. Four weeks later I received the new cable but did not open it as I had no headset to connect it to. Two days later I received a brand new replacement headset with an upgraded version 2 of the cable. Long story not so short, VR is back in business again. I haven't flown since June so I really missed it. My thanks to HP for all their assistance!
  17. Checked with a stopwatch just now. 1 minute and 59 seconds to load.
  18. I saw this yesterday. It describes transfering MSFS from one computer to another. I don't know if this helps.
  19. At least Asobo is responding and trying to fix things. Some developers would tell you to pound sand.
  20. I don't care what you believe, or don't believe. I stand by my statement.
  21. Johnny I agree with you 100%. How about these people ask for help rather than making a statement. These people need to make their statement on the FS9 forum. We want to help people. Not having to read their diatribe.
  22. I, also have had no problems running this simulator. I have had only one CTD since Christmas when I received this software as a Christmas gift. And that was in January. It has been very stable for me but I have an above average computer with a nice online bandwidth. Maybe that has something to do with your experience. People trying to run this software on less than adequate computer hardware/and or internet connection speeds .
  23. I agree totally. I think this forum is for seeking help. Not making proclamations. Make your announcements elsewhere. Perhaps in the FS9 forum.
