  1. Hi, Curious what is happening. See picture. Was always able to download? Any security added?
  2. All great shots but below is my "senior moment" admission: Forgot to extend flaps to trigger the gear warning. I guess before I had my morning cup of coffee:)
  3. B737 MAX on approach to ORD 10C. Excellent Phil Hughes CP ficticious repaint of TDS model.
  4. Hi David25210, you got me there. Have 100s of aircraft and must admit that I do not keep the initial downloads. But most likely my DC8s came from Cal Classic Tom Gibson's patch. The panel probably also, although I did few mods there. Gents on autopilots: Must say that I have definitelly sinned:) Got few different APs and also few of my own and use these randomly at my aircraft as needed. Unfortunately often defeating reality on account of my comfort. Like to enjoy my coffee when cruising. Shame on me:):) Cheers
  5. My Hawker Siddeley over NYC. Includin totally illegal pass ofer Laguardia:)
  6. From Darrenvox: "nice shots there @beroun, ive never succomed to liking the dc-8 panel as the a/p is too hard to figure out" That is why I installed a different autopilot to my DC8s Darren. Cheers
  7. The things one can do in FS9, almost unlimited. Took Transamerica DC-8 to London City airport. Never happened in reality but my FS9 with over 600 aircraft and add-on scenery can provide just about anything. Any aircraft, any airport, any weather. A real joy! Tribute to FS9!!
  8. Good old B707 days. You guessed right the PANAM 707 is over JFK:)
  9. Yeah, got the whole collection of screen shots - few here:

    Stuck in the past

Forgot to mention in my initial post that with FS2004 I enjoy the use of ADE and TTools to modify airports and AI flying around. Also tweek airfiles and panels to my liking, not to mention aircraft.cfg changes I often do. Additionally making my own gauges and approaches is bit of a hobby I have - some of these are available for download here in Flightsim. So will probably stick to FS9 for a while. Got two FS9 150GB back-ups, one in the remote garage in case the house burns down. :):):) BUT! there must be excellent features and capabilities in the new sims, so will probably get to the point when I'll try the newest one. After all, one needs to explore and not get stuck in a comfort zone:)

    Stuck in the past

Absolutely agree! We all have our own experiences and know hows and select the sim which suits us the most. They are all excellent and tribute to Misrosoft.
  12. Hi there, Still hooked on FS2004, got 1300 aircraft over 600 flyables with variety of panels - some own mods included. I like to jump from one aircraft to another, jets, props, vintage - as mentioed got hundreds. This does not seem to be available in the new FSs. Tried FSX but went back to FS2004 after some glitches with frame rates (perhaps did not give it enought time). Now eyeballing FS2020 and all of a sudden 2024 comes in. I am more nto flying than scenery and trully my FS2004 scenery with many add-ons suffice. So I am now contemplating what to do? My initial reaction is that my decades long effort to profound FS9 would be wasted? On the other hand the progress is sometimes important and I could still keep FS9 in my pocket. Additionally a new rig would be required and the feeling of being a novice with lot to learn could be an issue. Maybe I am stuck in a comfort zone?:) So just sharing some thoughts going through my head. Cheers
  13. Tried to tweak the contact points in line with a similar sea plane I have (which moves in water OK). But no luck, the Clipper looks like tied up - no movement with full throttles. I can actually sometimes get it to move when slewing (Y) a bit in either direction and hitting Y again. Weird. Mainly because all other sea planes I have take off OK? All other Mike Stone's aircraft are excellent, so surprised to see this flaw. Also jfg, do not have the collision detection turned on.
  14. Hi there, Not too much into sea planes but have uploaded Mike Stone's Boeing314 Clipper. For some reason the aircraft does not move in water - full throttle and no motion? Tried different panels, still no take-off. Different sea planes take off from this seaport OK, So it must be something specific with Mikes Clipper. Probably some trivia? Any clue?
  15. Oh James I even remember FS4 on a small 1.2MB disc! Have turned my PC facing my office entrance, so that my boss does not see me flying:)
  16. Thanks JSkorna, refreshing the ATC by moving the sim time (after chnging the wind) helped. One always learns something new. I will also look at FSUIPC to see if it can be done automatica;;y. Many Thanks again Cheers
  17. Hi, For some unknown reason I now have ATC arriving and departing all flights always from the same runway, regardless how I set the wind direction. Example: Seattle 34s are always offered by ATC, even if I set the wind to oposite 16. (even high velocity) In the past, when testing approaches, the ATC always complied with the wind directions and offered correct runways. Do not recall doing any changes in FS settings or FSUPC settings, so bit confused. Any clue?
  18. When you fly IFR, do you follow ATC instructions? And if so does this weering happen? Also did you try the flight w/o fast forwarding? Does ILS affect it? Many qs. Also posting a video showing the event would help.
  19. Nice paint job. Thanks Phillip Hughes. IMG_6018.zip
  20. Version 1.0.0

    45 downloads

FS2004 - The installation of a digital Speed Gauge with True speed and Indicated speed readings. The instrument can be installed as a new gauge, or in a new window, which can be opened by a small button, then the gauge can be resized and positioned to any convenient panel location.
  21. Considering MSFS 2020 but still bit hesitant. Would definitely need new PC with recommended specs and even bandwith upgrade from my provider. Also, I am more into flying than into scenery and FS2004 with add-ons (120GB now) suffice. It also offers variety of ad-on aircraft and panels and I enjoy hundreds. Have plenty of my own mods also. So, will eventually go for MSFS 2020 but have it still on hold for now.

    MFD Question

Wow, you gents use the legal languege, I am lacking. I am also enquering about this directly with Adrian from Flightsim and await his answer. So maybe there will be some clarity shed on this. Cheers,

    MFD Question

Interesting. I could have easily used my own gauges but cannot beat KMs. Also do not see any policy requirements in the new WEB. In either case the freeware is used in the freeware, so would not understand the issue. Why someone releasing the freeware would prevent our community to use it elsewhere? I am sure all the new aircraft texture painters do not ask model makers for the permission to re-paint their models?

    MFD Question

Thanks for response JGF. Answer is neither. His freeware gauges are unchanged just used in the openable, resizable and movable windows, so that the components can be positioned anyplace in 2D cockpit. I did not get hold of Ken (tried hard) but have tuched base with another Comunity Guru, who assured me that giving credit to Ken in my freeware download woud suffice. I obviously did this. Best Regards, Peter
