  1. "Downloaded FSX Gold edition" - from where? FSX Gold is not a downloadable product, only FSX Steam Edition (FSX:SE) is, as far as I know. And if this is the Steam editoin, then the uiautomationcore is already in there. Jorgen
  2. There are always exceptions to the rules, especially to the unspoken ones.... Jorgen
  3. Are you using GeForce Experience to do the updating? That usually works pretty well, and will tell you the installed driver version also. If all else fails, you might want to go to the nVidia support forums. Jorgen
  4. Two things to notice: 1. This thread is almost exactly 2 years old, and 2. This forum deals with FSX. I do not mean to discourage you from posting, and I apologize if this looks like it. To get a reply to your question, you would probably be better off going to the AIG forums, where a lot of AFCAD designers hang out. Jorgen
  5. Who is the developer of this Seattle Airport X? It MAY install an elevation file in Scenery\World\Scenery, or there may be duplicate ones there. In all cases you need to contact the developer for things such as this. Jorgen
  6. Jim, A question, because the disconnect-reconnect worked with the yoke plugged directly into the computer: I would then assume that you used USB hubs - were they all powered? Jorgen
  7. Gentlemen (and possible ladies), I know that the OZx site does not exist any more, but does anyone know if the OZx sceneries v. 3.x are compatible with P3D v. 5.2? Thanks in advance - Jorgen
  8. Thank you for this post, even though it was 5 years late! This solution is relevant for anyone with any USB connection issues. Good work - Jorgen
  9. I will try to answer your questions in order: 1. FSX:SE (as the Steam version is usually called) is a downloadable version of FSX Acceleration, with a couple of fixes thrown in. It does not require an online connection to run, and does not have a disk version. 2. Yes, it works fine with Windows 10. 3. Not true. The installation is straightforward - it is the path to which it installs by default that take some users by surprise. 4. No. 5. Yes. 6. For all practical purposes, it IS FSX Acceleration. 7. By far the most add-ons for FSX, scenery, aircraft etc., will work on FSX:SE. I have not heard of any that do not work. 8. You MIGHT, if you are lucky, and on a good day, be able to find a copy of the disk FSX. If you are even luckier, you MIGHT find a virgin (never used) copy, but that is extremely unlikely. Stay away from such (unless a virgin copy), you might easily have activation problems. 9. A Steam account is an account you establish with the Steam Portal, enabling you to access the Steam library of games. Establishing such an account is free. 10. When you have a Steam account, search their game library. You pay using a debit or credit card, and then download it. If you have any questions, then just ask away - but ask HERE, please. Jorgen
  10. I could not say if such an off-the-shelf program is "worth it". My take on AI is fundamentally different: I "collect" AI flight plans from various sites, and then download and install the aircraft involved from yet other sites. I have now just over 10,300 flight plans active.... and it's all freeware! Jorgen
  11. Steve, that question is one I have asked in a couple of places also. If I run into a solution I will post it here. Jorgen
  12. They are automatically installed. Jorgen
  13. If you haven't done it already, then move your OS disk to SSD... you'll be wondering why you haven't done that long ago. Boot times that you will not believe! Jorgen
  14. My bad, this is what I should have said - put the downloaded file in the main FSX folder, and nowhere else, and if there is one there already, overwrite it. Jorgen
  15. It is the one in the main FSX folder - and ONLY that one - that you should replace with the downloaded version. The one in Windows\System32 must be left alone. Jorgen
  16. I am sorry to rain on your parade, but the uiautomationcore.dll fix has been known for many years, including in the forums on this site. This fix is actually incorporated in FSX:SE. Emptying the temp folders has no effect on running FSX. Jorgen
  17. Allow me a quote: "I've tried contacting RAZBAM directly via their store page and social media; however, I have not received any response from them." In such a case, demand your money back - I mean, DEMAND! They made the product and gladly took your money, they own the support obligations. Jorgen
  18. Skip, P3D v. 5.2 has been out for quite a while now. Step 1 to resolve your issue: upgrade to that version. Jorgen
  19. Google AIFP and read all about AI on the AIG website. Jorgen
  20. I cannot answer that particular question, since I don't use the AIG Manager. I install flightplans using AIFP, and then I add the AI aircraft or liveries "manually". Jorgen
  21. Microsoft cannot and will not help because support for FSX ended long ago, and none of their techs know FSX nowadays. A way around your issues would be to buy FSX:SE, also known as FSX Steam, which sells cheaply at Steam sales and also comes with Acceleration built-in. Jorgen
  22. Other things you might need to try are reducing LOD_RADIUS and the resolution in FSX.CFG. Jorgen
  23. Well, if I go under "Latest additions" I can download from there just fine. But, when I search for "estafeta", I click download on the right, and on the next screen I get a link to a file name at the bottom of the screen. It is when I click on that link that I get the error. Jorgen
  24. It has been a while (!) since I installed FSX, but as far as my ailing memory goes, there will be a button labeled "Options" on one of the very first installation screens. That sould give you the option to install to where you want. Jorgen
  25. Haven't tried Edge yet, but my Firefox is also 91.0.2 (64-bit). I also tried with anti-virus turned off, no go either. Edge is the next step  Thanks, guys - Jorgen Edit: same problem with Edge....
