  1. I received a notification, that somebody quoted me in a post. But: when I click on the link, I get the message, that I do not have permission to view the topic. When I search for the member name, I find him, but not the post. Something to fix?

Memmert is one of the Eastfrisian Islands which developed from an sand dune just high enough to stay dry at normal high tides. It is a protected area for birds, "inhabited" only by a ranger. Kachelotplate is not much more than a sand dune next to Memmert. Memmert and Kachelotplate are covered by the default scenery in a rather poor way. Especially trees are distributed all over the place. In this scenery - trees are removed from the islands and a strange round feature further west (which I tried to hide as good as possible). - some trees are added near the house of the ranger. The scenery is compatible with the "East Frisian Island" scenery version 1.3.0 of Stairport.
  3. Some of the content which was moved to my account ended up as "FS2004 jetliners" instead of "MSFS scenery". Is there a way for me to correct this or do I have to report issues like that to Adrian?

MSFS Scenery - Kassel office complex The Wintershall Dea office building, the neighbouring H4-Hotel (a.k.a Town Hall Hotel) and the town hall itself (the Congress Palais) represent a prominent group of buildings in Kassel's West end. However, they are only poorly represented in the default scenery of the FS2020. This scenery add-on provides replacements for all of them. The first north-south wings of the Wintershall Dea office were build in the mid-fifties of the previous century. Triggered by the ever growing needs for office space, the buildings were extended east-west in later decades. Today the office complex with its almost white surface is a prominent land mark in Kassel's west-end and a protected office building. The H4-Hotel is a building of the 90s and was build together with a extensive refurbishment of the town hall interior. It is directly connected to the town hall. The Town hall is the oldest building of the three, being built between 1911 and 1914 in a neo-classicistic style. With its modern extensions it is today a well accepted congress centre in the heart of Germany. This add-on provides a quite realistic replacement of the office building, the H4-Hotel and the town hall. Working night textures and illuminations are provided in this version. From December 24 to December 27 a special Christmas night lighting is visible when approaching the offices from the West.
  5. I have the same question as douga66 - I have many files. And on top different versions of the same scenery. So should we report files one by one, one by one and only latest versions - or all in one list. On top, I created some intermediate versions just for myself. Therefore I can easily give a list of what I have on my computer, but not necessarily a list of what I uploaded. So, Adrian, it would be nice if you could be a bit more specific, please. Thank you! Other than that I am getting more and more familiar with the new lay-out. Curious to see, what is coming.

MSFS Scenery - Cornish North Coast V3.0.0 The north coast of Cornwall is an impressive rocky coast with hardly any trees. This scenery add-on removes trees of the default scenery from the coast line from Land's End to Zennor and adds models of the remains of old tin mine buildings in the Botallack, Carn Galver, Cape Cornwall and Levant area. MSFS Norddeich (GER) airport modification The Airport of Norddeich is the main airport servicing the islands of Juist and Norderney (the "Inselflieger"). This add-on removes false trees and bushes from the northern end of the airport and adds some kilometre of north sea dikes visible from the runway. I had tried to model the dikes using terra-forming polygons. However the results were not satisfying and were not displayed properly when looking at them from a larger distance. So I modelled the dikes in Blender. By Christian Grimsel

MSFS 2020 Scenery--Warkworth Castle and Coquet Bridge MSFS 2020 Scenery--Warkworth Castle and Coquet Bridge, UK. Warkworth castle is situated in the village of Warkworth in a loop of the river Coquet in the county of Northumberland (England). The Date when the castle was founded, is uncertain. It probably started as a wooden castle on a motte and was extended and modified through the centuries by its various owners. The bridge crossing the river Coquet is a fine example of a multi-span bridge with a defensive gateway. It is of the 14th century and was used for vehicular traffic until the 1960th. It is still open for pedestrians. This scenery replaces the houses of the default scenery with a more realistic castle model and adds the missing fortified medieval bridge, with this new version adding stairs to the main tower. MSFS Scenery--East Frisian Island of Juist 4.0.0 Germany. This add-on performs several corrections to the distribution of vegetation and buildings of the default scenery, adds photo-realistic Domaene Bill and Loog and more detail to the harbor and village. The current update comes in two versions, one for users of the default scenery and one for owners of the East Frisian Islands scenery by Stairport and adds a new building, the water tower and night lights on the dune promenade. Carefully read Readme.txt for details. By Christian Grimsel.

MSFS: (Almost) no trees on Inner Hebrides The Microsoft flight simulator places quite a number of trees on the Inner Hebrides. This add-on scenery removes most of them, except for those places, where there are hints that trees exist. This should be nearer to the real landscape you see when looking at photos or when flying over the Inner Hebrides at low altitudes. Current version includes the isles of Canna, Coll, Eigg, Muck, Rum and Tiree. By Christian Grimsel

MSFS: The catholic parish church in Vellmar: The church was build for the catholic parish "Heilig Geist" (Holy Spirit) in 1976/1977 after an older church at a different site had become too small. Different to many other and especially older churches, the church room has an almost square shape where the benches gather around the altar. The default scenery shows an empty place at the site of the church. This add-on adds a model and provides day and night textures, the latter showing the colourful windows. Photos of the windows taken with kind permission of the parish. By Christian Grimsel

  17. Sorry for not replying earlier, shortly after my initial post the add-on appeared in the list, so I had assumed, the problem was identified and solved. But now, it is the same with my latest post. Selecting "File Library" - "Search Files" and then select "MSFS:MSFS scenery" and a text string like for example "grimsel" shows the latest upload on top of the result list (Date 09-12-2022) Selecting "File Library" - "New Files" - "All new files" also lists the latest upload (a bit deeper in the list, as to be expected) Selecting "File Library" - "New files" - "MSFS" does not include the latest upload. The header "Kassel incineration plant; add-on for MSFS 2020" should be clear enough to identify the upload as MSFS related. I hope, this helps.

MSFS 2020 - Kassel (GER) Sewage Plant Improvement V1.1.0 MSFS 2020 Scenery - Kassel Sewage Plant Improvement, Germany. This scenery add-on adds the three sewage gas towers of the Kassel sewage treatment plant. The egg-shape towers of a height of about 42 m collect gas for the production of electricity and are well visible from the air. This new version corrects the missing gangway connecting the towers and provides general improvements. By Christian Grimsel

MSFS 2020 Scenery--Grebenstein Castle, Germany. Grebenstein Castle is situated on a basalt rock above the town of Grebenstein in N.-Hessia (GER), 2.5 km north of Kassel-Calden airport. It was rather a fortified house than a major castle, but has played its role in the area during medieval times. What is to be seen today are the outer walls of the former palas building. The castle walls and moat are no longer visible. This scenery removes vegetation from the castle site, adds the model of the castle remains and also removes some false water (lake or river) from the valley between the castle and the town center. The castle is illuminated at night time. By Christian Grimsel.

MSFS 2020 Scenery--Kessock Bridge (Scotland) Version 1.1. This scenery models the Kessock bridge at Inverness connecting the town to the north via the A9. It was opened in 1982. In earlier years a ferry would have been available or a round trip around the Beauly Firth would have been necessary. This new version brings modifications to make the scenery compatible to the Orbx commercial Great Britain North scenery. By Christian Grimsel.

MSFS Scenery--Obervellmar Parish Church With Surrounding Buildings. The scenery adds the Obervellmar parish church and surrounding houses. The area - known as Filmare - was first mentioned in 775. Todays late gothic tower with its thick stone walls not only carried the bells of the church (today the oldest is from 1400), but also served for defense purposes. This latest version adds the buildings of the horse and carriage club near the church. By Christian Grimsel.

MSFS 2020 Scenery--Bergshausen Motorway Bridge SE of Kassel. This scenery replaces the default Bergshausen bridge of the A44 at Fuldatal south east of Kassel (Germany) with a custom made model showing the characteristic steel structures supporting the bridge. The current bridge, planned in 1934 and build from 1959 onward is no longer suitable to support modern traffic and will be rebuild further to the south at some time in the future.
