Have my experience with our Tristar. It had the greatest autopilot and even better autoland. Few runways had to be repaved because the Tristar with autoland always hit the runway in exactly the same spot. Great aircraft and we had few in our fleet. Yes I am ex British Airways.

Hi, FS2004 Latest Files under Popular Downloads drop down do not show the FS2004 latest files. My latest FS2004 download is not there?

Hi everyone, I am working on a convenient MFD display window for 2D panels with selection to select HSI, Airports, NDBs, CRS, WPTs, and VORs. I think it would be usefull for all and easly installed. Although I have changed it a lot, I have based it on some of Ken Mitchel,s gauge xml's. Just curious if I need Ken's permission. If yes anyone knows if Ken is still around to OK it and how to contact him? Thanks,

Exactly, thanks for clarifying my point PhrogPhlyer. Basically after removing the site Landing Pages drop down, month or so ago, the FS2004 Landing Pages just dissapeared. Also in general I do not think the "Discussion" drop down is a place for Landing Pages? But so be it, as long as FS2004 is added.

Hi, Would be great to include FS2004 within the Landing Pages section under the Discussion drop-down. (All the sims are there, except FS2004?) FS2004 Landing Pages used to be under the Landing Pages drop-down, which is no longer there. Best Regards

Hi Nels, maybe there should be a note for uploaders to start the file description by the FS version. I believe it was there in the previous web uploads.

Hi PhrogPhlyer, Good and valid points. All my uploads were in previous site, and I recall there was a note to start the title text with the FS version, which I always did. BUT have just noted that when uploading here. there is a drop-down selecting the sim type and section and the Upload cannot continue only when this selection is made. That is great BUT when you see some newly aploaded aircraft (see pictures) the title does not mention the sim version - some do but many dont. Perhaps the drop=down info should filter into these titles.

Would be great if there was a feature in uploads where the uploaders MUST indicate, which FS is the upload for (FS2004, FSX, FS 2020). This should show in the selection first. Many new uploads just specify the aircraft info and one must download it to see wich FS is it for. Sometimes it does not even show and experimenting is necessary.

Thanks for all the input gents. Very useful. There appear to be many possible alternatives how to start flying. Mine is just one of many, which appeared to resolve my random issues. FS9 sometimes surprise me with unusual things often happening and disappearing. As someone once mentioned there must be gremlins in it.

Do not see FS2004 Landing Pages under discussions??? Also why should the Landing Pages be under discussions??

With FS2004 for 19 years 150+GB with addoon sceneries and aircraft, own panels mods, own uploads and so on, so quite familiar with logistics But one always learns (or does not listen:) What I did routinely was saving my own flights (different airports, seasons, weather, aircraft) AS DEFAULTs. Quite convenient, since the next time firing up FS, I was where I wanted to be flying the aircraft I wanted to fly........OK. BUT jumpinf from one default flight to another, I often encountered weird things like sudden shut downs, restarts, and mainly unable to shut FS down, since it was always restarting. Also the aircraft flight dynamics seem to be changing from flight to fligh. But I learned to live with it. Until I heard few times ALWAYS START WITH THE DEFAULT FLIGHT!! Must say that since I filnally listened and always start with the default Cessna in Seattle and then go to my saved flight, the problems ARE GONE. The FS runs like a whistle and my saved aircraft always behaves as when I saved it. True, there is one more step to get on my plane from Default Cessna but it is worth it! I never again save another flight as a default! and ALWAYS START WITH THE FS DEFAULT FLIGHT!!

Thanks. As a rule, how should we prioritize the layers. Should UT be above or below the mesh? Currently I have Alps mesh below UT Europe in scenery (Lower). Alps SRTM Layer 48 UT Europe Layers 910-917 And it seems to work ok. But I have it in reverse with UT Canada AK??

Hi Guenther, Got hudreds of flyables with different color schemes. Usually just add the texture and delete the download, but definitely the LH paint was obtained either from Flightsim or AVSIM. There are probably lot of aircraft with paint not belonging to that airline. Cheers,

Hi Michael. Thanks. I got UT Europe installed and did not want any other scenery to affect it. So have uninstalled mesh. Any idea if it would clash?

Hi, When the updated file version is uploaded and when trying to download the updated version, It is difficult to tell in the download, which is the new version (is it the top one or the bottom one), See picture of Tom's updated PAA DC7. Same with his BOAC DC7C.
