FSX/P3D Air Zaire Douglas DC-4 1971. This is a repaint of the DC-4 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware DC-4 (C-54) V3 by Jens B Kristensen is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32bit DDS. Air Zaire operated 8 DC-4s. These were passed on to the airline by Air Congo, after the name change in 1971. This DC-4, 9Q-CBG was with Air Congo/Air Zaire from 1967 to July 1976, when it was sold to Zaire Aero Service. FSX Lockheed Electra 10A OK-CTB. Textures for the JustFlight Electra 10A. One of two Electras purchased by Bata Shoe of Czechoslovakia in 1937. In 1939 it escaped to England and later served with the RCAF in Canada. After passing through several owners including actress Margaret O'Brien it was fully restored in 2010 and now flies in the Czech Republic in its original scheme and registration. FSX/P3D Ozark Airlines Douglas DC-3 1965. This is a repaint of the DC3 in Ozark Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Ozark Air Lines of Missouri, began scheduled services in 1950 using DC-3s between St. Louis and Chicago. They eventually created a vast route network spreading two-thirds of the USA. The name OZARK is said to derive from the French "Bois Aux Arc" - "Wood of Bows". Incidentally, the Ozarks are highlands that stretch across 5 states in Mid-America. Ozark Airline's logo of the 3 swallows was chosen because the birds are traditional symbols of safe travel and good luck. At the beginning, Ozark flew various pistons such as CV-240s, Martin 404s, and the DC-3s. Turborpop F-27/FH-227Bs were also used. By 1968 all their piston engined airliners were retired, and the FH-227Bs took their routes. Their first jet, a DC-9-10, was delivered in May 1966. Later on they used DC-9-30s, and MD-82s. In 1985 Ozark boasted a huge fleet of DC-9s, and passenger boardings topped the five million mark for the first time. Ozark was progressing very well. However, TWA was none too pleased with the competition from Ozark, so after applying heavy pressure on the airline from Missouri, they purchased it in 1986 and integrated it into their network. FSX/P3D Aero Virgin Islands DC-3 c.1983. This is a repaint of the Douglas DC3 in Aero Virgin Islands colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aero Virgin Islands began operations in the spring of 1977. The fleet was basically all DC-3s. Their route network consisted of flights to St. Thomas, and Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and San Juan, in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico-based airline Prinair was the company’s main competitor until their bankruptcy in 1984. Prinair’s failure gave the opportunity for Aero Virgin to be more involved in the region. However, the airline faltered as its aging fleet of DC-3s got many problems, which led to them virtually being unusable. Then, the total destruction of the DC-3 fleet occurred when Hurricane Hugo struck in September 1989. This is a repaint of N28346, which was destroyed in that Hurricane. Textures are 32bit DDS. FSX/P3D Ethiopian Airlines Douglas DC-3 1989. This is a repaint of the DC3 in Ethiopian Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) V3. by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. A whopping 39 DC-3s served Ethiopian Airlines over the years. More than any other type. This repaint is of ET-ABY which joined the carrier in 1966 and stuck around till its retirement in 1991. FSX/P3D Zambia Airways DC-3 Circa 1966. This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Zambia Airways colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Zambia Airways acquired 3 DC-3s from Central African Airways, and another one from East African Airways. This particular repaint depicts DC-3 VP-YKH, which was a Central African Airways registration. It eventually got a Zambian registration - 9J-RFX. It was with the carrier from 1964 to 1974, when it was retired. Textures are 32bit dds. FSX/P3D Fred Olsen Douglas DC-3 1960. This is a repaint of the DC3 in Fred Olsen Lines colors. The freeware DC-3 (C-47) by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. This is a repaint of the venerable DC-3, LN-IAS, which served with Fred Olsen Lines from 1952 to 1961. Fred Olsen operated a total of five DC-3s, of which one was leased, and another two which were involved in accidents, one of which was fatal. Textures are DXT5. The Starliner was the last of the long-range piston-engine airliners. Providing accommodation for twenty-six first-class and forty-five tourist-class passengers, N7301C "Star of Wyoming" entered service with TWA in September 1957. FSX/P3D/FS2004 Trinidad and Tobago Air Services DC-6B 1978. This is a repaint of the Douglas DC-6B in Trinidad and Tobago Air Services - TTAS colors. The freeware CalClassic DC-6B by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. Trinidad and Tobago is an island nation of the southeastern West Indies, in the Caribbean. It consists of two main islands — Trinidad and Tobago — and several smaller islands. Caribbean United Airlines Ltd. was the main carrier operating a service from Trinidad, the main island, to Tobago, which is off to the North of Trinidad. However, Caribbean United Airlines - established in 1970, failed as an airline and stopped operations in 1974. The government of Trinidad and Tobago consequently formed TTAS at Port of Spain on June 12, 1974 to take over the Port of Spain to Tobago service suspended upon the failure of Caribbean United Airlines. With a pair of Douglas DC-6Bs, TTAS, became the second national carrier, and undertook air bridge flights to Tobago, as well as routes to Grenada, Martinique, and St. Lucia. The DC-6Bs were replaced between 1977 and 1978 by HS-748s. After a short lifespan of 6 years, TTAS was taken over and merged into the main Trinidad and Tobago national carrier - British West Indies Airways, in 1980. Textures are 32bit bmp.
