FS98 Klemm L.25VE Monoplane. Faster, more powerful competition-variant of the 1928 German sports monoplane by Klemm Leichtflugzeugbau Gmbh. It had a 103 hp Argus As8 8-cyl inverted inline engine, a shorter wingspan, rounded tail surfaces a horn-balanced rudder and an enclosed canopy. Performance was rather impressive, together with a strickingly low fuel consumption. The unit in this release, registration D-1901, achieved second place during the international 1930 Europa Rundflug competition, with starting No. B8. It was designed by Airbus Military, which is part of the EADS Company. The maiden flight took place on 11 December 2009 in Seville, Spain. As of October 2011 there are ordered 174 aircraft from eight nations. Airbus Military is expected to deliver the first aircraft to the French Air Force in early 2013.
