  1. As the involvement of VR Headsets has been infused in this conversation, my birthday present was an Oculus Rift S which I had to pay $800 for it in April. It works great in all the flight sims I have purchased. There is some screen door effects with the Rift S but overall I like how it looks. When the HP Reverb 2 price comes down to a reasonable price, I will buy it.
  2. If you don't mind spending some extra money, you can get the "Triple Head To Go" by Matrox. That is what I have used for triple monitor cockpit views for years. And it works perfectly in MSFS 2020. It stretches the cockpit view across a 3 monitor system without any distortions. The only down side is it costs around $250. Fortunately, I purchased it about 12 or so years ago for $150, which was outrageous back then. It works great with MSFS 2020 or any other flight simulation. No distortions or anything. It is available at Amazon. I would get the digital version if you are looking for one.
  3. Unfortunately, as I have seen all throughout the internet, spelling and punctuation, even sentences starting with a capital letter seem to be lacking. It makes it harder to read and understand what was said. But this example is by far not the worst that is presented elsewhere. I, myself, am far from the scholarly type but I do enjoy correct spelling and punctuation (and all the letters included in the words) example "the" missing the letter "y" in they". Just look at other web sights to see what I mean. At least I understand what this person is trying to say. And they say it fairly well!!
  4. I figured it out. I didn't have my audio device selected correctly. Works fine after setting it to my Realtek Device.
  5. I tried an IFR flight using the built in ATC in P3DV4.5 hf3 yesterday. I only get ATC text messages and no voice. I double checked and an ATC voice is selected , the sounds are all set but still no voice. Anyone else experiencing this?
  6. I have discovered an import/export feature for key bindings. Just assign keyboard functions to your joystick buttons and export to save the settings. You can save multiple configurations. Then import as needed.
  7. Thank you for your response. I have downloading that software. However I am having trouble finding the key variables until you showed me where to find them. You have very helpful unlike others who like to blame and criticize people for their lack of knowledge. You are why people come to this forum. To get answers. There are no stupid questions because no one knows everything. Again I appreciate your answer. It helped me alot. And as some peoples response to "just search the internet" is not an answer. I will search the internet 1st but sometimes I won't find the answer so I come her to ask the question. And most people here are very helpful-some not so.
  8. I agree. In my industry (automotive repair) management didn't even know where or how to put gas in their own vehicles, let alone have any clue of automobiles or repairing (and servicing) them. They would put together impossible procedures and steps that nobody could do and detracted from anything getting done. They had us doing everything except working on the vehicle, then complain that vehicles aren't getting done. Duh!!! It seems if you fail at everything else, have no skills or any product knowledge of what your company is doing, you get put into management!!!
  9. About time the scammers are getting scammed! Wow, $10K? I think I will keep my 2080ti video card a little while longer.
  10. Thank you for your reply. I will do that for now.
  11. Good Luck finding the new generation of Nvidia Graphics Cards (the 3080) I watched a review of those cards and it was stated they were all sold out to scalpers who then end up putting them up on auction sights to double or triple their investment. Also watch out as in that same review it was uncovered that many of the card manufacturers used cheaper versions of power capacitors that cannot handle the load so it crashes the computer. It was also stated the Founder Series of the 3080 uses more expensive components (including those capacitors), while making the video card more expensive, it functions way better.
  12. Just a quick question. Every time I fire up P3DV4.5 I find my Alpha Flight Yoke and my Logitech Flight Throttle Quadrant button and axis assignments have changed. I assign them through the OPTIONS-KEY ASSIGNMENTS in the simulator. Is there something I am doing wrong? Are they not saved automatically after assignment or do I have to do something to save them? Side note: has anyone moved to FS2020 and then switched back to P3D, or maybe use both now?
  13. I have a whole bunch of GoFlight Modules. Haven't used them in years since I moved onto Open Cockpit Hardware for my full size 737-800 cockpit.
  14. It just states it is for P3D, not version specific.
  15. I have v1.41r1 and the simulator states I have the latest version. Will I still be able to update to 11.5?
  16. I use PFPX and it's available here at the Flightsim store.
  17. Thank you so much for your response. I have 2TB's of storage so that won't be a problem. I will give your recommendation a try. Again, thank you for you answer.
  18. It's no big deal anymore. When I start seeing the colorful squiggly lights I immediately sit down or pull over if driving and let it go through it's cycle of about 20 minutes or so then I move on with my day. My doctor had no idea what was going on with me until I looked it up on the internet. Then I showed him and he then understood. I thought I had a brain tumor, but no, just visual migraines. I had the painful migraines about 30 years ago but they went away and were replaced with the visuals. So I can relate to your pain. I did purchase some computer glasses and they work great! They are not cheap either. I think I paid $50 US currency for them but I love them. They seem to have different focal distances depending on where you look through them (computer screen, keyboard, paperwork you're typing from, etc). Give them a try. They may help.
  19. I have X-Plane 11 and was wondering how to update to 11.5? If I understand correctly, all I need to do is run X-Plane and a notice will pop up about updating. Is this correct? I have XP running all day for 3 days but did not receive a notice. Is there any other way to update without a complete uninstall, download the complete updated version to reinstall?
  20. How interesting. I get visual migraines all the time. Very colorful and it blinds me for 20 minutes or so but no pain. It's very interesting when this happens while flight simming or worse, when I'm driving my car on the highway! Anyway, I like to make flights that I have been on in real life so I try to recreate those experiences. I don't have MS2020 yet but when I do, I hope there will be a large depository of freeware scenery to add to it.
  21. I am waiting for a few more updates before I dive into the new MSFS. I might also wait to see if the 3rd Party developers start to develop for this simulator as that would be a very positive sign as to the shelf life of this product. I would like to see new addon sceneries, airports, etc, to improve on what Microsoft has built as stock MSFS2020. I think the 3rd party developers can do an excellent job of creating aircraft with better flight models. When they do, I will purchase this software. I can't wait for MSFS2020 to mature into the flight sim we are looking for.

  23. It sounds like this is a twenty second century software (as opposed to the twenty first century) and people are not used to using it as it is so modern and people are used to older style menu's, etc. I don't own MSFS202 yet. The reason I have not purchased it yet is because of all these posts about it. I am going to wait awhile to take the plunge into MSFS2020. I would like to see a majority of the bugs to be worked out first before I spend my money. Hopefully, in a year after initial release.
  24. I agree with P.e.g.s.u.s. 3rd party stores need to make the profit off their software rather than Microsoft taking their cut of it. I may be wrong, but if you have to go to the Microsoft store exclusively to purchase add-ons, that might affect how 3rd party software developers might not want to participate in it due to higher than normal monetary charges (mafia style) that decrease the developers profits. I may be wrong (if I am, please correct me) but this is what it sounds like to me.
  25. Why all the hate, people? Can't we all get along here? Let's just try to be productive and help people in need of answers instead of calling everyone names. All opinions are welcome but please be respectful of all the members. We are all simmers here so let's try to be nice.
