  1. You are right. ASE. I'm sorry. I am a member of numerous support forums including Windows 10 and I got confused. My bad. I didn't have an issue until the new update they sent me. What I noticed yesterday is the METAR is showing overcast skies but the information listed in TAF below it is showing broken. I am wondering if the error comes from this different information? I will try uninstalling FSUIPC and reinstall it to see if it matters. But I think the problem lies in the difference between the METAR and TAF readings. I need to study up on what TAF is and why it would be different in ASE. And yes I have set weather settings in FS9 to maximum. Thank you.
  2. Is anyone still using FSE? After I was sent the latest update to correct the license problem my overcast no longer works. I have done numerous flights into and out of KBGR this past week. Every time the METAR showed overcast FSE was giving me mostly cloudy skies with about 20% blue skies. There was one day where the METAR showed overcast with rain. I got the rain but I could see a lot of blue sky. I have emailed Hifi support with this issue. They asked for several different log files which I promptly sent them. Then 3 days ago they stopped responding to me. No fix. No we need more time. Nothing. I have politely asked them if they have any more information and I have been ignored for days. Does anyone know how to get overcast skies in FSE? I have read the manual several times and made sure that my settings in FSE as well as the paid version of FSUIPC are correct as stated in the manual. FSE worked perfectly up until the latest update was sent to me. I am reaching out to the FS9 community now since Hifi support has decided to stop helping me. Any ideas? Thank you.
  3. I have stopped using Facebook. I'm sorry but I will not subscribe no matter how good you say it is going to be. I like my privacy. Just put the information here in these forums. With all of the issues lately with Facebook I closed my account. No thanks.
  4. I agree with Peter. This problem has cropped up recently. Never had the issue before. And all fixes listed in this thread do not work. I have no idea what's wrong but I'll keep at it until I find the issue.
  5. Thank you for the suggestion. I contacted them yesterday and they did email me the link to an update. I can now load FSE without the license error message. But now my overcast skies are broken. Yesterday we had overcast and moderate rain here in KDFW. FSE showed the rain but I had partly cloudy skies with a lot of blue sky patches. So now I need to figure this one out. But I don't want to hijack this topic. Thanks again for the help!
  6. I am seeing the same thing while using FSRealWX. My ASE won't work due to some type of licensing issue so I am using FSRealWX. Even clicking to refresh AI does not help. The allow changes to FS own weather doesn't work either. Only have this issue with FSRealWX. OP you are not alone. I would just ignore ATC (Radar Contact) and take off into the wind but the AI are landing towards me.
  7. Thanks guys. I don't have time today to check it. But if I get the issue tomorrow I'll contact support. I'm hoping it was just a glitch that will fix itself.
  8. After not flying FS9 for a few weeks I fired up the sim to do a flight today. I bought ASE over a year ago and it has been working flawlessly until today. I keep getting the message that my license key is not valid and it needs to be activated. It has an OK key to activate but when I click on it fails stating there was an error activating the product. I am wondering if it's just a problem with their server being down? Nothing has changed on my computer and this is the same machine that ASE was activated on. No other machine. If anyone else uses ASE or another one of the Hifi programs for weather can you please check and see if your program errors also? Can you tell me if you can connect to their servers to get current weather? I'll try again tomorrow in case their servers are down. I also noticed that the download from their website for a program called KeyResetASE.zip to reset the activation also fails. I can not get the download. Thanks!
  9. I use ASE and always use current weather. Works fine for me. Although I do love landing the HJG DC-9-30 or HJG B727-200 in a blinding snow storm. So I might try that today or tomorrow. I had the PMDG B1900 but lost it in a HDD crash before I used to backup my drives. PMDG would not let me download it without paying for the plane again. Wish I still had that one. It was fun to land in bad weather also.
  10. All of the panels, sounds, and manuals are on the HJG websites. They are in seperate areas on the website. Make sure you download the proper panels for the aircraft you downloaded. IE a DC9-30 has a specific DC9-30 panel in the panels section. HJG also has a very good user's forum if you have any questions. Most questions are already answered in the forums. Enjoy!
  11. Yup. Love that website. I use their DC9-30 and B727-200 almost daily. I love flying the old way and not with a GPS or flight computer. I have many other aircraft from their site but those two are my favorite. The Caravelle is really good too!
  12. Thanks guys! I'll tackle this soon :)
  13. Thanks all. I will try the JB Weld trick. Old_Wombat I haven't opened the yoke up yet to see what's stripped. That's why I was asking here if others had the same problem and what it might be. Looks like I'll need to open it up and try the JB Weld trick. Thanks.
  14. I have a CH Products Flight Yoke USB that it probably 10 years old. It works great but the clamps (that clamp the yoke to a desk) are stripped. In other words I can not tighten the clamps enough anymore so the clamps hold the yoke to my desk. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and what you did to fix it? I have found replacement clamps and clamp extenders at the CH Product's Parts Store. But I don't think this is where my problem is. I think the actual base that the clamps screw into is stripped. Both clamps. I hate to shell out another $119 for a new Yoke. The only repair video I could find was one to change the internal springs to rubber bands. In that video's comments a guy states that he did use JB Weld to fix his stripped clamps. But he never said how he fixed it. Anyone out there run across this before and how did you fix it? Thanks.
