Start with a factory built Pitts S2S, add stronger wings, build a larger, more powerful motor, add an oversized, custom propeller, increase the sizes of all the control surfaces, reshape the tail, strengthen the fuselage, and re-design the fuel and oil systems and you have what Jim calls the "Bulldog" Pitts S2S. Includes full moving parts, virtual cockpit with transparent canopy and realistic flight dynamics. Designed by Mikko Maliniemi. Flight testing by Jim LeRoy himself. Converted for FS98 works by George Csillag.

FS98/CFS Douglas A-1H Skyraider. This Douglas AD-4NA Skyraider 126922 is painted to represent an A-1H of the VA-176 'Thunderbirds' on the USS Intrepid during 1967. It is an ex US Marine Corps example that later served with the French Air Force in 1960 and the Gabonaise Air Force in 1976. It is currently based in England and can be seen at the IWM's Duxford Airfield where it forms part of The Fighter Collections (TFC's) collection of historic aircraft. It is airworthy and can be seen and heard at Flying Legends and other airshows during the year. Original AFX by Massimo Taccoli. Texture, mods to AFX and FDE by Eddie Allen.

The plane was shown for the first time in the west during ILA '98 Berlin airshow, and western developers were impressed by the capability and performance. Here it is painted in a fictional Aeroflot livery (the plane has still not entered active service). Powered by four turboprop engines with counterrotating propfans. Includes sound files. The Mercury's mission is to relay command signals to USN ballistic missile submarines using very low band radio signals. They replaced the USN's earlier EC-130s in the 80's and 90's. FS98 Mediterranea SIAI Marchetti SF260. The SF260 prototype, F-250, flew for the first time on 15 July 1964. The version was manufactured at first under licence from Aviamilano by SIAI Marchetti and is designated SF260. SIAI Marchetti became the official holder of the certificate and all manufacturing rights. SM has continued to develop both civil and military versions. SF260 is operated by 13 air forces and is used by IAF for basic training, and now is operated by Mediterranea Virtual Airline. Aircraft design by Angelo Moneta. Moving parts by Philippe Boyer.
