  1. I was flying with Live Weather activated and using the Longitude which should have been bouncing around like a cork. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. With storms battering the uk over the last week i have been busy trying to get a feel of what pilots landing at Heathrow have been up against. I must say that MSFS doesn't seem to do very well at simulating the effect of large gusts of wind on aircraft. Although i was having to crab a lot due to the crosswind at EGLL RWY27R and left, i didn't feel any gusts causing a wing to drop or a sudden increase in airspeed and it was all too easy to land. Anyone else feel the same? Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  3. Me too. I only use it to activate sceneries/airports i intend to fly in that session. In the hope of (rather than any knowledge of) reducing the load time of the sim. That said, i often forget to de-activate before starting the sim [emoji849] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  4. Hi all, For the first time ever in a flight simulator directed me into a mountain on an ifr flight. The flight was from Las Vegas McCarran to Heber City airport. I was cruising at 41,000 in the Longitude and was gradually told to descend. It got to a point where it didn't seem to be sure whether to clear me to 12000ft (would have been better) or 10,000ft. I followed the instructions from atc all the way down to 8700ft at which point it was apparent that I was going to be too low on approach to Heber City. I stuck with it to see if it would correct but I got so close to a mountain before it suddenly tried to get me over it that I had to take the aircraft off autopilot to quickly avoid hitting. Luckily I did get around/over the mountain just in time and eventually landed safely at Heber. Also I was lucky that it was a cloudless day or things could have turned out worse. I have never had this before and was surprised that the sim got it so wrong. Watch your backs guys, it's out to get us! Cheers Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  5. Sorry, this is in the Longitude and i am referring to the small touchscreen control panels. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  6. Ok, sorted this one out. The MFD map zoom using the assignment that i originally used works as long as i have the small control screen (not sure what they are called )set on the home page or the map settings page. It doesn't operate if you have the "Audio and Radios" page active. Hope this helps someone. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. Hi all, I have recently "upgraded" to the WT version of the g3000 rather than using the default. My MFD map zoom assignment that was working ok with the default version no longer works. Does anyone using the Mobiflight WASM module know what the correct event name is to enable me to re-assign my cockpit's rotary encoder. I was using "Mobiflight G1000 MFD map zoom " Thanks Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  8. I must be getting old and confused. I thought the idea of Microsoft signing up the Working Title team was so that their work could be integrated into the base sim's aircraft. Ita a pain having to wait for a mod update each time Asobo break the sim with their own update. Rant over [emoji16] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Cheer Tim, out of interest do you use FSUIPC7? The reason I ask is that due to the number of controllers in my cockpit I cant use the built in MSFS controls assignments page. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. Answered this myself.... My version of the Dakfly longitude mod was out of date. Now updated and all of the cas warning messages have disappeared. I am now left with another problem however in that the com frequencies are no longer shown on the MFD. ? I only see the active com frequency on the PFD. P.s I dont use the g3000 mod as I seem unable to get the controls mapped to my home cockpit.( haven't tried too hard though tbh). So I am using the stock version. Any help appreciated. 11. Hi all, sorry if this has already been covered but I haven't flown the Longitude for a while. I see that we now have operational cabin pressure. Today when climbing i got an altitude pressure warning. I have assigned two keyboard keys. One for increase, the other for decrease. My question is this...if i click the increase pressure key will it cancel when it reaches the optimum pressure as i dont see a way to stop it ? Same for decreasing. 13. Hi guys, For anyone who downloaded the original this is just a heads up on a new version. Since the original I have updated the ferris wheels, seating, decking and Twister ride animation. cheers Stinger
  14. I have now released an update (v1.1) to address various issues. all the best Stinger
  15. In my home cockpit I use use many controllers not recognised by MSFS. 13 in fact. I use FSUIPC7 as previously suggested and do all my assignments in the same software. FSUIPC7 also allows you to assign many things that are not available in the controls menu within the sim. I wouldn't be able to run my home cockpit without it. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  16. And very good it was too! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  17. Hi all, Just another shameless plug for my latest upload. This time it's the turn of Clacton Pier, Essex, UK. This has been my most ambitious project to date due to the array of funfair assets on Clacton Pier. Check out the animated funfair ride. I need a rest now! Enjoy Stinger

  22. If you dont need a PC for anything else and have a limited budget you could go down the Xbox route. The only limitation as I see it is the restrictions on only using addons that you can get via the inbuilt marketplace. It may keep you going until more funds become available? Good luck Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  23. Hi all, Just a heads up on my latest release. It should be available here on flightsim.com once the files have been vetted. This package will override the pier that is in the ORBX Great Britain Central addon. It is important not to rename the folder of my package as it may no longer override the ORBX pier. I hope you agree that this is an upgrade of the payware offering. I have purposefully sped up the funicular railway in order to make it more easily seen. The passengers will have to be quick when they disembark ;-) Enjoy Stinger
  24. Hi, can someone please remind me how to turn off the blue highlight that appears on the cockpit controls when you move the mouse over them. I saw a thread for this a while back but now can't find it. Not flown for a while as i have been busy scenery designing. Thanks Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
