Beautiful morning leaving Flagstaff. After LOTS of hills, finally Chino Valley. Yucca Flats is the next checkpoint (valley) after more hills. Yucca Valley, clouds building, may have to go lower and fight some turbulence. Goose Lake ahead, Needles has to be out there somewhere. Overhead of Needles, three minutes late, darned turbulence. Entering Bristol MOA, better keep head on a swivel. Lots of low and fast out there. There's 29 Stumps to the south. Many fond memories, Big Bear, LA basin soon. Oh the wonderful smoggy LA sprawl, Been years and still looks the same. Santa Monica off the nose, the end is getting close. And the crowd goes wild! Well, maybe no crows, but glad its over. I missed the allusive V0, but happy with the V1. Now to park, shut down, and meet the gang rest of the gang already at the beach. 1 Always Aviate, then Navigate, then Communicate. It was a lot of fun and I am glad that I was invited to participate. Leg 10. Needles CA (KEED) to Hector VOR to Santa Monica Municipal CA (KSMO) 200 miles. Estimated time = 55 minutes. Here is the final picture from this leg, more to follow. Parked at Santa Monica Municipal CA (KSMO). This last leg was the most challenging for a few reasons which will be clear in my report. I will complete my flight reports as soon as I can in flight order. Leg 10. Needles CA (KEED) to Hector VOR to Santa Monica Municipal CA (KSMO) 200 miles. Estimated time = 55 minutes. I built three airfields for FSX for the Silver Spitfire round the world flight (from 2019). There were 3 missing airfields out of the 74 stops on the journey.
