  1. Picky, picky! lol I know I "read" flight... Expectation bias strikes again.
  2. Thanks Macro. Actually, grabbed hot sausages and coffee here next to the flight line. Friendly staff at 12N! This is part of the great scenery package.
  3. I only fly in FSX, but this model really has great visual detail. In FSX I'm still getting a feel for the many helos. Biggest problem is flying flying from any cockpit view. Without a good 45 deg wide view, nearly impossible to perceive drift. Getting better with practice. Slowly writing a review of handling characteristics for several FSX helos to upload as a tutorial/new helo flyer article. Just need to figure best video capture (easy is what I need).
  4. Great looking aircraft. Careful not to violate Vatican airspace. Well done.
  5. Click on Discussion tab at top of page, then select from drop-down list.
  6. Thanks, we'll wait and see. Gets better every day.
  7. Really like the by FS type Landing Pages. Just wondering what is the intended function of the Filemanager quick link? Thanks.
  8. Woke up to a cold crisp sun filled morning. Perfect to exercise the FSX default Piper J-3 Cub. Drive to Aeroflex-Andover (12N) in northern New Jersey, Using the wonderful scenery package by Curtis Weeman. 12naerfl.zip Prefilght. Taxi past the sleeping classics. Lineup, no one else in the pattern. Slowly pull back now... Yippee!!!!!
  9. The new upload is much simpler than the old, allowing larger jpeg pics, You select the primary pic which becomes the high quality thumbnail. The poor quality ones are previous small thumbnails stretched to fill a larger pixel location. These will improve as the item owners upload better quality pics.
  10. You are most welcome. Also, I messaged you and sent a pic to see if you might help me find some information. Thx.
  11. Perfect! Anyone who's sat in the pointy end landing at EWR will definitely appreciate this. Thx.

This is the nd in a serious of repaints for countries that flew the North American T-28 in their military. Ten T-28As were ordered by the Batista regime but were never delivered owing to an arms embargo, although at least one T-28 seems to have been acquired at some stage which was put on display at a museum at Playa Girón. This version represents that aircraft. T28 Cuba AF.zip
  13. This is GREAT info, mine was set to 256. Thanks!!!
  14. The USS Macon and her sister ship the USS Akron were the pinnacle of US lighter than air technology in the early 1930's. Here she is sailing through the ocean of air on a smooth moon filled night.
  15. I have always loved this photo, imagining that our USN liaison was living a life similar to what we saw in the film Casa Blanca. Spies and intrigue abound. Here is my FSX recreation of this moment in 1944.
  16. T/O not R/O, oh well, typing is not my best skill set.
  17. Thanks Bill. Not a ramp R/O but an unauthorized low flyby of the ramp to wake up the fast movers. And its "Phrog" as in "Frog" as we called our beloved H-46's. Looking forward to sparring with memories as we move forward in this great forum of FlightSim.
  18. THE END OF AN ERA. Reminiscing to my youth, when you’d get excited with a glimpse of one of these hangars through the trees driving through the New Jersey pine barrens. All the kids waving to the Navy blimps as they cruised past the beaches Seaside Park, Point Pleasant, and others. Then having a retired Navy Cmdr. and blimp pilot/CO as a teacher while in High School. Lighter than air will always be a part of my love for aviation. This FSX screenshot is at NAS Lakehurst (now part of JBMDL Joint Base McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst). The scenery is FS2004 Scenery--Lakehurst NJ (Knelvera.zip) by Ray Lunning. While flying FSX Goodyear K-28 Navy Blimp (goodyeark-28.zip) by George Diemer.
  19. Thank you, happy that you enjoyed them.
  20. So glad you posted this. I have had the ACOF F2004 metal box on the shelf since I switched to FSX. But there are so many old 2004 aircraft files on a thumb-drive waiting to fly again. I'm goin to use this method to load FS2004 and share flying time between the two versions. THANK YOU!
  21. The year is 1979, the place is NAS Whiting Field (south). Finally get to solo a helicopter, a Bell TH-57. Beautiful Florida morning, cleared to taxi, take off, then a short hop over to NOLF Spencer to practice autorotation, cut gun, HIGE, HOGE, and precision hover/taxi, working the ground boxes (hover maneuvering patterns of turns and taxi around a painted 50 ft. square on the ground). I highly recommend this FSX aircraft to learn to hover/hover taxi. Take it slow and handle the controls with finesse. Used the TH-57 repaint for the base Bell 206 th57fsx.zip by Andrew L. J. Ford, and the FSX Scenery--NAS Whiting Field North And South scenery package knse_kndz.zip by Jim Dhaenens.
  22. Osmany, Have you tried searching "Cuba" in the FSX downloads? I found 10 jetliners are there related to Cuba. Happy searching.
