FSX/P3D Braniff International Airways Douglas DC-4. This DC-4, N65145, was bought by Braniff from ex USAAF stock in November 1945. It served Braniff until May 1954 when it was sold to Los Angeles Air Service. It was written off while flying for Wheeler Airlines (Canada) when it crashed near St. Cleophis, Quebec, on November4, 1959. All 5 on board perished. The payware DC-4 by Flight Replicas is needed for this repaint. Textures are DXT5. This repaint was tested on P3Dv3. It should work on FSX & FSX-SE. By Ted Giana.113 downloads

FSX/P3D Braniff International Lockheed L-049 Constellation. Two used L-049 Constellations were purchased by Braniff International from LAV Venezuela in August 1955. They were used on domestic services to four states: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Illinois. They were both eventually sold to Hubert M Covert in 1960 and 1961. This is a repsaint of L-049 N25208. The freeware Lockheed L-049 by Volker Bohme & Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on P3D v3 and should work on FSX & FSX-SE. FSX/P3D Braniff International Airways CV-440-32
FSX/P3D Braniff International Airways CV-440-32. Braniff bought this Convair 440-32 new from the manufacturer on November 20, 1956. It served the carrier for 10 years, before being sold to Allegheny Airlines on September 8, 1966. It was later converted to a CV-580 in July 1967. The freeware CalClassic Convair 340 by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested on P3D V3. It should work on FSX/FSX-SE. This is a model 440-32. However due to the snub nose I used the CV-340 model for this repaint. Be sure to use the CV-340 Cal Classic model, and not the CV-440. By Ted Giana.171 downloads

FSX/P3Dv3 Air Ceylon Douglas DC-3 Circa 1965. This is a repaint of a DC3 in Air Ceylon colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX and P3D v3. Textures are 32 bit dds. Air Ceylon started revenue flights around Sri Lanka and to southern India in 1948 with four Douglas DC-3s acquired from Air India. This repaint is of a DC-3 which was purchased in November 1947 as VP-CAR, but was re-registered on 1 May 1951 as 4R-ACF. It stayed with Air Ceylon until it was sold to the Senegal carrier, SONATRA, in 1969. By Ted Giana.169 downloads

FSX/P3D Air Zaire Douglas DC-4 1971. This is a repaint of the DC-4 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware DC-4 (C-54) V3 by Jens B Kristensen is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32bit DDS. Air Zaire operated 8 DC-4s. These were passed on to the airline by Air Congo, after the name change in 1971. This DC-4, 9Q-CBG was with Air Congo/Air Zaire from 1967 to July 1976, when it was sold to Zaire Aero Service. FSX Lockheed Electra 10A OK-CTB. Textures for the JustFlight Electra 10A. One of two Electras purchased by Bata Shoe of Czechoslovakia in 1937. In 1939 it escaped to England and later served with the RCAF in Canada. After passing through several owners including actress Margaret O'Brien it was fully restored in 2010 and now flies in the Czech Republic in its original scheme and registration. FSX/P3D Ozark Airlines Douglas DC-3 1965
FSX/P3D Ozark Airlines Douglas DC-3 1965. This is a repaint of the DC3 in Ozark Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Ozark Air Lines of Missouri, began scheduled services in 1950 using DC-3s between St. Louis and Chicago. They eventually created a vast route network spreading two-thirds of the USA. The name OZARK is said to derive from the French "Bois Aux Arc" - "Wood of Bows". Incidentally, the Ozarks are highlands that stretch across 5 states in Mid-America. Ozark Airline's logo of the 3 swallows was chosen because the birds are traditional symbols of safe travel and good luck. At the beginning, Ozark flew various pistons such as CV-240s, Martin 404s, and the DC-3s. Turborpop F-27/FH-227Bs were also used. By 1968 all their piston engined airliners were retired, and the FH-227Bs took their routes. Their first jet, a DC-9-10, was delivered in May 1966. Later on they used DC-9-30s, and MD-82s. In 1985 Ozark boasted a huge fleet of DC-9s, and passenger boardings topped the five million mark for the first time. Ozark was progressing very well. However, TWA was none too pleased with the competition from Ozark, so after applying heavy pressure on the airline from Missouri, they purchased it in 1986 and integrated it into their network. FSX/P3D Aero Virgin Islands DC-3 c.1983
FSX/P3D Aero Virgin Islands DC-3 c.1983. This is a repaint of the Douglas DC3 in Aero Virgin Islands colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aero Virgin Islands began operations in the spring of 1977. The fleet was basically all DC-3s. Their route network consisted of flights to St. Thomas, and Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and San Juan, in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico-based airline Prinair was the company’s main competitor until their bankruptcy in 1984. Prinair’s failure gave the opportunity for Aero Virgin to be more involved in the region. However, the airline faltered as its aging fleet of DC-3s got many problems, which led to them virtually being unusable. Then, the total destruction of the DC-3 fleet occurred when Hurricane Hugo struck in September 1989. This is a repaint of N28346, which was destroyed in that Hurricane. Textures are 32bit DDS. FSX/P3D Ethiopian Airlines Douglas DC-3 1989. This is a repaint of the DC3 in Ethiopian Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) V3. by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. A whopping 39 DC-3s served Ethiopian Airlines over the years. More than any other type. This repaint is of ET-ABY which joined the carrier in 1966 and stuck around till its retirement in 1991.
