  1. Normally the entire folder goes into your main Sound folder. I did not mention a DC-4/6 panel, but instead a custom 314 panel from Ken Mitchell. There are no sounds in that panel.
  2. There is a Ken Mitchell panel linked on my page above.
  3. I also have a replacement FDE from FSAviator available. http://www.calclassic.com/b314.htm
  4. Hi, The NET Framework was never needed for FS, but lots of FS utility programs used it (and still use it).

FS2004/FSX/P3D LORAN (LOng RAnge Navigation) gauge. Long before GPS, a method was developed to be able to navigate on long overwater flights without the issues of weather and visibility involved with celestial navigation. LORAN was originally used during WWII to assist the Allies in bombing raids and in transport duties. It was later used by the airlines to navigate across the oceans. This gauge from CalClassic simulates the operation of the AN/APN-4 instrument of WWII vintage, complete with peak alignment and reading the time delay values from the oscilloscope screen. It uses the station pairs included on the coverage map from 1954, but can be used in any era from WWII to around 1975. Installation instructions include adding the gauge to the JBK DC-6, CalClassic DC-6 and DC-7, and the Manfred Jahn L-749 Constellation, L-1049G Super Constellation, and the L-1649A Starliner 4.0. Instructions are also included to add the gauge to any other panel. By Jorge Rechani and Tom Gibson. Thanks to loran-history.info for providing the LORAN coverage map.

Hi, It puts the image onto the Clipboard. Open a paint program and choose Paste New Image.
  7. You can't change the mousewheel action in F1View to Ctrl-mousewheel or similar? Too bad.
  8. Failed to Create MSXML object usually means you don't have a needed program installed. Details at the FSDeveloper ADE Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials forum. https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/tip-compiler-error-c1003-failed-to-create-msxml-object.429868/
  9. And you need civility classes...
  10. I agree that's true, but does it have to be? Can't we wish and campaign for a more enlightened society? Just because something is a certain way does not make it right!
  11. Keep in mind that native FSX models can use BMP textures too, if the author wants to. It's unusual, I'll agree, but mine do.
  12. And you cannot use FSX aircraft or scenery of any sort directly in FS9.
  13. You would need to use a program like SBuilder or Ground2K4 to exclude the shorelines in that area causing the wave effects.
  14. You could create an exclude rectangle(s) using a tool like ExcBuilder2 or ADE?
  15. Have you tried pressing the Q key?
  16. It's no problem to have two airport files, so just leave things alone and you will be fine. The only way you would get into trouble is if the files had different airport ref points, which they do not.
  17. Yeah, the file is probably too large, or has too many aprons, vertices, or other objects. AFCAD did not have such limitations (it used its own compiler). Putting into ADE and using split compile as suggested above might work, though.
  18. It certainly helps for me - when the sim seems sluggish it gives me higher frame rates and faster scenery loading.
  19. Yes, use BGLComp to compile it as usual and add it to any active scenery folder.
  20. If you just use the template XML files and edit them to fit your needs it shouldn't be too bad.
  21. Also available at other sites. https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/2795/flight-simulator-2004-update-v91/
  22. I do something in between, I use the previous flight for a week or two, then load the default flight to reset things.
  23. Vertex This element is used to add a vertex to another element, either as a fixed point or as a bias. In the case of an Apron, it is used to specify X and Z deltas (meters) from the airport reference point. This element is not allowed to contain other data and must be terminated with ‘/>’. <Vertex biasX="-552.966980" biasZ="-775.700012"/> <Vertex lon="10.234" lat="65.299"/> Attribute Description Acceptable Values biasX Bias from airport reference point in meters Floating point value biasZ Bias from airport reference point in meters Floating point value Attribute Description Acceptable Values lat Latitude -90 to +90 degrees Format can be decimal or degrees-minutes-seconds lon Longitude -180 to +180 degrees Format can be decimal or degrees-minutes-seconds
