  1. I have had this. I got rid of my addon liveries. They have probably been sorted out with an update. Check your addon designer for updates. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. Apologies, I meant to say Working Title, not Fly by wire. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  3. Do you use the Fly by wire addon? If not then i would suggest that you install it as it's much better. I dont use those aircraft but all is working ok in the Longitude Regards Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  4. What descent rate are you using once atc have told you to start the descent? I have found 1800ft per min to work well for the Longitude. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  5. That's interesting. Almost certainly at the Azure server end I suspect and probably suggests there's nothing we can do about it. I might try running with zero online traffic on my next flight just to check it though. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  6. Out of interest what percentage do you have your online traffic set to? Mine is at 40 for aircraft, lower for road traffic, 40 for ships. Thanks for that info , i hadn't considered that as a cause. I may have to experiment a bit. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. I did a little experiment a few days ago. Instead of firing up the sim soon after booting up the pc I waited until the hard drive activity light had gone quiet. The sim booted up a lot quicker. That said it's not a fast startup by any stretch. Something we have to live with. As you say, chill out and get a brew while you're waiting. I haven't noticed any addon in particular which causes this. These things normally get picked up quickly by the downloaders. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  8. My azure atc has been dropping out on almost every flight lately with a little warning that shows up on screen. My scenery is still loading ok so i was wondering why that atc would drop? My internet connection is approx 60-70 mbps and when it happens my hub lights are nominal. Any ideas? Cheers Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. No pics but i took a nice flight around Washington DC today. The first time that i have flown there in a flight sim even though i have been simming since the 1980's.(embarrassing!) Great bit of sightseeing. I took off from Ronald Reagan and finished over at Dulles. I couldn't see any aircraft on the ground at Andrews which I thought a bit odd, but that may be down to my personal traffic settings. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. I doubt it but it's more a question for the hardware forum where there are some very knowledgeable people that may be able to confirm it. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  11. No crashes for me. I do have a decent rig though. Only 60 mb download speed on my broadband. Intel 10700 Nvidia 2080ti Ssd drives. 32mb ram Sorry that you are experiencing crashes. Frustrating. My suggestions... Empty your community folder. Try running on minimum settings (just to prove if that's the issue) Check CPU and video card temperatures. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  12. The effect of crosswind is much more noticeable than FSX, which was negligible. Prop torque too. My advice would be to try a take off in a jet with zero crosswind before altering any rudder settings. Good luck Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  13. Your second screenshot looks like my MSFS clouds so something is definitely wrong with your setup. I would have thought that your hardware is capable enough to show good clouds but with other settings turned down a bit. To try to see what's going on I would try playing with the MSFS settings with clouds on ultra. Also it might be worth going into the Nvidia control panel and set the cards' settings to default. (My 2080ti is set on default) Annoying when you are not seeing what most others are. But hopefully a bit of perseverance will sort it out for you. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  14. You could try an external hardware interface like FSUIPC7 to get over the non-compatability issue. I use fsuipc to integrate my home cockpit which is based upon Leo Bodnar interface cards. Works a dream. Best speak to someone to check it'll work before spending money on anything though. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  15. As Steve says, if you have multiple screens then msfs has the ability to drag g1000 cockpit instruments onto separate screens. I'm not sure if this can be done with steam guages though. I asign the hat switch on my yoke to pan around, which is the best option if you have no track ir or separate screens. In the settings you can adjust the speed of the panning movement. Another way to quicky look at another part of the cockpit is to set up custom views. Then it is just a matter if a quick keyboard command to switch to another view. Good luck, things might be a bit frustrating at first as you set things up as it is quite different from previous sims but most will agree that it is worth the effort. We are always willing to help you get there. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  16. Yes, please list your settings and hardware. The first screenshot looks like mine looks if I have the clouds set to LOW. The second screenshot looks ok but I appreciate that we are looking at a screenshot and not the moving image that your are seeing. I am generally happy with the clouds in MSFS, though I do see edge pixellation at times which would be nice if Asobo or REX could sort out. Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  17. Each time I hear someone complaining about MSFS I like it because it reminds me of how much I am enjoying the SIM. When they complain about the weather, it reminds me of how I enjoy watching the clouds grow and dissipate, and how I enjoy seeing the clouds shadows cast over the ground. Also how I enjoy seeing the white horses on the oceans when it is windy, and the grass swaying in the wind when taxiing. When they complain about the flight physics, it reminds me of how I love the turbulence that hits you when you fly over mountainous areas, and how the aircraft floats in ground effect if you come in too fast. How I love certain aircraft spinning when you stall them and how you can recover the spin as in real life. When they complain about the menu system, it reminds me of how clunky FSX was in comparison and how modern the new UI feels. When they complain about updates, it reminds me of how great it is that the SIM is constantly evolving to be something better, and how great it is to get new content for free. When they complain about setting up their controllers, it reminds me of the pages of code I had to write to make FSX work correctly with my home cockpit setup and, in comparison, how easy it has been to setup it up with MSFS. I live opposite a current British Airways Airbus A350 pilot. He comes to visit occasionally and when I showed him my SIM he was blown away by how accurate it was in comparison to real life. And he wasn't just being nice, before showing him I asked him to evaluate it against what he does daily for his job, and to not pull any punches if he felt it was crap. So, in short, call me a fan boy if you will, but.......MSFS is good enough for me . Stinger Sent from my SM-T813 using Tapatalk
  18. Got the answer to my prayers. With an app called "Windy" one can search by ICAO code. It will show you the current weather and you can also compare it to the Meteoblue forecast. This is for live weather flying of course. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  19. Yes, i need to find the ATIS frequency first though. I'll try to find it as Tim suggests. [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  20. When you are closing in on the arrival airport how can we check atis to see what the wind is doing. I know atc will tell you when getting clearance to land but is it possible to find out before that? I don't see atis listed as an atc option when in flight. Cheers Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  21. I loved my old FSX and FS9 before that, but for me they just dont cut it anymore. Each to their own though. It's great that we have the choice. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  22. Yesterday I flew from FACT to FAPE, Cape Town to Port Elizabeth in South Africa. Flown in the Longitude, I can recommend this flight as there are some great scenic features en-route. I am currently flying back to Cape Town. Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  23. Sorry to hear that. I use FSUIPC7 so perhaps that is the reason that I can still use mine ok. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  24. I guess you are referring to a specific aircraft? I use the Longitude and I am able to arm the spoilers correctly. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  25. I fly the Cessna Citation with a couple of mods(Working Title G3000 and the Dakfly mod) . I find it flies like a dream and follows the AP and flightplan well. I can't say about other long haul jets because I don't use them. There's probably mods for these too and although we shouldn't have to mod them to make them work well , if the mods are there, why not try them, if it saves having to wait for Asobo to catchup. Happy flying Stinger Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
