I have the Rikooo TDS 787 Mega pack installed, it has been fine until today, here is what I get when I try to run the plane (AAL 787-9) I havn't made any changes to my sim, and can't seem to get things back either.

You have DX10 enabled? Disable it.

Mark - That is strange, but, I had a similar occurrence of that. See my post of "my aircraft entering the twilight zone." I can't say for sure my aircraft was TDS, but, it was a freeware download which I could not figure out why it was happening, so, I deleted it and moved on to another and no more issues that type of happening.

Now, just recently, I have been downloading TDS Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, both the -8 and -9, and I can't find one that will allow the automatic deployment of the ground spoilers. I have given up, and I did keep a nice TDS American Airlines 787-9, but I have to manually deploy the ground spoilers, no biggy, but why couldn't the developer get it right? Anyway, it is a nice flier and I will keep it for the time being, as I have plenty others that will cooperate!

I will be watching your post to see if someone else can offer an explanation as to why this is happening. Good luck!

Rick

I've had this happen with models which have reflective surfaces built-in and textures with alpha channels which are too dark/solid black.

I made the alpha channels lighter for the wings, fuselage, tail and engines and that fixed it.

It was the DX10, for some odd reason it was enabled. Thanks everyone... AD

+1 Be wary of downloads that have "auto" installers. They tend to overwrite things that don't need overwriting. ;)

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

If you would like to be able to use DX10 AND see the older aircraft and all of it's benefits, get Steve's DX10 Scenery Fixer...

With the Fixer any scenery and aircraft built with the FS9 SDK will appear normally. Without the fixer they will appear untextured at night and in the case of aircraft during the day also.
