    CFS Douglas A-24 (SBD) Dauntless, Chilean Air Force - Fuerza Aerea de Chile. The A-24 was a USAAF version of the Douglas SBD Dauntless, the most famous US Navy dive bomber of WWII, today also known as "American Stuka". Considered to be obsolete even before the US entered the war, it destroyed more enemy shipping in 1942 than all other aircraft combined. In Chile, in the early 40s, it was used as a dive bomber and ground attack plane, homebased at Grupo No.6, Punta Arenas. FS98 model by Wilbur & Wells Sullivan / Pegasus Aviation Design.     CFS/FS98 Chilean Air Force Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star. The Chilean Air force operated around thirty F-80C delivered from 1958 on, last ones retired from service in 1974. This plane was used by the pilots of "Condores de Plata" aerobatic team, in the sixties. This virtual plane represent the Lockheed F-80 #J-342 with high visibility markings, Grupo No.7, Cerrillos, 1962, yet preserved in the aeronautical museum at Cerrillos. With the help of the Israeli company IAI, the Chilean aviation company ENAER has updated them to Mirage 50CN Pantera standard, including improved avionics and the fitting of canard fins.     CFS Ansaldo S.V.A.5. Chilean Army Air Corps - Aviacion Militar de Chile. The Ansaldo S.V.A. 5 was a sturdy two-seater reconnaissance aeroplane used on this and other duties, in service in the Chilean Army Air Corps in the 1920s. This plane, named "Capitan Pastene", was donated by the resident Italian Colony to the Chilean Army Air Corps in 1921.   12. CFS Chilean Air Force Lockeed T-33 "Silver Star"

    CFS Chilean Air Force Lockeed T-33 "Silver Star". The first four FACH T-33 was acquired new and received the regitration J-314 to J-317, entering service with the Group No. 7, based on Los Cerrillos, on October 1956. In 1959-64 were received nine additional T-33A, former USAF, and two RT-33A. Initially all T-33 were painted in natural aluminium, but in 1967 received a camouflage in four colors: gray/green/earth on upper surface, and light blue on lower surface. In 1967 were moved to the Group No. 12 in Punta Arenas, and scrapped in 1975. Represents the Lockeed T-33A in two different textures: one T-33A FACH #J-317 all silver with shark teeth, Grupo No. 7, Cerrillos, 1962. Two T-33A FACH #J-318 green/gray/earth camouflage, Grupo No. 12, Punta Arenas, 1974. Original model by Mike Hill.   13. CFS Chilean Air Force Junkers Ju-R-42

    CFS Chilean Air Force Junkers Ju-R-42 (Fuerza Aerea de Chile). The Chilean Army Air Corps, (later Chilean Air Force) operated six Junkers R-42 between the years 1926 to 1938, mainly in bomber duties, transport, training, reconnaissance and liaison. On January 1930, the Junkers R-42 registration J-6, equipped with floats and leaded by Air-Commodore Arturo Merino Benitez with Cap. Alfredo Fuentes as co-pilot, reached the city of Punta Arenas (Magallanes Straits), in the first flight from the heartland to the Chilean most southern city, opening the route Santiago-Punta Arenas. The last Junkers R-42 was scrapped in 1938, being replaced in bomber duties by the new german Junkers Ju-86k. Note: The Chilean Air Force was created in 1930. Before, the military planes are operated by Chilean Army Air Corps, with different badges to the current. This virtual model have the old markings with colored roundels instead of national coat.     CFS Chilean Air Force Junkers Ju-F13 (Fuerza Aerea de Chile). The Chilean Army Air Corps (later Chilean Air Force) operated one F-13 and one A-20, single engined, Junkers planes, between the years 1924 to 1926, mainly in bomber duties, transport, training, reconnaissance and liaison. The Junkers F-13, was the first passenger plane in crossing the Andes mountain chain in 1925 (with four passengers), but a few months after crashed in Antofagasta region. Note: The Chilean Air Force was created in 1930. Before, the military planes are operated by Chilean Army Air Corps, with different badges to the current.     CFS Chilean Air Force Junkers Ju-86k (Fuerza Aerea de Chile). The Chilean Air Force operated the Junkers Ju-86k between the years 1938 to 1943, mainly in bomber duties, transport, reconnaissance and liaison. This plane replaced the old and obsolete Junkers R-42 bomber, in service since 1926. The beginning of the World War II in Europe, renders difficult the arrival of spare parts from Germany, and due to the refusal of USA to provide American engines for "German planes", the Ju-86k was scrapped in 1943, being replaced in bomber duties by the AT-6 Texan and B-25 Mitchell.     CFS Chilean Air Force Bristol M.1-c - Fuerza Aerea de Chile. The Chilean Army Air Corps (later Chilean Air force) operated six Bristol M.1-c since 1917, mainly in fighter duties, fighter training, reconnaissance and liaison. This planes was sent to Chile in part of payment by two battleships that were being built for Chile in Great Britain, and confiscated in 1914 for the Royal Navy before be ended, due to the beginning of the hostilities against Germany.     CFS Bristol Bulldog Twin Pack, Finnish Air Force & Spanish Republican Air Force. The Bristol Bulldog Mk II was used by Spanish Republican forces to fight the Nationalist forces in the Spanish Civil War (1936-39), remaining in use until the Battle of Santander, flown mainly by foreign volunteer pilots enlisted in the International Brigades. Bristol Bulldogs MK IV were the first aircraft of the Finnish Air Force to make contact with Soviet bomber and escorting fighter in the opening days of the Winter War (1939-40).
