  2. mrzippy found a A350 for MSFS...

    https://www.msfsaddon.com/2021/02/msfs2020-airbus-a350-xwb-freeware.html

It has a great exterior model, but a few interior issues with SU8.

Glass is a green checkerboard, HUD pulldown is pink checkerboard.

Also, the creator decided to go with the b787 VC with a yoke, why not the a320 VC with a proper sidestick?

When I throttled up, both engines died???

Has anybody modded the exterior model to use the a320 VC and corrected the other mentioned issues?

EDIT: Also, found a work in progress from Digital Flight Dynamics that is supposed to be freeware, but not released yet.

  3. When you posted this in the MSFS Forum, it got hijacked as such, sorry :)

Back to FS2004 from here on...

Since FS9 did not include any Airbus that you could alias to, you could just find one and use it with the TDS

  4. THANKS Charlie! I checked TDS but didn't find this one.

Will give it a spin (metaphorically of course) ;)

    Too many issues!

Interior view - Glass is green checkerboard, HUD pulldown glass is pink checkerboard. A Boeing cockpit (with yoke) in an Airbus. Should have just used the a320 cockpit with a proper sidestick. Several airlines I never heard of. Too bad, exterior model looks great.

  5. A little confused by "...moving the folders to the community/packages"

The Community folder is the root folder for add-ons. There is no Community/Packages folder. I have the Microsoft version. Maybe Steam is different?

Also be sure when you say the FlyTampa Las Vegas scenery is active that the AI settings are the Aerosoft recommended settings for Simple Traffic.

EDIT: there is a shortcut in my Community folder for Simple Traffic...

    aerosoft-tool-simple-traffic

You should have a similar indication in the Community folder for FlyTampa if you bought directly from them or possibly a folder in the Official folder if you bought it from the Marketplace.

  6. Over 40,000 views and no response LOL

Anyways, I just made my own. "Borrowed" the artwork ftom various sites. Resized it (2.25" for six bolt pattern and 1.5" for 3 bolt pattern), printed on my color laser. Then took down to a local button maker.

Button maker had adhesive magnetic disks that I put on the wheels. Then just swap a metal emblem on the magnet.

    On a DimSim F320H...

  7. Good day,

I have a question here that might be off the track. I have the tail numbers changed ane the Sim ATC uses the number that I have entered as my ID.

Question is why are you in the aircraft config at all. I changed mine in the sim and it sticks for that aircraft and livery.

Here are the steps that I take:

    1) In the world map click on the aircraft top left corner

    2) Click liveries (if necessary to select the one you want)

    3) Select desired livery (if necessary)

    4) Click Customization

    5) Change Tail number, Call sign as desired (I leave the flight number blank)

    6) Append heavy as desired

    7) Show tail number to on.

    8) Click close (lower left)

That is all there is to it from my perspective. Every time I use that aircraft and livery the info entered here is used. It is retained in the sim. Do this for each of the aircraft you use regularly.

Worth a try if you haven't already.

    Hal

I'm aware of this procedure also. Sometimes I like to edit stuff while at the desktop. Would you happen to know if this directly edits the aircraft.cfg's or is this a user setup file and where it is?
