A Cirrus Vision Jet on the RNAV Runway 9 approach to Key West (KEYW) in today's RW rainy and windy weather. The orange blob on the MFD is an area of moderate rain directly over the airport. This video is a good illustration of the realistic weather effects in FS2020.

A Cessna 152 landing on Runway 5L at Knoxville, Tennessee (KTYS) in today's windy, gusty, crosswind RW weather conditions. Eventually made the centerline (better late than never )

An outstanding adventure Buck. Well done! BTW, are you sure your pax were the real Blues Brothers? Jake and Elwood.? Maybe they were traveling under assumed names?

Thanks for the good words guys. Agree on the "niceness" of North Island. Don't know about flights under the Coronado Bridge but sounds like something a Marines and Seals combo would do.

In these shots, we fly along with a couple of shore duty Navy pilots taking the station R4D on a proficiency flight from North Island Naval Air Station (KNZY) in Coronado, California up the coast to Lemoore Naval Air Station (KNLC) near Fresno.
[click on the shots for a full-screen view]
Ready for takeoff on Runway 29 with the wind straight down the runway and Point Loma in the distance.
After gear up the plane makes a climbing 360-degree left turn to gain altitude before turning on course up the coast.
At altitude on the back side of the turn gives a spectacular view of the San Diego bay area. Visible are NAS North Island, Coronado, the Silver Strand, downtown San Diego, San Diego International Airport (KSAN), Harbor and Shelter Islands, Ballast Point, and Point Loma.
Heading up the coast past Mission Bay with La Jolla Cove ahead and the runways of Miramar Marine Corps Air Station visible off the right wing and out the co-pilot window.
After a couple of hours en route we're on final at Lemoore. Surrounded by flat farmland the scenery isn't quite as picturesque as the San Diego bay area but the snow-covered Sierra Nevadas in the distance are impressive.
Touch down and parked on the ramp surrounded by F/A-18s. Welcome to Lemoore!

Bill, I could have sworn I read in the POH that the Vision Jet has a button to press to fold it down to suitcase size. Then it can be your carry-on for the cruise. Bon Voyage!
I wil definitely check the buttons on the MCPs Phrog! Just coincidentally I took a RL cruise on the Elation's sister ship the "Celebration" from Tampa to Cancun a few years back. No Vision Jet though.

An awesome shot of a worthy successor to the P3. This is the correct version with no winglets.

I've never seen that ship in the sim.....
It's from the freeware Global AI Ship Traffic package. AI Ships, Boats & Global Traffic for MSFS (flyawaysimulation.com)

I like this plane, never knew its existence until you posted it. that last capture looks like it's off to flight dynamics school with its backpack on its back.... I use to enjoy a good Margarita back in the day..... cool captures Bill.....
Thanks, David. For my money, this is one of the best payware aircraft yet released for MSFS and flies very close to the real thing. It uses the Working Title G3000 which needs an update after the recent Avionics update to the base sim but otherwise flies exactly like the real deal. I can see why IRL there's something like a 250 order backlog and years-long waiting list to get one even with a $3M price tag.

Yes, Mr. Z, "Lone Star" is the first item on the El Paso trip checklist

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a Mexican girl
Nighttime would find me in Rosa's Cantina
Music would play and Faleena would whirl
- Song lyrics from "El Paso" by Marty Robbins
Some quick shots of landing at El Paso International Airport (KELP) with today's RW weather scattered rain showers over the dry desert terrain. I've flown into KELP many times IRL on business but this is the first time in MSFS. This is pretty much what it looks like IRL so good job MSFS. Unfortunately, no Mexican girls were involved in the RL trips
We see double rainbows on short final and exiting the runway we pass Air Force C-17s on the ramp at nearby Fort Bliss Army Base.

I'm thinking, Barrow, PABR, Wiley Post-Will Rogers Memoria Airport, Alaska..... I have a great love of mountain ranges so at the moment I'm following the Andes up the south coast of South America then eventually pick up the Rockies and follow them north up the American west side...... I don't have any real flight plan so I'm free I can aviate and deviate ha
Well, you'll certainly get some great mountain views on that route. For the greatest N-S distance transversing the Americas CFS Alert (CYLT) on the northern tip of Ellesmere Island and 541 miles from the north pole would be the point I think. It is (or was) the northernmost inhabited place on earth.

What a great adventure! Where (or what) is the northernmost endpoint?

Great near zero zero departure. Hope you had an emergency divert planned with IFR approach minimums or better. Would not want to try to get back into there.
Thanks, Phrog. The ultimate emergency divert plan in a Vision Jet is the CAPS ballistic parachute!

Not seen one of these forever... I love the ground shots shrouded in the mist.. such a cute little plane isn't it....
Thanks, David. I think the Vision Jet is one of the more realistic aircraft yet released for MFSF and is really fun to fly. It compares very well with the TBM, Longitude, and Honda Jet but needs the Working Ttitle G3000 to be upgraded to the same level as the recent MS G3000 sim avionics upgrade in those other planes.

Great NZ scenery shots David and I agree the TBM is a winner!
