Yep...nothing like pulling a 4g takeoff in a Cessna :)

The "trim" wheel on the CH Products mechanically moves the elevator axis and is very coarse.
Saitek use to make a stand-alone USB trim wheel but now they are selling for $300.00 used.
Found this one for $79.99...

Carenado appears to be slowly releasing FSX ported over to MSFS models (Next up is the Piper Seneca). Probably eventualy get around to the Skymaster.
For FSX/P3D...

There could be a problem with a "texture.cfg", these tell the model which folders to look in for textures. Sometimes poor implementation can cause what your describing. If a texture is all ready loaded in memory, it may not load the next intended texture when you switch to a different livery.
-
You mention you have a "occasional issue" which sounds more like when switching liveries your running out of VAS memory rather then a error in the aircraft.cfg. I get the same behavior when switching too many QW787 liveries.
Does this happen with the Duchess 76 when you first start FSX?

Never a good idea to post your email in forums unless you like lots of scams and junk mail.

Feather the props to neutral?

I've used and still use Acronis WD Edition to make backups/transfers of drives (with or without Windows) and they always have booted and worked perfectly.
Question is did you do it before the drive failure?
-
Only thing I know that makes textures blurry is when they are saved with MIPMAPS. What they are is progressive sets of smaller and smaller textures within the main texture intended to save frame rates as the object gets farther away.
They are fine for use on AI aircraft, but look like crap on your own aircraft, especially when you pan around it.
Be sure it is turned off when you save textures in graphics programs.

This guy explains how to edit the sim to use 3 custom liveries per model...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxmAs9qDCss
and also how to add a 4th here...

Asobo needs to update the sim to use more.

Unlike previous flight sims, MSFS AI traffic is linked to real world traffic and the downside of that is delays, diversions, and ultimately, the unthinkable. Some disgruntled passenger, or any internet troll, could fabricate and post a very realistic video on social media of an airline doing something downright dangerous and cost that airline dearly in lost revenue.
I'm not following your concern, as MSFS also has a off-line AI mode. If a livery makeover comes in the form of a off-line only version as in earlier flightsim ai packages, I for one would be very satisfied.

It appears Kenmore IS a honest to god REAL airline in the Pacific Northwest.
At least one company realizes the potential of being onboard cuz I never heard of them before.
-
FSX legacy liveries available on appropriate planes : Kenmore, Emerald Gold, Global Freightways, Orbit, Pacifica and World Travel
Please Asobo, these generic airlines were the first things to go when setting up FS2004 and FSX. This was a stab in the back and the knife twisted.
I would think commercial airlines would be ecstatic to have the free advertising of their liveries flying around in a simulator. I guess I don't understand the legality's of it all.
-
Never used WOAI before, however if they are working on it, there may be hope. I checked their forum but didn't see any mention of MSFS.
-
Then you get real world live traffic with generic liveries.

Was hoping one of the 3rd party guys would have stepped up by now, like JustFlight.
What can be done to get rid of all these fakes?

Have Fanatec steering wheels and found this system where you can attach a magnetic emblem for the car make your driving.
But these guys don't sell to the USA.

OR...

Anybody know who sells them to United States?

Summited report loki THANKS.
Wish you would create a sticky thread for this and leave it up for awhile
-
Yeah, loki mentioned that months ago and I set mine up for offline also. Worked one time.
I think most users naturally want the best experience so they're not too concerned to be able to use it offline.
-
They [Asobo] promised an off line functionality but evidently what I call functionality and what MS calls functionality are two different things.
Wish the flight sim community would band togethor and hold them accountable for the "Big Lie"

Check out youtube video from jayz2cents. He's a tech guru and also a flight sim enthusiast...
Traffic Global (for P3D & FSX)
in FSX General Discussion
Posted
As far as military, no but they have said they will make add-on packs to add military.
I don't have Traffic Global, have Traffic 360 which DOES include GA and Military and even helicoptors.
