  1. Well, your in luck, because I had the same exact problem. So I changed the ATIS a few KHz so there was no overlap. Go into the library here and search for file name: ybmc_av.zip I've also been meaning to update YBSU and I have the voice files created for it, but I have to read just how to remove a default airport so I can do it, but I keep putting it on the back burner.
  2. Well how be. Kinda like an ASIC.
  3. There really should be a tool created that scans your entire FS directory and matches hashes with all the files finding out if one is invalid or not. If it finds one then a message pops up saying what cab file on the disk contains it. VisualNeo might work for this. Though, FSX does have a type of repair install, but I've read that in order to use it you have to uninstall SP 1 and 2.
  4. Just download the older driver. Then in safe mode on your computer use Revo uninstaller and uninstall the current driver. Reboot and install the old driver. Then go into the GPU control panel and turn off automatic updates. You may also want to read this and make damn sure Winblows doesn't mess with your drivers as well. https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/disable-automatic-driver-downloads-on-windows-10 https://www.ghacks.net/2015/07/21/how-to-disable-driver-updates-from-windows-update/ Then after that you may want to stop telemetry from going to Nvidia. To do so add the following to your hosts file: # nVidia Telemetry 127.0.0.1 gfwsl.geforce.com 127.0.0.1 gfe.geforce.com 127.0.0.1 telemetry.nvidia.com 127.0.0.1 gfe.nvidia.com 127.0.0.1 telemetry.gfe.nvidia.com 127.0.0.1 events.gfe.nvidia.com ::1 gfwsl.geforce.com ::1 gfe.geforce.com ::1 telemetry.nvidia.com ::1 gfe.nvidia.com ::1 telemetry.gfe.nvidia.com ::1 events.gfe.nvidia.com #Geforce Experience installed 127.0.0.1 gfwsl.geforce.com ::1 gfwsl.geforce.com Your hosts file is located in system32/drivers/etc or you can run Everything.exe and type in hosts and it will find it in an instant. https://www.voidtools.com/downloads/ You can optionally install Notepad ++ and then right click hosts and open with Notepad ++. Also chose properties of the hosts file and always mark it as read only after editing. I shouldn't have to tell you that when you install a driver or even software for that matter is that you should select custom install and pick and chose what gets installed. In the case of the Nvidia driver, don't install GeForce Experience or what ever it's called. And if an option exists to search for automatic updates, uncheck that.
  5. Well, goes to show you how much I know about Macs.
  6. Looks like your SSD uses the same software as mine. You can get it at this direct link: https://www.micron.com/-/media/client/global/documents/products/software/storage-executive-software/storageexecutive_windows.exe From here: https://www.micron.com/products/solid-state-drives/storage-executive-software You have to scroll down the page. Why it's way down there I don't know. In the software chose the over provisioning option.
  7. For a moment there I saw a graphic anomaly. So it could be with your GPU. Did you install any add-ons prior to this happening? Is this Windows 10? Sometimes GPU drivers can be updated automatically by Windows or the GPU software its self. You may have a bad driver. Look for a driver that is withen the time frame of when there was no frame problem. You shouldn't use high FPS settings. You want to give the CPU room to breath. Use a setting of 25-30 only and no more. I use 25 myself and your eye won't see a difference.
  8. The issue with WOAI traffic is that the flight plans are in FS2004 format and that's why you should use AIFP to convert them to FSX format which renders the flight plans BGL correctly. If you don't do that and have a mixture of FS2004 traffic and FSX traffic then this could be a source of problems. If you did convert the WOAI plans to FSX format, I'd make sure that was done properly. And also make sure there are no other flight plans in your FSX directory that are in FS2004 format.
  9. It could have something to do with your FSX.cfg file. It's under the appdata folder which is hidden. An easy way to find it is to run Everything.exe and in the search enter fsx.cfg. You can edit the FSX.cfg file with notepad or Notepad ++. But you might try backing up your current FSX.cfg file to the desktop and then deleting the one in your appdata folder. Then launch FSX again and it will rebuild. Go back in and setup all your options. Quit FSX and then start it again and hopefully your settings should be the same. https://www.voidtools.com/downloads/
  10. What exactly is an external GPU? Are you referring to a dedicated GPU over your GPU that's in the CPU? Also called integrated graphics? If so, then a dedicated GPU should help I guess. Not sure since I don't run P3D. I know in FSX or FS2004, a GPU is largely null and void when it comes to performance since both of those Sims are CPU orientated. But in P3D I guess a GPU can be more utilized due to their upgraded code.
  11. Thanks for the explanation. Another question: Does GEX interfere with ORBX global or is it compatible?
  12. I don't recall a truck being called a boot. And 18 wheeler perhaps.
  13. I got 'the server is too busy' too. So it's either their server or they are under an active DDoS.
  14. You can really find some good bargains at yard sales and second hand stores.
  15. Wanna hear about a real yard sale steal? I went to a yard sale in 2010 and three before my eyes glistening in the sun were a CH Products yoke and pedals. I immediately asked the guy how much he wanted for them. "$25 for both", he said. I was like wow! So I immediately bought them but at the same time had my doubts if they'd even work. I even heard him mutter to his wife, "glad those are gone." So I really thought I bought some lemons. Well, I came home, plugged them in and set my button assignments in FSX and how be damned if they didn't work. No issues thus far that I know of. I've been using them now flaw free for about 9 years. Now that's a steal! LOL
  16. Seems indicative of a GPU issue if you ask me. Are you or have you messed with graphic settings? What about the graphic options in the Sim its self? what does dxdiag say both in 32 and 64 bit modes? Have the latest GPU driver? Sometimes rolling back the driver will help. For me personally, once a driver works, I seldom ever change it.
  17. I'm not entirely sure seen as how SSDs have improved over the years, but depending on your SSD manufacture it may come with their own program tool to create a spar area so to speak for this very purpose. I have a Crucial SSD and it has this tool which I have used. Once done the computer won't write to that area. It would probably be prudent to take advantage of that. You can also use Crystal Disk Info to check drive health. For most (but not all) SSDs, I've noticed Crystal Disk Info give a health percentage. https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/ What is the brand of SSD do you have now?
  18. What is the chief difference between Ultimate Terrain X and Ground Environment X other than one being mostly North America? I'd like to cover the world since I fly all over the world. And it looks like Ground Environment X is my ticket.
  19. Doesn't PMDG have an MD-80 or 11? If so they probably have a FedEx livery.
  20. Actually, how do I find the right hall effect sensor for the right potentiometer I have in my yoke or pedals? Is there a number equivalent? Or is it just my voltage and amp spec or range?
  21. I have several pages with that hall effect sensor. Do you have a link to just the one? Also, do I need that 3D printed casing or can I install that sensor as is. I think I could, but not sure.
  22. So that's what the inside of my yoke looks like. Where do you buy the hall effect sensors you're using from? In the other thread you indicated something about 3D printing?
  23. My sincere condolences to the friends and family. Seems like a lot of people have passed recently.
